Traveling to Thailand? Find Trat hotels

I have been many places in Thailand (Krabi, Lanta, Trang), but this place is my clear favourite so far. The whole week was so completely relaxing and pleasant. It feels almost to have a beach of your own when you are staying here. Quite easy to get her from bangkok too (I took a car service form Ekammai to Trat bus station and then a taxi to the hotel - about 5 hours in total - and took a quick flight back). The location is best if you are looking for beach and relaxation or if you are en route to Cambodia. The massage was good. Warmly recommend this place and would like to go back.

Perfect getaway vacation. The hotel is only one year old so the facilities are great. It's located on a beautiful beach (private for hotel guests), and offers kayaks and surfboards for guests. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was super gorgeous and spacious, if you book the deluxe room, the mini-bar is free and refilled daily. Breakfast buffet is good, the restaurant doesn't have too many vegetarian options for other meals. They also host nice performances at nights (we saw a music and fire show). The hotel feels like a remote paradise, if you're looking for bars&parties, it's not for you as the hotel is the only thing around. If you're traveling from Tart, you can take the minibus to Cambodia, the driver will drop you by the hotel and they'll come to pick you up, you can also catch it on your way back to Trat. It costs 80 baht instead of 1,500 a taxi would.

This place is ok as a small beach resort but is very much set up for Thai's not so much Foreign Western visitors. Quite secluded being some distance from Trat City and also Khlong Yai town so you will need transport if you wish to visit. Good for a few nights relaxing if you are in transit from Thai to Cambodia , nice beach , small but ok pool and garden style setting is nice. Breakfast choices adequate enough.

This was a stopover on one of my trips and I decided to try a different hotel in Trat. Hotel Toscana was a very pleasant surprise. Although it is located a little out of the way it is definitely worth the trip. I had a very large, clean room with friendly staff, cold AC, and great wifi. A very nice pool and free breakfast made to order the next morning capped off a very pleasant stay. I will definitely be staying there again.

So much! Especially the pool and the slide. The barbecue is delicious of an evening and extremely reasonably priced. Location is awkward but after exploring Trat for three days I note that is no fault of the hotel at all because there is no real 'central' Trat. But the taxi drivers are so cheap and friendly that it's no issue at all taking day trips out from here and back. The rooms are immaculate, clean and smell so good. I loved the chickens next door and my little balcony that afforded me viewing pleasure of local Thai living. I especially adored the quality breakfast buffet offered and the friendliness of all the staff. I LOVED this place. I would come to Trat again just to stay here. I love the staff!! Miss you all!

Room # 216 ( Deluxe Sea View ) > Via Agoda paid 1,250 Baht Firstly the 'Sea View' rooms are Mangrove Forest view rooms - See photo attched :) We enjoyed Everything about this Resort.... It is about a 20 Minute drive away from Trat city centre. We had a car, but the Owners will collect you from Trat city centre and return you. The Rooms are JUST as you see on the booking Websites = Great news. The concrete wall units were built new just 2 years ago plus the wooden units keep the original Thai wooden look but newly renovated just 1 Year ago. The Units are built very very well, to a high standard of design and were a pleasure to stay in - Everything worked that we needed and touched :) There was 1 x Power Outlet at each side of the bed for your Technology. We had dinner here and we had the whole restaurant ( and staff to ourselves ) - Food was great - Prawn cakes, whole Fish and Crab curry. Super clean, new, cozy, great price, good minibar prices - recommended! Breakfast was sold separately for 150 baht, simplistic but ok. A bit far from the trat bus stop 5km - a taxi cost was 150baht, but manaegable. the transfer to pier to koh chang was 450 baht from the hotel on a very low-quality and dirty car which put its gas right to where we sit in the covered trunk - the only bad thing to say about the hotel. The room itself, shower, beds etc - extremely good. Overall i think its a very good place to stay in Trat region!

