There isn't much I could fault this hotel it was good value for money and very close to the train station where it is so easy to get around. The staff were always in the lobby to say hello and goodbye as we entered and exited the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable but some of the lights in the room weren't working. It isn't in the best location as there isn't much in the local area but there is a nice and cheap restaurant around the corner calls Cup&Cino which is open until 2am, we went there everyday. The hotel food was a little expensive and took a very long time to come after being ordered even though there was only one other person in the restaurant at the time. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay for 5 nights and I would definitely use this hotel again. The staff helped to enhance the experience of staying in Lisbon.

We arrived in Lisbon after a tiring red eye flight and delays retrieving luggage and were quite exhausted. But upon arrival at the hotel, staff were very supportive (although room wasn't available for early check-in). Still, we were able to refresh ourselves in their lobby as we took a few moments to change etc in their rather spacious rest rooms. The rooms were a tad small, but the beds were very comfortable and welcoming. They also surprised us with a small bed for our son, to which he slept soundly. And despite facing the plaza, we didn't hear the local noises. Breakfast was simple (eggs with bacon) but they had a nice quality selection of breads, meats and toppings for yogurt. The staff were very pleasant and helpful across the board. A great value considering the proximity to some of the best neighborhoods in the city.

Never visited in July before despite visiting anything up to 4 times a year but wont be doing so again. Too noisy kids end even more noisy parents (mainly English). Bar prices are still a rip-off: Why pay 3.50e for 330ml of beer in a plastic cup when you can buy Sagres/ Super Bock, San Muguel etc in the nearly mnini-market for as little as 1.20e. Fanta orange 3.00e.

We had a great stay at Clube Praia da Oura, i have visited Portugal many times and visited here to play bowls. Pedro the barman made us very welcome over the years so this time we deceided to stay at the resort. There was 15 of us in the group, we played bowls had a few drinks. The location is good to, only a ten min walk to the main strip. Hopefully we will be back again later on in the year.

One of the best hotels I stayed in. It was clean with an amazing location they also had a roof top restaurant and pool. The staff were very friendly, if you are planning to visit Lisbon please do your self a favor and book this hotel.

The hotel is situated near the subway station place Marqués de Pombal and a 30 mins walk from the town center.Its on a quiet street except for the few party makers; The hotel is beautifully decorated un soft hues of blue and green. A team of excellent friendly,helpfull staff go out of thier way to insure that each guest has a perfect stay. You can start the day with the buffet breakfast offering a huge choice of fresh and hot tasty products. Ready to sleep,the king size firm bed is the answer. I highly recommand this hotel for the quality of its staff service,the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms an the quiet area iin which it is situated.

It was more than a pleasant stay at the hotel. We had personalised messages and little gifts by the manager to welcome us at the room. The staff was not only helpful but courteous and warm. They always made us feel as if we were the VIPs. We were presented with flowers at check-in and that made our day! The room was very comfortable, immaculate and posh. Whatever amenities we need are all provided. The location was perfect for us and it is very easy to get around. The food at the restaurant in the hotel was delicious. I have nothing but great comments about the hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Porto.

I stayed here in March with 4 friends. We had a 2 bedroom apartment and everything was great. The apartment was clean well stocked with linen, toiletries and kitchen necessities. The location was also perfect especially being right across the road from the Time Out market and a stone's throw from the water. It's really easy to get around the city from here. The only negative about our apartment was a permanent smell of what smelt like blocked drains or sewage in one particular part of the apartment. I spoke to Luis about this and apparently it's a common problem because they're by the water but he provided us with lots of air fresheners to mask the odour. I would stay here again as it was great value for money.

Though the hotel is in the middle of the busy tourist area, our 4th floor rooms were very quiet with good double glazing. The rooms were spotless and modern. The bathroom was a bit compact, with a shower but no bath. The front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and spoke good English (not always the case in Portugal). The breakfasts catered for Continental and “English “ breakfasts. We would go there again.

