We are a family of 4 and were in transit for a few hours going to and coming from Morocco. Its the first time flying Qatar Airways . We usually fly Emirates Airlines and use the Dubai Airport Hotel for our short transit stays .( Also excellent ) The Airport was stunning with easy access from all the passport and baggage checks to the Hotel. Hotel was conveniently located with impeccable staff . Mr Samwel at front Desk was polite , friendly and efficient with processing our check in . We had about 2 hours between our flights - just enough time to shower and eat. The gentleman who helped us to our room was great ! Forgot his name Rooms and bathrooms were clean and stocked with wonderful bath amenities - just the trick to lift your mood when you disembark from a long flight and need to prepare for another Thank you guys ! Will definately want to fly through Qatar airport again !

Staff are very friendly and nice to our requests They even gave us a wholecake for my husbands birthday early morning. They always make sure that are hotel room is clean for 5days. They even provide us eveything we need such as: a storage room for all our boxes and luggages, iron and board, grocery is accessible,gym,big kids&adult pool and playarea. Plenty of restaurant options,near to citycenter. We even celebrated our send off party at their Sports Cafe which is really good for a night sports event and can accommodate big groups and Staffs was really nice and accommodating. Surely we will stay here again once we visit Qatar.

Everything was great from the hotel location: great and amazing view of the Arabian gulf, cleanliness: housekeeping staff was hospitable (Trio and Joseph), front desk staff were warm and accommodating (Irene, Hafez). Check-in and check-out processing time was fine but card key was not available at check-in. My only issue was for the car parking services, I inquired and wanted to park my car on the basement parking lot but was told by front desk staff that basement parking access was just for long-term stay (guests). On my 2nd night of stay, as I was assisted by security personnel he told me that front space parking was full and I was asked to park outside, in front of the hotel beside the road, as to arrange this issue, finally they let me inside the basement parking. Please hotel management must organize regarding guests car parking issues. Nevertheless my stay here was great, I would rate my overall experience as 4 out of 5 stars.

had to travel to qatar at short notice, booked only one day ahead, picked up by hotel from doha airport, very close; hotel quite new, and very cost effective compared to other hotels i have stayed in doha, staff excellant, excellant breakfast,( although a little expensive) will try this hotel again, if same experience ill stay there on future visits to qatar.

The staff was excellent and very helpful. I stayed for one night while transiting through Qatar and I would highly recommend the hotel. The receptionist at that time was particularly welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very clean and very well managed.

The rooms were massive, i paid a bit more for the executive suite with the bigger size room and bigger bed. Well worth $109AUD/ night. It was $20AUD dearer than the deluxe double $89/night. $1AUD = 2 Qatar Riyal. Uber or taxi to Villagio Mall is 22 Riyal. A walk of 300m to KFC and Jollibee and a large supermarket. In same small mall. Staff were absolutely fabulous and very helpful and respectful. Cleaning staff was a bit dopey, i had to go down to the reception to tell them they only left 1 fart ass towel instead of 2. Every day. Restaurant downstairs served nice meals at restaurant prices of course. With the guys all toking on those giant big hooker pipe bongs that sat on the floor with the hash in it and the hose up to their mouth so they could drag the ring out of it. Breathing in that second hand bong smoke stinks like buggery. But, Yes I would definitely stay there again. I love the place 4 stars. Greg from Australia.

Every time I fly to Qatar Holiday Villa Hotel & Residence is the only option I want. This hotel is Staff charming smiley although I have some comment about the bath towels not as good as to be but this is not a big issue for me. late check out always solve by super staff .

It was a very relaxing stay amid the City's busy streets. The breakfast is also very good with lots of food to choose from. The Hotel has friendly Staffs as well, very accommodating! and best of all it's very near Doha's International Airport! I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone who wish to go Doha and are looking for a Hotel to stay in. Its completely a Family Hotel!

i always prefer to stay in this hotel because it has.a complete package. it is affordable, got great location and has kitchenette(thats what im looking for really). but one thing changed it. i booked for my bday and i needed a housekeeping at 12mn. i know its late but im sure its 24/7. so i called the reception and he told me that only 1 housekeeping is available and i told him i can wait. he asked me again why i needed a housekeeping at this hour. of course i needed it. i had a party. before that incident at past 11 i rang the reception to look for one of the staff i know. his reply was very impolite. one last thing. i called him(yes again) at 4am coz the other room is causing singing on the top of their voices (yes again at 4am) and we couldnt sleep. he told me to just go that room and talk to the guest inside.. just sharing. hopefully this will.not happen again. thank you.