A nice modern new hotel in Trat. There's not much to see or do in the town but if you need to stay over on your way to/from Cambodia without the hassle of going to Ko Chang, it's a good option. Rooms are a decent size with aircon, fridge, tv, free wifi and private bathroom, although the shower is not enclosed as is often the case in Asia so it does make the whole bathroom wet. Also each room has a small balcony. A basic breakfast is included but there is also Nineone coffee just across the road if you want a latte. It's a 50 baht (just over £1UK) to the bus station to get a minibus to the Cambodian border. Recommended, really good for the low price you pay

The Rimklong Boutique Hotel is a really good choice if you look for a Hotel in Trat. The Staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. The room I had was perfectly clean and very quiet. The comfortable bed invites to stay longer. All together a very good experience. I'll come back again

When I was there I didn't see any other tourist - but maybe there was, because I got the 3rd bungalow room. The staff was very friendly, they are not used to mass tourism - and that's very good! The dinner there - I ate some fish - was amazing! It was fresh made, and the taste was excellent! The price was very good! :) The rooms are amazing! The only thing is the location: it is not easy to go there if you don't have a car, and not easy to swim in the water (I didn't try). I saw that they have bicycles to rent. I went there by my own bicycle. It is half way between Trat and the Cambodian boarder. If you want to spend your honeymoon in this hotel, I think it is a right place! ;)

This is a good hotel in Trat. Located in the heart of the city, near a market (2-3 km. away) and easy for traveling. For those who want to go to the pier, there has a mini-bus station at the market. However, if you are a backpacker and has no car, there also has a lot of hostel which closer and easier to go to the bus station. All in all, for me this is still a good hotel and if I have a chance to go to Trat, i will select this hotel again.

the place is pretty new, with nice, fresh rooms. we stayed here to stage our return from koh mak to bkk, as we did not trust that we could return from the island to bkk in one day, given it was off-season. this place is isolated from the next wide-spot-in-the-road, so pick up anything you need in trat center before staying here. other than the typically poor wifi, this place is fine. don't expect much for breakfast. again, the only reason we stopped here was to be relatively near tdx airport, there's nothing near here otherwise, at least that we noticed.

We stayed here for 2 days in the 6th room which there was an independent room and an individual car park. It was great for us and ones who love to be in the private area. In the room, there are enough facilities, fridge, T.V. , a set of table for working. The toilet is spacious divided into 3 area, sink, shower and lavatory. There would be better if you could provide a hair dryer. I would suggest staying here if you have a chance visiting Trat.

A nice clean new hotel not far from the centre of everything. Good clean spacious rooms. We​ stayed here both on the way to Koh Kood and on the way back. No elevators so you will have to climb some narrow stairs to get to the rooms so don't bring large suitcases​. Another aspect which has nothing to do with the hotel but would have been good to know is that a private bus company operates out of the Trat airport, there is no taxi rank. Cost of airport transfer was ridiculous at 1,000 baht per adult. We actually hired our own taxi for 4 hours for 800 baht while in Trat. When we flew out we organised a local taxi to pick us up from the hotel and drop us off at the airport for about 500 baht. The hotel did offer us a private transfer for about 800 baht. It is worthwhile organising you own transfers if you can.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is stunning, large and tastefully decorated. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable (had a great nights sleep on that bed!). But what stood out to us the most was the excellent customer service that exceeded our expectations. We stayed the night before Soncran festival and needed to get to Koh Kood the next day without booking in advance- all boats were fully booked for the next two days. Ken was so helpful and tried everything he could to book us a boat on such short notice. A few hours later he let us know that he had managed to find a way to get us there and even personally drove us where we could get a tuk tuk. We were blown away by such excellent customer service and genuine helpfulness of staff. Complimentary toast and coffee in the morning was a lovely touch. And for great Pad Thai for dinner, head across the road. We would definitely recommend this place and it would be our first choice if ever staying in Trat again!

The stay at the Trat Hotel 101 was very pleasant and uncomplicated. You can see that the owner Kajit really thought about developing a good concept. The rooms are simple but tastefully furnished. Everything is very modern, good air conditioning and new bathroom. The internet was a bit slow, but that was okay. Small details like the extra large towels, two pillows per person, rain shower etc. made a positive effect here. Kajit also takes very good care of his guests, he is easily reachable and can help you with any question or organizing travel.

Bungalows were new and very nice inside. Nice large swimming pool. There is restaurant service, but you have to walk up to it about 150 meters, although they will then deliver your order to your bungalow. In the evening, you're probably best to drive and find a restaurant or street food. The Resort is only a couple of kilometers past the turn to the Koh Chang ferries and only 15km from the Nature Pier Ferry. Included breakfast was not very good. I'd stay there again.

