Traveling to Japan? Find Yokohama hotels

The hotel is in a prime location to get around the shopping arcade in the Queen's tower and the vicinity. Great stay for who comes to conferences at Pan Pacifico Yokohama. Hotel is decorated in classic style and under some renovation to upgrade to new technology. The room has fantastic view to either the bay area with Ferris wheel or the city with Mr. Fuji in the background. It's a must try for visitors coming to Yokohama.

Edit Yokohama hotel was my best stay in Japan. The location is very convenient. It is walking distance to JR, subway blue line, Minato Mirai 21 area, and China town. It takes about 40 minutes to Tokyo station. The hotel is modernly designed. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and bigger than those in Tokyo hotels. Breakfast buffet provides healthy and tasty food. I’m super satisfied with my stay here!

Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel is a great place to stay if you prefer being near the Train station than being near downtown Yokohama. We were able to get a double bed room for a very good price. The room was clean and bathroom as expected for a 3 star+ hotel. I have been to japan 4 times and this hotel is one I would stay at again. My wife and I visited Yokohama for 2 days and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I was glad I stayed here vs staying near downtown or the more common Yokohama sites. It's near the Ramen musem. Easy to get to the Kirin Beer factory from the train/subway station (which is far from downtown Yokohama). You can easily do yokohama in 1 full day (Chinatown, Waterfront, Downtown, Ferriswheel, etc.) so it was great to stay in a hotel next to shin-yokohama station so that we could move on to our next destination early in the morning especially when you are travelling during business commute hours which is a pain. The yokohama subway/train times are not as often as tokyo's so I was glad not to have to wait so much for connecting subway/trains. Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel has a mall/shopping center in the same building and many food places that are well priced and decent within walking distance. Besides that there isn't much to do in the hotel's area but that is all you really need in my opinion. The pool was not available and we skipped the restaurants in the hotel.

I changed to this hotel after originally booking the Sunroute nearby. The Sunroute was dirty and unpleasant, but the Daiwa room was perfect. It was big, clean, they had many international staff, and they helped me with many things during my trip. I will definitely go there again. I have stayed in many Japan hotels, and this one was very good value.

This is the second time we've stayed here and where we will stay in the future. Let's start at the beginning. The staff is excellent. They speak excellent english and are very helpful. There is a convenience store in the lobby which comes in very handy. The rooms are small, but normal by Japan standards. The bed is comfortable. The heating/AC works well. The view of the bay is fantastic. The best part of the hotel is it is located directly next to Sakuragicho subway station. This allows easy access to all of Yokohama and Tokyo. It is also a very short walk to the Minato Mirai subway line. This is the line running along the waterfront, making for easy access to the main tourist attractions. For this area of Yokohama the price for a room can't be beat. Most places are at least double the cost and anything comparable is a long walk from anything to do in Yokohama. It's an easy decision.

Probably the best hotel in Yokohama area. Must stay at the park side to enjoy the beautiful view. Good for family holiday and/or for business trip. Should stay longer there, instead of Ikebukuro

Various prices online for this hotel, but Agoda.com had an outstanding deal. Conveniently located hotel in the Yokohama area; short walking distance to Keikyu and JR Tsurumi stations for easy access to Tokyo, Yokohama and Haneda. Single room was cramped but adequately comfortable. Bathroom is a modified western style. Very clean. If you don't smoke, be sure you book a room on a non-smoking floor. The stale air will bowl you over as you step out of the elevator on a smoking floor. Discount meal tickets (500 yen) for the breakfast buffet. Worth it for the coffee alone. The buffet is an eclectic mix of Japanese and whatever -- a bit of something for everyone, wherever you come from. Also, plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in the area for dining outside the hotel. Friendly, helpful staff.

the place is great. It's surrounded by a park, convenience stores, groceries and also very close to some tourist sports in Yokohama. Although the train station is quite a walk but still reasonable. Highly recommended. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. Will stay there again on my next visit.

Stayed there for a total of 5 nights and was easily the best western-styled hotel I had stayed thus far in Japan. Double-room was extremely spacious with a huge window facing Yokohama bay area from my room on the 17th floor (highest floor being the reception area which is on the 20th). Bathroom was separated from the toilet and the bathroom alone was extremely big. Complimentary coffee is available 24/7 from the reception area on the 20th floor. Only downside lies in the hotel being a little far from Yokohama JR station (about 12mins walk), with the Miratomirai Subway's Shintakahashi station being the closest (about 7-8min walk). Walk is all on flat ground or via bridges with escalators and lifts). The walk from either station back to the hotel isn't sheltered and you can get drained easily under the sweltering summer heat, especially after a long day of travelling. If you're going in Spring, Autumn or Winter where temperatures are cooler, the walk wouldn't post any issues at all.