We had a great experience with Horizon Manor. In many ways, it is like a five star hotel, but cheap. Beautiful, always clean with fresh towels and a tidy bed, not to mention the best staff there is. They helped you with everything, and even provided free transport to the airport. We booked an ordinary double room, but got a huge room. So amazing! The food was also delicious and the rooftop was mesmerizing. If I have to comment on something, it would have to be the poor selection of equiptment in the gym. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel to everyone! You cannot get a better hotel with this awesome view to a better price anywhere in Doha. Thank you so much Horizon Manor :-) Hugs from Norway

We had a very comfortable stay at the Moevenpick hotel in Doha. We could see the Corniche & Museum of Islamic Art from our window and Souq Waqif was a 10 min stroll away. We were welcomed with delicious complimentary snacks in Reception which are served between 5 & 6pm. The room was large, the bed & pillows were lovely and the curtains very thick so we slept well! As we hadn't booked for breakfast, we ordered room service and had excellent omelettes & coffee. You can get a map of Doha from Reception and there are always cars available to take you where you need to go. There is a small outdoor pool which catches the sun in the morning. There is also a bar but we found it very smokey

Our visit in Qatar was during the Ramadan. As non muslims, it's fortunate that they do room service (for our food). I liked our Deluxe Twin Room which was very spacious . The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It would be nice if they have an ATM within the hotel.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, much more so than at the Grand Hyatt where I was actually working. The room was great, clean snd comfortable. The shower in the bathroom had very hot water and it was difficult to get the temperature just right, it was almost always too hot. The buffet breakfast is much better than the hotels I've stayed in previously in Qatar and Kuwait. The rooftop pool is clean however the bar there is not used which is a pity - the staff will bring food and drinks to the pool from downstairs. They have a nice little gym with weights - not just a couple of machines as in some hotels. The best thing about staying here was the clean room and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble.

I liked it a lot, the location is great because it is near city center mall ( the Biggest in Qatar ), I liked the breakfast as well although not so much food variety to choose from... the great thing is the money value..

Have stayed before about a year back. Great place to stay with good facilities. But with the construction work, access is a bit difficult and takes long . For the Hotel as such no complaints and if back in Qatar will definetly opt for the same hotel again

I had great time at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They responded immediately to any request. The place is clean all over. Food from the hotel’s kitchen is so good (not the Turkish restaurant though, very poor quality food). The small well equipped gym and the small pool area on the 11th were awesome. Overall, I highly recommend.

Great value for money, the design and style of the hotel is a step ahead with regards to the interior design. The staff are friendly and yet professional at all times - nothing is too much trouble. Food is great and again the design of the restaurant creates the impression you really staying someplace that bit more special than the standard "corporate" type of hotel chains. Rooms are large and very comfortable and extremely clean. The fixtures and fittings are classy and expensive with deep pile carpeting on the floors which all create an impression of being in a home rather than a hotel. I stayed just over a week before i left the country again - will definately return there the next time i am in Qatar.

We had booked a two double bed room for our long layover. We were told upon arrival that there is only one double bed and a sofa bed in every room. So I guess they advertised it incorrectly. We specifically informed them of our time of arrival, and we came almost 40mins after the booked time, however, we still had to wait more than 30mins for the room to be prepared. The room was very good, very clean and spacious. The receptionist and other staff members were very polite. The biggest disappointment was swimming pool which had freezing cold water and is the size of a 3-4 double beds. The kids were looking forward to the pool but sadly they were disappointed.

This is an excellent hotel to stay in to experience Qatar. The rooms are very big with queen size (or close to) twin beds in an enormous room with sofa, desk and table. The bathroom is very large too with a very high power shower and separate bath/shower. There is TV with international channels in the room with tea and coffee facilities and plenty of wardrobe space. There is even an iron in each room. The hotel has room service (round the clock I believe) which is good for both breakfast and dinner and there is beer available to order as well if you feel like a cold one after a day out in the hot weather. The breakfast is a very good buffet with both western and Arabic food (please take care though on the booking page if it is included or not, it can be pricey otherwise, around per person). There is underground parking in the hotel and I can recommend getting a hire car from the airport to get around (you need an international drivers license for this). However, step out on to the main street nearby you can quite easily find one of the Qatari green taxis. We were very satisfied with the staff at the hotel and they were extremely accommodating in every situation. We arrived at 6am in the morning and we could get our room without extra charge. Upon check-out there was a queue and we had to wait a little, then there was a problem with our bill. The receptionist called someone to come and sort it out and we had to wait 10 minutes, but no-one arrived within that time - so instead they discounted us the problem completely rather than keep us waiting longer. This is made us happy and shows a true customer service mind. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you want to experience Qatar and have a good place to stay. If you want to experience hotels and what they have to offer then go 5-star.

We had a 20 hour stopover in Doha so booked this hotel to enable us to get some sleep. As a transit hotel it was great value for money with a shuttle bus that picked us up on arrival and a huge suite for a family of 4. The room included great airconditioning, amazing blackout curtains (we slept between 8am-2pm and it felt like the middle of the night), amazing kitchen facilities (microwave, toaster, stove, fridge/freezer, bottled water, washer and dryer) and a lovely warm pool. At the tail end of a long trip we didn't have the energy to venture out so I cannot comment on the location in terms of the city centre, however it would be one of the closest to the airport (and considerably cheaper than the internal airport hotel). Only a few negatives which probably could have been resolved had we pursued them (only 2 bath towels in a suite for 4, no extra toilet paper, hairdryer not working). We booked this apartment to visit my son and his wife who work in qatar and live on the pearl. So it was very convenient to visit them and the local restaurants it is a short walk to the Medina Central with shops , restaurants and local cinemas . The one bedroom apartment was very spacious . Each day they came and cleaned apartments and changed towels. The swimming pool and gym looked great but we did not get to use them. All in all a good apartment at a reasonable price. Will stay there again when we next visit .