This hotel/hostel is perfect if you want to enjoy some chill out time away from the madness in most of Thailand, beautiful location, rural, quiet and chilled, rooms are clean and spacious, comfortable, air con hot showers, the staff are lovely and couldn’t do enough for you, Bew the manageress was an absolute star thank you for my time here and I will be back to see you all again

I was driving from Bangkok, trying to get to Koh Chang. But I knew I would not make the ferry (I had to leave after work). So I booked this hotel quickly while on the road for a place to sleep for the night, 5 people and catch the ferry early in the morning. It was right off the highway. But about 40 minutes from the pier. But the room was spotless and had 3 huge beds, enough for all of us. We didn't try any food or any services. I rolled in, we unloaded our stuff, showered and went to bed. That's it. It may be a great place to stay, but all I can say is it was convenient, easy to find and a fine place for one night!

Our stay at the Ban Sulada Guest House was great. We arrived too late for the ferry to Ko Chang and stayed the night in Trat to catch the early ferry. The owner was very friendly and provided a lot of great information. The place was very well designed. I highly recommend this place and plan to tell all friends headed that direction about this guest house.

For some reason, we were expecting a beach resort. This is NOT a beach resort. But it IS a lovely collection of 12 small cottages nestled in a tropical garden around a pool in a fishing village. The approach to the resort is unique. Khun Prasit (the extremely attentive, pleasant, and helpful manager) will meet you in the resort parking lot, which is about 300 meters from the hotel. He will load your bags into the cart, and push it along the walkways of the fishing village en route to your cottage. It is an incredibly picturesque and friendly village, full of stupendous photo ops, and great people. Just as you're wondering where in the world you might be staying, you will walk through a gate into a little tropical paradise. It is the most suprising transition imaginable. Khun Prasit is the perfect host. His English is very good, the rooms are immaculate (we had a small ant problem with our first room, and he immediately moved us to another cottage), each decorated in a different way. The food is fantastic... no menu, per se. Just ask for what you want (seafood highly recommended, of course), and you will be presented with a tailor-made meal that is very reasonable and absolutely delicious. While I would not recommend it as a destination, unless you're already in the Trat area, it is a delightful place to spend a night or two if you're en route to Cambodia, or do find yourself in Trat (en route to the Islands, most likely), and wish to explore a local fishing village.

The owners were very, very friendly,helpful and nice and the place was very clean. Small hotel but facilities ok with small private bathroom, tv, bed comfortable, coffee and hot water for your own drinks at a cheap price, free cold water and a free banana in the morning. I mainly care about cheap hotels being clean so was happy. There seems to be a small foreigner area for people waiting to go to the islands and it was right in the centre of that area-not much to do in Trat. Lent me a free bicycle and booked my ticket for the ferry. Ate at the restaurant across the road- nice but tourist prices. Would go back-mainly because he was such a friendly fellow.

This resort is located next to the pier in Trat. We checked in and chilled out. The resort upgraded us to a little wooden cabin and prepared us for our island trip. The owners were very friendly. After the check in we unpacked, chilled by the pool, had some food and drank some coffee. That evening we played snooker. Yes, they had a full size snooker table!  We slept amazing here, the cabin had all the modern day appliances such as a TV, air conditioning and lots of windows. we casually woke up to the sound of birds, had breakfast and then walked to the boat. Super practical.

Very nice host. Room/bath was perfectly clean. Aircon worked very well. Free bicycle to get around. Highly recommend

If one likes a peaceful,quiet little Resort in a natural surrounding with fine white sandy beaches and a clean sea this place is a perfect retreat for relaxe. The lovely little Cottages served perfect for a Couple. We stayed 3 nights/4 days and the young owner,which speaks English,was helpful to set up for our barbecue dinner. Breakfast was simple but enough when we were alone but improved as soon as more Guests arrieved Beach facilities like Deckchairs should be improved. For our next visit we hope the natural beauty of this place is not destroyed by some "improvements" as it will spoil the uniqueness of this place. Dietmar

This was a great place to escape from city life and enjoy the tranquility of rural Thailand. Trat is 15 minutes away if you want to drive for the lively night market. Staff were great and super friendly. Staying in a traditional Thai house was a lovely experience Thank you

I was only in Trat for the night, on my way to Koh Kood - couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! The guesthouse is beautiful, and the woman who runs it is so welcoming and friendly! The room itself was very bare bones, but for the price I have no complaints!

We really enjoyed our 2 day stay at Chuttong Resort. The family from Great Grand Father to Great Grand some were all a pleasure to stay with. They graciously picked us up at the airport and then again took us to the ferry pier. We upgraded to the room closest to the sea for the first night. It has a great view of Koh Chang and the sunset. If we have a reason to stay on the mainland again before we head to Koh Chang this will definitely be where we stay.