we stayed at kawasaki nikko hotel for the first time. it was a very nice hotel. the service was good, and the room was nicely appointed. a bit small, but relatively generous for a hotel in this price range for japan. the kawasaki jr station area is wonderful. the atre and lazona shopping complexes at the stations are unbelievable. transit to both tokyo and yokohama areas was very easy. only down side is that the narita airport limousine bus does not go to kawasaki. the best way is to either take the jr narita express train to shinagawa then take a local train to kawasaki (just one stop), or to take the airport limousine bus to yokohama city air terminal then take a jr train to kawasaki. both of these area perfectly doable, however.

By Japanese standards the rooms are quite large, and furnished in an almost Scandinavian style. Everything is spotless. There was a good workdesk area and a comfortable chair with a side table, and a nice view towards downtown Yokohama. The location at the train station is great, as the hotel lobby is on the 10th floor (hotel rooms above that) and floors 2-9 mostly consist of shopping, including a large grocery area on the 2nd floor, along with some restaurants. Very handy. I purchased the hotel buffet breakfast, and found it to be very good. The subway ride into downtown Yokohama took about 20 minutes. I found the subway very easy to use. Overall I found it a great option, although some people might want to stay right in downtown Yokohama - but if you do that you will likely pay quite a bit more for an equivalent room, or else if you want to pay the same price you will have to settle for something that is not nearly as nice. I would certainly stay here again.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama-Kannai provided what i needed: 1.) a clean place to rest and sleep after a long day; 2.) a clean and complete toilet and bath facility; 3.) a hearty breakfast to start my day; 4.) so easy to get a ride, very accessible - near a train station, easy to get a taxi; 5.) walking-distance to local shopping areas and eateries; 6.) secured- no worries about my valuables; 7.) very accommodating and friendly staff who speaks English; 8.) excellent internet/wifi connection; 9.) better hotel promo rates. Just exactly what I needed for a seven-day stay in Yokohama.

I booked this trip 2 days before my last minute leisure travel. it's surprisingly good place. I will consider this as one of my future Tokyo area hotel/hostel stay in future. I stay in "space" type of room, with aircon and private area, bath room is shared, but it's extremely clean. 20 min to Tokyo station, and less than 20 min to Yokohama. 20min to Tokyo station is considered very suitable range. Hostel/hotel is not very far to Kawasaki station, with google map, it's quite okay to locate it. I am recommending to travels. and it's more worth than APA or other business hotel for 1 or 2 person kind of room.

I usually stay in Yokohama hotels when I go to Tokyo. With the same price, hotel rooms and services in Yokohama are much better than in Tokyo. This time, I tried Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel. Its location is wonderful. Just 2 minutes’ walk from Yokohama station – connected via footbridge and subway. Sogo and other shopping malls nearby. The room is large enough – ample space for me to open my baggage freely – and with open outside views. Furniture and accessories are in great condition. Staff are very very polite. When the cleaners saw me walking in corridors, they stopped their tidying work and greeted me politely. Of course, they cleaned the room very tidy. Whilst Tokyo is now too crowded, I highly recommend this hotel which is just 30 minutes’ train time to Tokyo.

only a minute's walk to the jr station and located in the middle of the minato mirai 21 area, the new otani inn yokohama hotel is perfect for those who want to experience downtown yokohama. it is also minutes from the park, china town, and the all of the harbor attractions. the room, at least those with the harbor view, are incredible. the view in it of itself is amazing and but is made even better by the ridiculously large window!

I love that the hotel is just a short walk from the Yokohama station and that the staff at the front desk were so friendly and very fluent in English. I had a parcel of CDs and event ticket sent there before I arrived and they kept it safe for me. The lady who checked me in even volunteered to bring the parcel to my room when she saw I did not have a free hand to carry it. The room is standard size for Japanese hotels (which means quite small compared to other hotels in Asia) but it’s very clean and well equipped. Would love to stay here again next time I need to attend an event in the Yokohama area.

A very good hotel in Yokohama. Easy access from the station. Just 5 minutes walk. Superb location. Many good restaurants nearby for meals. Room size is good and very clean. Bathrooms are clean and the shower pressure is fantastic. Breakfast is basic but good enough for a simple breakfast. A very convenient hotel for business and vacation travellers. Room is quite big for Japan standard. All-in, an excellent hotel to stay.