This hotel in great location situated between the town & Marina. Also benefits from in & outdoor pool, shuttle bus to private beach, good breakfast, self service, a lovely outside balcony avail to sit on for breakfast in you prefer, sauna, gym, nightly entertainment which is in the bar area. There is a club you can join when you there at reception which gives you free water on day 1 & a free daily english newspaper each day apart from the day you leave. like all hotels prices at bar are more than local bars, but it is a very nice bar. There is also a beautiful patio restuarant, a la carte, which you pay extra for, even if you half board, we were only b&b as like to eat out at the many places in Lagos. Parts of the hotel are a little dated, but it is clean, maids in everyday, good service & great location. Everything you need inc bikes to hire & car park if you have hire car

From the moment I made the call for the shuttle bus, it was all made so easy for us. We arrived at the hotel and immediately we where offered an upgrade to the best room and best view in the house. The choice for breakfast was wonderful and great quality. We where able to leave our bags, as we looked around Lisbon for the afternoon. Besides getting the best room and view in the hotel, it was the staff, that made the hotel shine for me. From the gentleman who pick us up at the airport, the gentleman at the reception, who greeted us. To the receptionist who stored our luggage. She took extra care with some breakables I was carrying. The staff in the restaurant where welcoming, friendly and efficient, and I look forward to revisiting the Tryp Hotel in the future.

We travelled to Praia Verde for the first time with our Labrador cross and we were greeted by two of the loveliest girls we have ever met at a reception desk. Susanna and Barbara were so wonderful with him and he loved the walks down to the beach through the hotel gardens. We will definitely go back because they just made the whole experience so pleasant for us and our dog. The food in the Restaurant where there is a dedicated area for people travelling with dogs was very good, not cheap but a great standard and a lovely ambience. Again the staff were just wonderful . Breakfast was buffet style and not too many choices but perfectly adequate for most tastes. Just a really good experience.

I first booked this hotel for 2 nights only as I was not so sure about how convenient is its location. As that was my first time in Lisbon, I was thinking that staying around Chiado or Alfama would be better and more convenient to go out and explore the city, specially during the night. From what I experienced, however, I can say that it is very easy to move from AVANI Hotel to any of those areas using either taxi or public transportation (there is a Subway station just a few meters from the Hotel). For that reason I booked this same hotel for 4 more nights with no regrets! The room is quite spacious and very well decorated. bathroom is clean with all sort of amenities available. Staff is very courteous and breakfast was delicious. I would certainly consider to stay at AVANI hotel in a next visit to beautiful Lisbon.

Our son loved the indoor pool but he’s 5 so didn’t expect much. It was really hot while we visited. So it was nice to have that. The location is not in the middle of town but it is easy to get to wherever. The breakfast was awesome. I’m also very pregnant and the bed was heavenly. Staff was helpful. Honestly it was the best hotel experience for under $200 that we’ve had in a while. Highly recommend.

Vincci is a great chain in Spain and Portugal, we were quite lucky to get the reservation at a very good price online and we decided to go for it. Despite it not being located "spot on" in the center of Porto, is a great establishment, rooms are big and comfortable, wifi is very good and staff performance is great too. Nothing bad to tell about them, add a spa and a bit closer to the center and you have a 5 star review, but even if it did not make it to 5 stars for me it's still a great place to stop for holidays or work.

There are 3 good things about this hotel and a few things we didn't like. Anna at the reception was helpful with touristic information. The maids did a good job at keeping the room nice. The location is great for us who wanted it quiet but still easy to travel around. The things we didn't like were that we paid almost 3500sek for 3 nights and the breakfast was not included. It's our fault we didn't check well when booking but still shockingly expensive compared to other hotels that are as nice and would offer breakfast in this rate. Paid 15eur each for breakfast. Just quite boring and simple choices. No fried eggs. Juice from concentrate. The porter got a bit of tip from us already when we left the luggage with them as we were too early, but still implied he wanted tips when he took the bags up to our rooms so we had to give a bit more. That's not nice. The room was very simple and didn't feel too much like a 4-star. It felt just like we paid for the room and the cleaning service, nothing else impressed us that much. The floor planning was strange making us not wanting to take elevator so we walked up stairs first to avoid the complications in using the elevator. In general, would say there are many more hotels in the same location that seem better.

