Well, since I was there for business and not leisure it is hard to talk for both sides. For business garment it is the place you have to go because all factories are around, but for leisure I might suggest you to go some other places in India.
As far as i am aware the only reason to go to Tirrupur is for business and that is quite limited to matters related to cotton production.