I prefer this hotel in Yokohama because the staff is always so good (like most of Japan), the breakfast is good, and it's location is very convenient - Exhibition Center,subway, lively neighborhood

I stayed just 1 night and didn't find anything lacking. It is a 3-star hotel with little frills, a clean and comfortable room,and it is not hard to find from the Yokohama station. I am impressed by how hard the receptionists tried their best to make us feel welcomed. I stayed in a 5-star hotel prior to this stay, and well, just didn't get the same treatment. So I am happy to return anytime!

The hotel is very close to Nihon-Odori Station, which you can access easily from Yokohama Station through Minatomiari Line. The hotel is easily found, even for first-time guest like me. I like the hotel so much. The hotel building looked nice and elegant. It was quite, clean, and comfortable. Check-in was easy, the staffs were nice. For the room, I booked twin moderate room. It was quite big for Japan-size hotel in common. The facilities in the room were well provided; they even provided face soap. There was only one thing I regretted; I asked for more coffee because I like to drink coffee, but they said they could not give more. I had experience staying in other business hotel, they were willing to give more, and even repeated it everyday since then. However, it was not a big problem. My overall experience staying in JAL City Yokohama hotel was great, and I will certainly stay in this hotel again when I go to Yokohama :)

Our stay at the Daiwa Roynet was great, even before we checked in. The hotel was happy to hold our luggage for a day before officially checking in which allowed us to travel and sightsee. I would consider the hotel as 3.5 to 4 star. Great clean accom with helpful staff. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to a better room, bonus! Wifi was good and so were the amenities. Located behind the Yokohama Stadium with Lawsons next door. We have found our new hotel of choice in Yokohama!

No doubt in terms of location, this is the best. Fast check in. Complete amenities, clean, spacious, comfy bed-there’s really nothing to complaint about this hotel. We’ll come back to stay here again if we’re in Yokohama. So many shops nearby

This hotel faces a beautiful seaside park with a big rise garden, which was really a big surprise to me and my friends. Kids can feed pigeons and seagulls anytime in the park. The metro station is only 4-min walk from the gate and there is a supermarket just behind the building. China town in close to it too. You may take a walk in the evening to enjoy the view of Yokohama Bay! Room is pretty big, compared to other hotels in Japan. Yokohama is a place where you definitely want to travel to once again! Staff are very helpful too! They answer questions with great patience. Love it! Highly recommend to you!

The rooms are tiny by Western standards but exceptionally clean. Very compact bathroom with Shiseido brand toiletries provided. Generous continental breakfast consisting of croissants, pastries, juice and coffee and tea... and soup. The hotel is within walking distance to major station and shopping areas, and lots of little cafes, convenience stores and games arcades. Staff were welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this place.

the staff tried their best with english and friendly, also helpful when i asked directions to some places. location is accessible, near shin yokohama station and some good sightseeing such as shin yokohama ramen museum and yokohama arena. there's also various restaurants, cafe and convenience stores around. my room was clean and comfortable, but no wi-fi in room and i don't have laptop with me and gotta go to the lobby to access internet. the price was pretty cheap, affordable. it was a nice stay here.

It's the best hotel you can find if you travel with a child in Yokohama and south Tokyo. Unlike other hotels those only have 1 double bed in Tokyo and Yokohama, Richmond Hotel have rooms with 3 beds for parents and the child. Finally I can have a good sleep!

As someone skeptical of reviews, I booked the Rose Hotel for 4 nights as part of a travelling package of Yokohama and Tokyo. when we arrived we saw we were opposite Chinatown...a great cultural experience. The staff couldn't be friendlier, attending to our every need. it's probably the best hotel in Yokohama!

It was my first time in Japan, and I am very glad I chose the Hotel Wing International for my stay. It was a very convenient location next to the Kannai terminal, allowing for easy access to Yokohama station. Chinatown and Yamashita park are great sight seeing places nearby, and the weather happened to be gorgeous during my stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating to my every question, and quickly switched to English when they realized I couldn't speak Japanese. The room is small, but it's perfectly fine for a solo traveller - the bathroom is probably the coolest I've seen. I would definitely stay there again when I come back to Japan.

I spent one night here to avoid staying in central Tokyo after traveling from the Southern Japan using the Shinkansen trains on my way to Narita for a flight home. The hotel was very reasonably priced and the location and staff were great. The hotel was 1.5 blocks from Shinyokohama and the subway to Yokohama station for the Narita Express train was across the street. The Ramen Museum and many restaurants were very close by and there were multiple choices for breakfast, all very reasonably priced. The room was small, but used the space very efficiently.

I enjoyed my one night stay at APA Hotel in Yokohama Kannai. The rooms were tiny, but the majority of affordable hotels in Japan are that way. The beds were super comfortable. The hotel and rooms were very clean. I would stay here again.