Great hotel, very clean and good rooms. Staff were knowledgeable about the area and it cost around 15 euro to get from the airport to the hotel which was perfect for our late night arrival. Breakfast turned out to be one of the better ones we had in Portugal.

• Check-in check-out average time less than 2 minutes • I had checked-in the morning and was instantly provided with a room with a smile but hotel porter was not available so had get my baggage myself on the hotel trolley. Reception staff apologized and said this was due to early check-in so person was not available. Bad for a four star hotel but this was the only bad point. • Stay was very comfortable, quiet and relaxed • Was impressed with the cleanliness & hygiene in the whole hotel • Artistic paintings, good decor and plenty of comfortable relaxing sofas at the lobby • Breakfast was basic variety and the same everyday. No live cooking station. • Restaurant food, presentation & service was perfect. Need more choice of items in menu. • Special thanks to Carla & Nelson at reception. It's a good hotel to stay at in terms of staff service, value for money etc. However, it just wasn't the best area to stay at if you want to access the sights of the city easily. You will probably have to change the metro lines twice to get to Rossio station.

this hotel is sophisticated and modern, in a perfect location for porto's tourist sights and is a lovely place to stay. the reception staff are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. the hotel's design is quirky and modern with a bar that wouldn't be out of place in new york or london (in terms of design - there were no noise issues - it was more a sophisticated haven than a thumping hot spot). the restaurant has a lovely menu but is a little hit and miss, with absentminded service, small portions and average food (for the price). one less than perfect design feature in our room was the toilet door - which was a sliding glass door. apart from that, i would highly recommend this hotel for any traveller.

I would go out of my way to come back to Porto just to stay here. I have been traveling for the last year straight and it is so rare to find a place with service like this. Even though I was a hostel guest they always made me feel valued and continued to offer service, assistance and inquire on how they could make my stay more enjoyable. The full service lobby, bar, and food service was warm and welcoming! Breakfast service is amazing and don’t miss out on the free tea time and 7.50 homemade community dinners!!!! I never eat dinner at the hostel but these were local dishes at a great value! And it was a fun way to connect with others. I wish more places could have staff like theirs that know what true hospitality is. Besides perfect luxury service the beds are large and comfy with daily maid service!! The bathrooms large and spacious. The location is so much better than staying in Porto because you are away from the crowds and get the BEST views of the city. Amazing.

The only real issues we had were the door that didn't always want to unlock and a non-functioning safe. Besides that 100% satisfied. A beautiful hotel with a clean design all round. Nice pool and because of the small number of rooms it never felt crowded even though we were there in the high season. Price is not low, but worth it! Option to eat dinner at the hotel is a welcome one but expect to be there for a while as the kitchen is obviously not made to serve more than 10 people at once. But hey, you're there to relax anyway! Recommended choice!

This hotel is in a great location in the Baixa. For that reason alone, I would stay here again. Having said that, there is a compromise with everything. And while our stay has been perfectly acceptable, there were a few rough edges. For example the floor of the room is vinyl, and not cleaned very well. so our feet were black as soon as we got out the shower. The wardrobe in our first room was too small to put anything in (my short would not fit on a hanger). Mirrors on al lthe walls are an aquired taste too... The staff were friendly, and helpful. At times seemed a little stretched (eg our dinner reservation got mixed up, eg often had to wait more than 5 mins to ask a question). But that's all part of the charm of portugal - the people make you realise these things don't matter, and help you relax. Overall not bad! PS, watch out for taxis at the airport. Some have fancy meters that the drivers use to overcharge tourists. make sure it is counting when you are on the go, or he might try to charge you his previous fare. Should be about €15.

