Traveling to Curacao? Find Willemstad hotels

I know the island very well and choose this hotel for its excellent location. Not only is it literally on top of a peninsula on the Caribbean Sea, but also within walking distance of Lions Dive hotel, Open Encounters dive academy, Seaquarium with dolphin course, and over 25 restaurants on the beach at Mambo beach Great to relax and great for kids.

Outstanding staff service. Nice pool area to see sunsets, exclusive big rooms with big balcony. There are a lot of dutch teenagers staying, pool area gets only crowded early evening, othweise it's a very peacful styilish place. Totally recommend to chose this location! There is a dive shop next door which I can fully recommend as well!

Very nice hostel. Reception can be improved I think... good location. I finds the payment system at the reception a bit strange. Almost every time you need to pay for something, they do not have change, saying that the manger is not here at the moment and tomorrow change will be given. And if you forget to take change, not one is offering it to you (happened to me) you need to remember ! Do not know why is this practice, all I can think about is that there is probably a trust issue between the manger and the employees... ? Other then that, the place is nice and clean. Lovely place.

Very nice and pleasant environment. Very lush and beautiful garden inviting ti sit enjoy either stroll within. Very friendly and guest friendly staff. Tops.

We chose Dolphin Suites for the location. Our family was enrolled in a PADI certification course over 3 days. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the dive center, beach and restaurants. Our suite was spacious and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The price was also very good. The only negatives, there isn’t much of a view from the rooms, there is some construction at the property and there is no restaurant at the hotel. None of this was a problem for us but all are worth mentioning.

Great Place to stay. The diving was exelent and the beach was postcard perfict. The golf looked fun but I didn't play. the only down side was I thought the food was pricy for what you got.

the hotel's best feature is location. it is in the middle of the downtown area. the hotel is a 5min walk from the bus station. you may take a 40min bus ride (vs. 25min taxi) and just pay $1 vs. $30. all the shops restaurants and everything is so walking distance. if you are interested in beaches, this is not the right hotel. however, you can take the bus to sea breeze club only 10min away to an ok beach. the hotel is very basic, but clean. the walls are not thivk so you can hear what the people in other rooms are doing. the breakfast is ok. there is no need to exchange money if you have us dollars. us dollars are widely accepted here. overall, if you plan to get to curacao city, this is the right place to go. you can do day trip visit to beaches on public buses for cheap.

hotel recently bought and renovations have begun, but we did not see any in the room. they are clean and adequate for the money. a beautiful pool with a view of the ocean, and they shuttled us to the beach for a small fee. The location is within walking distance of outdoor restuarants, and many of them, which is what we like, so as we have many options, as compared to resorts, where u have to eat all your meals there

The Sunny Curacao lodges are within the Blue Bay Resort premises. This means that Sunny Curacao is safe (as the entrance is guarded) and guests are to use the resort's facilities (such as the golf course, tennis courts gym, dive school, pool and private beach. Some of them require additional payment). The tennis courts and the gym is just ahead of the lodge. The beach and pool are approx. a 15 min walk. The lodge is well equipped with a kitchen, a fridge with a large freezer, a good working air-conditioning, fans (in the lodge and outside on the terrace: nice!), satellite TV, a nice large shower, double sinks and a large rack for your towels and clothes to dry. The terrace has to chairs and a table. A lot of nice wildlife can be seen: hummingbirds, other tropical birds and lizards. The birds in general are not shy, with gave me a lot of pleasure during my stay. With regard to the kitchen, it is good to bring some detergent to do the dishes and a sponge. Other than that, most is already provided for! My room was not spotless clean when I arrived. I contacted the owner (she is so friendly!) and she immediately had someone took care of it. It was just perfect! I really got good service and the lodge is a good value for money deal. I would definitely go back there!

We have a great days in the Ritz Village. The staff is friendly and always helpful, the rooms are always clean and cozy, there is also a kitchen area with all facilities where we were able to prepare several meals, there is a living area with table and sofa. On the balcony there is a table with chairs where you can relax in the evening and enjoy the cool. Wi-Fi is free and at high speed. It is possible to rent a car to the car at fair prices. Beautiful experience, we were just fine !!!

I wanted a place to stay that was close to Lions Dive Resort to save money by not having to staying there. Sea Horizon was perfect! It was super close and had all the amenities that come with an apartment. Gina was super helpful and made the stay there very easy while providing excellent advice on things to see and do on the island.

Great location at an affordable price for an apartment with two double beds and a spare folding bed if needed.

Pros : Great price , affordable food options Cons : Its in the same compound as the airport so you are basically close to nothing (but there is an ALAMO car rental across the road .....you will need it)

The hotel was very nice, it had great suties with all modern T.V.s kitchens, really comfortable to stay there (Great job!), the things what let it down alot was the system for the cleaners. The cleaners only made the beds, changed the towels and emptied the bins. Every day we returned the suite was as it was left (with the exception of the beds, towels and bins), if we had left glasses or dishes on the side they were not put in to the dish washer, the floor was not mopped every day ect. We are rather tidy people so the suite never became "dirty" but i would of thought the cleaners should have completed those basic tasks. I even mentioned it to the front desk (I never complained, it was not that big a thing) but the next day the same service, when I asked the cleaner if those items were ment to be completed she said no, its down to the guests as the hotel does not allow enough time per room. The hotel was expensive. Overall i enjoyed my time here, the people on the front desk were very nice and helpful and its a lovely hotel. If you allow you cleaners more time to complete the tasks and lower your prices for the drinks and food i will return! ;-)

Actually, the owner is really nice and helpful with whatever you need - also the room ans bathroom is clean and spacious and very new however, it really needs some more atmosphere. However, the big problem is the location which is far away from centre and that it is more a room in a private house than a guesthouse. So, you won't meet any other travellers.....

You definitely need to have a car to take advantage of this lovely apartment. It is not a hotel, but there is a reception and other apartments in the unit. The security is great, you have an alarm, a small safe, and keys to lock the bedroom door. There is a kitchen with a fridge (with water dispenser) and tv, free wifi, and AC. My friend and I had a great stay for a night. Please remember this isn't a hotel, but it's a great way to see a different side of Curaçao! I highly recommend it to the traveling community that use Airbnb! My last note before I conclude, the owners are lovely people and truly make you feel at home.

We LOVED Curacao! What a beautiful island and the main town of Willemstead was very close by which we loved exploring! The beach at Sunscape Curacao is so nice, and snorkeling right off the beach spotting all kinds of fish and marine life was a highlight of our trip! Unfortunately the resort itself would be a 2 or 3 star at best. The wait-times for meals was absolutely insane. You can't make dinner reservations so you either have to wait in a huge line when it first opens, or plan on waiting at least an hour or 2 on the waitlist for a table. The breakfast buffet was the most ridiculous... half or or more lineups just to enter the buffet! The staff just walk around pretending to be busy but not actually doing anything - it's nearly impossible to even get water or coffee. We would absolutely return to Curacao, but not to Sunscape.

High value for money. Michael as the host and partner of the b&b is terrific! I would strongly recommend the place
