"We enjoyed the hotel very much after we got settled in. Getting to it and the small street leading to it made you wonder what you had gotten yourself into. But the staff was very very helpful and most of them spoke good English. The manager went out of her way to try to make everything good for you. The only problems were the small rooms and the out of the way of getting to the hotel."

"Winebox Valparaiso is a wonderful place to stay. Up on the hills overlooking Valparaiso, it is by far the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. We had a wine tasting with Grant the owner and 11 other people up on the rooftop terrace. The wine was great and the company was fantastic. The rooms are well designed and very unique. The graffiti on the walls matched the decor of the city very well. Overall I would highly recommend staying at this fantastic hotel."

Not only did the hotel provide excellent service and facilities, but gorgeous sweeping views of Valparaiso and an incredibly sophisticated atmosphere with understated beauty. Special bonuses of a wonderful hotel restaurant (rated as one of Valparaiso’s best), romantic live music (a guitarist and saxophonist) during dinner, a lovely pool, and the ability to borrow some classic movies from reception for free to watch in your room if you needed some rest like we did.
