Nice city but one night stay is enough to see the city as there's lots to see in other parts of Switzerland
Its a nice and clean city.Good for shopping of branded goods, but price is comparatively higher comparing to other parts of Europe .
In overall, the first thought during my first visit to Zurich is it's peaceful. The transportation network is well connected and convenient.
Besides the old street and building, it's wonderful to travel to nearby tourist spot if we would consider to stay in Zurich.
Zurich is an expensive place. Not much shopping to be done mostly are expensive and shop closed early - 6/7pm.
Left the train station shops open till 9pm.A place to unwind and relaxation going to the places of interest near Zurich.
Great city for sight seeing, hiking, shopping. Other cities to see are Lucerne, interlaken, and the great jungfroujoch
Safe and pleasant short stay in Zurich. Romantic spot for honeymooners, but most likely autumn/ winter will be the most pleasant seasons to visit.
It's a big city, nothing much compared to others. I'll suggest just 1 or 2 night stays will be enough!
Most of Zürich's sites are located within the area on either side of the Limmat river, between the Main railway station and Lake Zürich.
The churches and houses of the old town are clustered here, as are the most expensive shops along the famous Bahnhofstrasse.
We stayed in Zurich on route to Salzburg for 4days. This was much too long shopping is very expensive in fact we found everything expensive The old town is pretty and easy to walk around.
If you want to go outside Zurich to walk or ski then It is a good base We wouldn't go again for our holiday and feel it is more a business place There were 4 of us and who were all of the same opinion we should have gone straight to Salzburg
A tidy and beautiful city. One of the most expensive cities in the world, be prepare for that. Did not get in touch with locals, don't know how are they like.
Zurich is a very expensive city, as far as food, accommodation and shopping are concerned. Unless you have a very good reason to be in Zurich, there are many other cities with more places for sightseeing in Switzerland.
Nevertheless, Zurich is a very safe city to be in and roaming late into the night.
It is a beautiful city. But the city limit is small. Almost 90% of the shops are expensive branded ones.
The cost of living in this city is very high ranging from food, travel to Lodging. Outside Zurich is so beautiful.but there are places like Lake, China garden,Botanical gardens which are very impressive.
Don't forget to use the free bikes around the city. Another absolute must are the walks around the Utliberg.
The Landesmuseum is also extremely interesting.
Nice friendly city with great scenery and shops around. You may find alot of sports equipments are sold here.
Food is good,building is nice.
Although small, Zurich has a lot to offer. And as Switzerland is small and public transport very efficient you can use the city as a base to discover a large part of the country.
I did not get to travel in the city much. As I only stay for a night before I catch a flight home the next morning.
Prices are very high especially for food. The cheapest being stuff around kebab joints - which still starts at Eur11.
Chinese food is a rip off!
You will find everything in Zurich, best restaurants, shops, discoteques and a beautiful boardwald by the lake.
Great week-end break. Fantastic zoo for families with children
In general, Zurich is a big city, there are many restaurants, shopping centres and the lake view is spectacular.
Beautiful city which is cosmopiltian.
Zurich greatly exceeded my expectations. There is a huge amount of cultural activities - museums, galleries, performing arts.
The restaurant scene is very good - every cuisine imaginable, and I found some interesting "modern" twists on traditional Swiss cuisine. One restaurant that I would highly recommend is "Alpenrose", but be sure to make reservations. Also, if you're interested in the contemporary art scene, definitely check out the "Zuri-West" area - this is an industrial neighborhood that is being redefined as an arts/entertainment center. Many of the old industrial buildings are being converted to new uses. But the best part of my visit was just wandering around the city, particularly in the Old Town and Neiderdorf, and enjoying the charm.
We loved the clean streets we enjoyed your public transport, however we could not believe the kindness which was shown when we asked for help and even when we didn't ask we were assisted.
We were not pushed and shoved as we were in Italy and the food will always remain a fantastic memory to both my wife and I. I can see now why the Swiss nation is known for its quality, which to us was present. We loved the short stay. The only problem we had was costs were high especially taxis.
Nice city for 5 days maximum and more city is quit good and middle of swisserland near the international airport
Prices are high as expected, but the historical buildings and city atmosphere were beautiful. It is a walkable city and relatively relaxed.
At night, COOP in front of the Zurich main station was the only shop that we were able to find to buy water and drinks.
Great city to visit. Not very busy. The public transportation are trams and buses, no subways. if you have Swiss pass, you can take tram and bus for free (within the date that indicate in Swiss pass).
i did the train tour up the mountain. It had beautiful and stunning views. Zurich is a beautiful city with amazing tours inside the city, and up the mountains.
Nightlife is good too.
Awesome city with lots to see and do. Residents are not always friendly especially if you try to speak to them in German.
Some were downright rude, especially people you buy bus or train tickets from, they are scary mean.
It a beautiful city and it's quite relaxing and easy to go around the city. The Zurich lake is beautiful and easy accessible by tram.
One of the lovely city with world class shopping street like Paris but good transportation by Tram. A lots of museum and close to very beautiful Lake of Zurich
Swiss are very friendly... The weather is good and people are helpful... I will definitely come back again
Beautiful city with a great transport system but a pity that all shops (except for those in the train station & airport) are closed on Sundays.
Nonetheless, take a stroll to lake of Zurich from Zurich HB station
