The Louvre staff met our every need. The air cond itioning allowed good sleep. We unwound from travel in the pool to stretch our limbs, super relaxing at the end of the day. The doorman provided great assistance with the hawkers of goods outside the door; the front desk desk and our cab driver — whom we met at the airport upon arrival and telephoned subsequently for rides— directed us to vendors of crafts by the vendor....And a bonus: artwork for sale in the lobby—quality gifts to bring home to those unable to join us for this Madagascar adventure!

The staff were very good. The cabins were top notch, food very good and they have a dive center. The hotel is now under the management of Constance hotel group and has lost some of its personality and identity since last we were there. We were the first Americans to ever visit Tsara when it was first opened. We had our names engraved into the bar this last trip being that we are now the first Americans to visit Tsara three times. If you visit three times you get your names engraves into brass plates that are then engraved into the bar. If you ignore the high price of staying there and the corporation style you will find this place magical. I recommend this place for people who want to get away from the crowds and stay in a dream location. It is the best place in all of Madagascar to be.

In our opinion, they should have more variety of items on the munu as no other restaurant nearby for the guests to try out variety of cuisines.

This is a fabulous place. The manager and staff went well above and beyond to help me. They helped me locate my luggage that Air France has lost. Lovely room. Great friendly staff. Clean and a good start to Madagascar. X

I couldn’t have been happier with my stay here. It’s an old traditional building but the rooms have been tastefully decorated, the beds are very comfortable and despite being very close to the action in the city the rooms are quiet. The best food I tasted was in their restaurant and all the staff, particularly the manager could not have been more helpful.

I spent a week and a half here and it was very relaxing. If I wanted to do something - rent a scooter, go diving, trip to the national park - the owner was very helpful in arranging these. If I wanted to just take it easy, I could relax by the pool or take the short walk to the beach.

The staff, view, prices were all great but I also learned that I'm not one for living in a hut with no wifi in rooms and no tv. It's too quiet and au naturel for me. The isolation creeped me out. The ocean at high tide made blasting wave noises against the wall by my hut and kept me up. Some ppl like this but think if you are one of those people...The set dinner is overpriced but there's no options while here unless you take a car a bit away as they don't even have a la carte. They should allow a la carte dinners. 2 out of 3 meals were excellent. The fish and crab were truly memorable. One dinner without the head chef was not worth more than 5 euro, not the more than 20 euro set price with no other dining option!! All The staff are very attentive from restaurant to front desk. Security is good and 24 hours. 2 men came up to my hut from the beach the first day soliciting tours. That concerned me so I think the hotel should staff the beach entrance with security too to prevent strangers from approaching.

I love the garden here, a fantastic array of flowering plants and shrubs. Breakfast overlooking the sea. Very good WiFi. And super friendly helpful staff especially Nina on reception. Despite being very quiet it’s only a 5 minute walk to the Main Street.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and exceeded the standards I came to expect in Madagascar. The staff was relatively friendly and helpful, and they let me store luggage between two different stays at the hotel. The food was decent although much of the menu was prepared off-site. The location was good near the government buildings on a hill above the fray of Tana.

I arrived at around 2:45PM and departed at around 5:00AM the following morning. Just wanted somewhere to sleep near the airport. I found the place easily, check in was simple, the room was basic but the bed comfortable enough. No complaints really. Some things to note: The alley way to access the hotel is quite small and I'm not sure I would feel comfortable accessing the place alone at night. I didn't need any food during my stay so can't comment on what's provided by the hotel or what's in the vicinity.

I really liked this place. It is in the city with some rooms having a super view. If you are in the city to party you may want to be a bit more central but still good city location. Staff was nice and efficient. The rooms were very nicely done and quite classy. Great value for money!

Just has just a few minutes from the airport. The owner was so nice and helpful and it was so convenient for a quick turnaround from flight in and out of Tana airport

The property is a long standing hotel converted from 4 story townhouse. It is located up the hill from Lake Anosy, downhill from government/banking offices, across the busy little street is the President's palace gardens. There is a ShopRite, downhill going right for a couple block then cross street to the supermarket. The hotel room are on the top level. There is a pleasant common room and balcony. My room #27 en suite was a tight fit, but comfortable. For room without bathroom, there are adequate shared facilities. Friendly staff. A independent tourist guide was available to help arrange a 8-day trip. The 7,500 American breakfast was my favorite.

Very basic hotel, just provides a room. Staff not very friendly, but the room was clean and spacious.

Simple accomodation with all comfort, hot water, good food, locality in vicinity of Haute Ville (bus 22), friendly acception

The hotel is well located, within walking distance of some of Tana’s most exclusive hotels and restaurants, as well as the L’Avenue de Independence. The hotel is spread over two or three buildings and a wide range of room types is available. The restaurant is good. I stayed in a comfort double room, and although far from spacious, it is comfortable and quiet. In Tana terms, the room seems to be priced fairly. The staff are welcoming and friendly. My complaints are, the television was not working and it required a few requests to get it fixed and the price of a bottle of plain drinking water is 4x the store price. That said, I have stayed at the hotel several times and would recommend it.

This hotel is about 8 Kilometre from Ankorondrano Airport in Madagascar. The drive will take between 20 minutes and 1 hour along very narrow busy streets that were congested but clean. The hotel is a bit dated but the staff were very friendly and the rooms were large with a very nice big corner bath although the fittings were old. There was a big new flat screen TV in the room showing recent recordings of UK Premier league football and CNN news. In room free coffee and tea as well as efficient WIFI and a safety box in the room. The large bed had a good mosquito net around it. There were a few mosquitoes in the room but not many and the net was efficient. The dining room served quite good food from a balanced small menu. The breakfast included in the price of the room was Continental with payment required for western options. During heavy rain the electricity cut out but their back up generator lit up some areas and candle light dining was pleasant. Whilst the name is Sunny Garden the garden aspect is limited to a concrete patio around the large pool with flower beds and some trees around the property wall. On the internet the hotel was one of 3 in the town advertising an Airport Shuttle so I emailed them giving my flight details and that I wanted to use the shuttle. I was met by a private jeep and the hotel charged 60,000 AR which was about 24 GBP. I later found out there is a company operating a shuttle bus that visits various hotels and only charges 10,000 AR about 4 GBP so I used that for the return journey.

stay was very very good. we stayed here thrice in a week and had an amazing time. we used this uohel for its central location. the rest of tana isnt very safe but this area was very safe and hotel provided security. would definately recomend this hotel for anyone going to tana

There is potential to be a really good hotel. They kept running out of water, a pool that made the kids sick, had power drop outs constantly and seemed to attract more mosquitos than anywhere else on the island.... If you have young kids.... Move on If you don't ........ It's probably good value

I stayed in the hotel for seven days and this was my first time to Madagascar .This was a clean and comfortable hotel located at the heart of Tana city. The staff was friendly and helpful. It can easily assess to anywhere. However, the breakfast was pathetic and the restaurant food was also not very good. Would recommend if you just staying for a few days.

The hotel is primitive with no internet, in-room hot water, air con, and electricity for only a few hours a day, but if you are looking to get away and enjoy a beautiful jungle beach this is a great place to go. The rooms were in generally good condition, the food was good, and the staff were very helpful.

I had a beautiful time here. Very friendly staff, excellent food and a beautiful beach just in front of your villa. What more do you want ?

Facilities were in need of maintenance. Food was ok. Staff was great. Shuttle was great.