3 stops on metro from airport, transport hub with train, bus, metro access to many part of portugal. Opposite shopping mall and hypermarkt. Excellent wifi. Highly recommended.

We are regulars to Lisbon, always stayed at a 5 star down the road. Pleasantly surprise with our find with HF Fenix Lisboa. The location was excellent, just up the stairs from the Marques de Pombal station. We had a day pass each day so had unlimited travels on the metro. As it was fairly central we were able to come back frequently to drop off our shopping bags. There are not many eateries in the immediate area, didn't worry us much as we metro down the road every night. Room was good size for two and meets standard of a 4 star in Portugal. We were happily greeted every morning at the breakfast lounge, good variety of food to start the day. Overall it is very good value for money and we will certainly be back.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend in the first week of September month. The hotel covers a large area right by the sea, which is slightly off from the centre of Lagos but only a 15-20 min walk away. This provides guests a lot of space where the hotel offers great facilities (the outdoor swimming pool is huge!) including free parking, and the area of the beach outside the hotel is not as busy as it's mainly used guests of the hotel. Most guests have all inclusive, so the restaurant gets somewhat crowded at breakfast and lunch hours, but we never had any issues getting a table at breakfast both inside and outside in the sun. There's a tanned, blonde lady there who works at the breakfast in the outside area. She was lovely! In general, all staff members were super friendly and helpful. The rooms are of good size, and if you're lucky you'll get a room overlooking the pool area and the sea further down the horizon. We were a bit unfortunate to get a joint room, so we could hear our neighbours watching TV. Minor but worth mentioning - no irons and iron boards in the room. I asked a lady at the reception if I could borrow one from the desk, but this was not offered as the hotel has their own laundry service. I only needed to iron out some shirt creases - not get it dry cleaned. Made use of the gym facilities. Has everything you need for cardio (crosstrainer, treadmill, bike), but lacks on weights. Dumbbells are up to 25 kg and there are machines for legs and back. There was also a chest press machine, but this was out of order through our entire stay. Overall, a good hotel that has (almost) everything. Great for families, couples and groups as you'll get the space you need, not far away from the busier streets of Lagos.

for a hotel at a very cheap price i hope to find a hotel like this in every place i travel. it is very central to the city and the transport is very adequate. very near to the airport and trtaffic is very reasonable even though it is in the centre. we staye in the 8th floor and the lift was very helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Zenit Lisboa. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Room was very nice albeit small. Breakfast was excellent - be sure to include it in your booking. We will definitely return when next we are in Portugal.

A great hotel at the seaside promenade. Many rooms had balconies with the best seaviews ever. At the hotel roof there were pool and jacuzzi.The hotel had a restaurant with many dinnerguests, and a full serviced bar. Parking possibilities in the cellar for extra cost. The personal at counter was helpful in all ways. The price for a stay wa worth every euro.

Went in late Oct 2019 for a fortnight, on-site pool bar closed at that time, but pubs / cafes are a few minutes walk away. Nicely updated room, complete revamp, separate bedroom unit with two single beds, good storage, sofa bed in dining/Went in late Oct 2019 for a fortnight area , comfy to sit on , didn't try it for sleeping but it looked like good quality, fold out bed rathrer than flip over coach style. . showers instead of bath now. Some UK TV channels available, I had Sky News and Pick others had BBC1 and ITV. Internet worked very well. Only small niggle I had was the pillow used , they are of the type that the contents are cut foam and not wonderfully supportive. Highly recommended. Location - 7 minutes walk to st bottom of strip, bus stop across the road outside, green bus to old town , blue bus back, drivers very friendly, I.40 Euro single journey , takes 5 mins by bus.