Took the opportunity to visit Doha for 2 nights on our way from Asia to South America. Copthorne Hotel came up top in our search for a reasonably priced room in a good location. We arrived at the airport just before 5 a.m. and used an aiport taxi to reach the hotel (meter taxi was 39 real). Check in was smooth. Rooms are fairly sized with high cealings, large windows and a spacious bathroom. I would note that our room was facing the main road with constant stream of traffic. Thus, I would recommend requesting a rear- facing room , if you are light sleeper. In the morning we had to use the concierge to send out an urgent parcel through Qatar post. Javid, the concierge , was most helpful, taking on the chore on our behalf. Overall, we were very impressed with the service at this hotel. Location wise, the property is 15 minutes walk to Souq Waqif, Corniche and Museum of Islamic Art. However, I would recommend taking taxi (starts at 4 real, min. Fare 10 real) to move around the city as like other middle eastern capitals it's not pedestrian friendly (some taxis will try and skip the meter and negotiate a flat fare which I understand is illegal - insist on having the meter on). We would certainly come back here again for a short stay.

Fantastic staff, spacious well appointed rooms and a great outdoor pool - one of the best outdoor pools in Qatar - the pool area is rooftop and unlike many other pools in Qatar it's a great space which actually allows you to enjoy the weather rather than most outdoor pools that are shadowed by other buildings

Everybody will ask the origin of the strange name "K108". I was told before, "K" is the initial of the owner, a Qatari minister, and "108" is the total number of the rooms. The hotel is totally a nice hotel, with nicely designed. The lobby is beautifully designed with curved ceiling. It was my second time staying in this hotel, the first was in 2013 during a business trip in Qatar. It was not changed at all, I can say. Normally, this hotel is over my weekend getaway budget, but that week, the price was relatively lower than usual. Booked with Agoda at QAR 268 for single stay, while it was QAR 275 at Booking.com for double stay. Got Room 406 (facing the back and only shower), but I requested the Receptionist to change with a room with bath tub, then got Room 405, which was nicely facing the front and with a nice bath tub. With Agoda, the cost with breakfast was additional QAR 20, which was quite a bargain considering adding the breakfast at site costed QAR 65. But when I checked the breakfast meal, it looked very basic. I wanted to order the famous burger, but it was available only after 11AM. Regarding the restaurant Yum Yum, it was quite popular and had good review. Initially, it has a Michelin star chef from France, but he left. A friend told me it was good before, but not anymore after the chef left. Their popular one was the hamburger, which was not on the menu. I used the gym, which was quite nice, located on the rooftop. The equipment was ok, pretty standard. The pool was nice too, with temperature controlled water. The view from the rooftop was quite nice, we could see the corniche in the far. Will come back to stay, and to try their burger. I heard the profit was for the charity purpose.

The manager who helped us solve our issue about booking has spoken to us very calmy and made assure of us. He deserves to be the manager. And even asked if there’s any else they could do to make our stay even more better. The staffs as well are well trained in communicating with guests. I’d like to commend about the breakfast too. Nice food, ambiance and staffs. Our whole stay felt like home! :) so much thankful!!!

It was a great experience to be in this hotel. The staffs are accomodating. The ambiance is really good,in which i really enjoyed a lot. If given yhe chance to visit qatar again,i will defintely choose Encore Hotel.

The hotel cleanliness, furneture, staff, breakfast all great. The location is good but in work days the area is crowded and traffic makes it hard to go out or back to the hotel. The gym needs alot of improvment and more bars( you can't train). Also massage area needs improvement. comparing with the price of massage, the place is Too simple.

First the price was good Rooms were very clean but the water tube(shataf) in the bathroom was bad Staff was very friendly and helpful, Mr. Steve at the receptiondesk he was the best . Location of the hotel was very mere for everything . The valet service staff was very friendly and helpful .

The room was sold as being on promotion with all facilities as shown in the glorious pictures on the web site. No mention was made of the major Building project alongside that left the room balcony covered in dust with noise from the building activity and a wretched view of scaffoldings, and a battery of cranes. Room had a pool view, but what a pathetic sight that was of a totally deserted pool area covered in thick dust, and totally unusable; in fact the pool facility and associated facilities were closed, and not available to guests. Thank God we had not arrived as a family with children for our first visit to Qatar, and Doha. Thus, it was misleading to market that room as being on a promotion when the price being charged was, at best the appropriate one for the 'building site' conditions to be endured by the unfortunate guests, and at worst an over stated price in the circumstances. That affected any information I may wish to give in this review.
