I stayed 4 nights there, and felt like my home. 10 minutes walk to the railway station, but slightly far to city center (Amir Timur square) Rooms are clean, and staffs are friendly and helpful. WiFi speed is as good as in Singapore

Highly recommended! Place was spotless, breakfast excellent, definitely the best accomodation I've had in Uzbekitstan.

I stayed at Rumi hostel for one night. what impressed me would be the hospitality of the staff there. At the time I booked only one night stayed at Bukhara and needed to catch an overnight train to Tashkent on the next day at midnight. They allowed me to stay there for a couple of hours after check-out, using the internet and facilities such as toilet and bathroom. I was feeling a little sick on that day, they let me laying down to have a nap on the sofa. The staff even covered a blanket for me, it was really impressive by their warm service and considerate staff . Until midnight, they also called a taxi for me in advance which was beyond my request.I would 100% recommend tourists to stay at this hostel .

It was the most comfortable and heart warming hostel in Uzbekistan so far. Host are so kind and helpful, and have great hospitality for instance they prepare porridge instead of egg and sausages for vegetarian, gave me a pot of hot water when I was sick and so on. There was heater in side which was really appreciate in this season. A bathroom with heater is really good and comfortable. Excellent stay over all.

Staff are lovely but the guests are awful chatting all night on a table right outside your window. Its too noisy and the location of the breakfast area is too close to the rooms. Bring earplugs or you wont sleep a wink. To be fair I cannot fault the hotel staff...they were lovely.

2nd time I'm staying here on the same trip to Central Asia. Wonderful staff! I arrived early in the morning between 4-5am. The friendly male reception staff allowed me to check-in early without extra charges given my situation and arranged with the 2 female kitchen staff to prepare breakfast slightly before 7am. (my breakfast for the next day was swapped earlier as I would be leaving for a flight at 5am). The next female reception staff (Blonde who spoke in Russian?) wasn't so helpful when I asked for recommendations for local food products I could buy back home. She said "You can see for yourself which you don't have at home". Later in the afternoon, she made a huge fuss (loud and slightly aggressive) about requiring documentation of accommodation as required by the authorities. However, I had took an overnight train and early morning flight in the 2 days prior. There was also no checks at the immigration upon entry and exit of the country.

I have tried one other place in Samarkand before going to Emir's, and for the same price Emir is much better. The facilities are clean and well decorated. The common area is comfortable and big. The staff was nice and helpful with us. I'd definitely go back.

I was surprised how full Amir hostel was every night I stayed, even in November. There were travelers from all over passing through regularly, and most were eager to hang out. It would be nice if there were a larger public space to relax, with sofas; the one table doesn't fit all of the guests at once. The staff were friendly but a little distracted or transactional at times. The hostel's in a nice neighborhood an easy taxi or bus ride from the train station, with plenty of good food options, which can be relatively cheap since they're farther from the tourist center. That said, it's a long (but pleasant) walk to the main sights, so I wore myself out walking every day. I appreciated the bunk beds with curtains, outlets, and reading lamps, and that the shower and toilet facilities allowed for privacy.

Art Hostel's a good base for exploring Tashkent. I liked that the beds weren't bunk beds, but each had reading lamps and outlets. The bathrooms were clean, and the breakfast was impressively diverse and buffet-style, with something for everyone. There's a nice large lounge with tables and sofas, and beautiful photos of Uzbekistan with captions to explain them on the walls. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is quiet and feels safe, and it's around the corner from a variety of international restaurants and a big supermarket. There's a metro stop a 10-minute walk away (and it's 2 stops from the main train station). Tashkent is a great city in its own right, so I was happy to spend some time there on my way to Bukhara and Samarkand.

The owner very helpful, friendly. The breakfast very complete (fruit, breads, tea, local cakes, etc). I felt like my home staying at sarrafon B&B hostel. The hostel location closed the historical place. I just walking to reach some historical place. Oneday, I'll will stay here again. Thank ypu miss Aulia for your room, food and kindness.

Best Hotel in Nukus. It's being renewed now but it's still confortable, nice and well-priced. If you are going to Karakalpakia, this is your hotel.

Good location close to the main market. Pleasant courtyard breakfast area. Owner/manager speaks good English; can arrange airport taxi. Supermarket and restaurants 5-10 minute walk. No problems or issues when I was there, and I would stay there again.

Great breakfast. Helpful owner. Right next to main sites so we could walk around a drop back into the hotel for rest or free tea. The local is in the old town so not many restaurants arround but a short taxi ride away. Best b&b we had in Uzbekistan

The proprietor Mr. Ali Jaan is a darling of a person. It is a family run business and is located near Lyab i-Hauz, 1 min walking distance. The rooms are spacious with fairly wide Single bed (My room was single bed). Very nice breakfast. All members of this hotels are super duper friendly. The owner did not even wanted to take money for 2 water bottles, when he came to i was having a fever that time. There are around 9 rooms i guess, There is a central lawn with tables where you can enjoy your food or just relax and read a book.. I highly recommend this Hotel. They take extreme care of their guests.

Clean and large room with a double bed. It is almost brand new hotel. Breakfast is very good. Un-suite bathroom is clean and hot water always available.

We chose this hostel because of its great location at a good price. The location could hardly be better, and the breakfast was pretty good, but the pluses mostly ended there. When we opened the door to the room we were assaulted by a mildew smell that was from the AC leaking into the thick rugs on the floor. The owner insisted it was fine and was argumentative and stubborn, unwilling to be helpful. The room was tiny and cramped, and very poorly set up. We checked for bed bugs and found nothing indicating them, but there was dust, dirt, cobwebs and fruit seeds in every corner. The bathroom carried smells from all over and ranged from smelling strongly of eggs to smelling of rotten melon at various times of day. The bed was uncomfortable. That said, we were on a tight budget and the discomfort did not take away from our experience in Samarkand. It is acceptable, but if you have flexibility in your budget, go elsewhere.

A nice little hostel in an excellent location. My boys are 9 and 10 and we enjoyed our one night and the typical Uzbek budget hotel breakfast.

Pros: ticked all on my list of essential criteria for a solo female traveller: clean, safe, super friendly/helpful staff, right in the heart of the old town! And at approx £20pn including breakfast and free wifi, it was a real bargain! Cons: I was assigned the ground floor room, which was a triple single bedroom, which even though was nice to spread out and I don’t consider myself a large person (at 5ft 2), I found the single beds are narrower than standard single beds in the UK and if I rolled over fully, I’d fall out! It was also noisy being on the ground floor as I was right next to the reception desk, but was fine after midnight after everyone checked in. The area around the hotel is also undergoing major building works, so if you’re looking for magnificent views on their promising cosy open air rooftop, it’s a tad disappointing! No fridge in the room as advertised. No complimentary water in the room, which for a 3star in a country where you can’t drink the tap water is unusual.

Amazing plush dorm with separate pods and super fast internet. Friendly staff, nice outside chill-out area. 10 min walk at most from Registan.

It's a family-run hotel. The staff are very forthcoming and place your comfort at the highest priority. On hindsight, i think i have made quite a lot of request but the staff still fulfilled every one of them with a smile on their face. The staff also embody Uzbek's value of being hospitable. I definitely recommend this place if you are low on budget, looking for a hotel with good location, and warm service.

It was a very pleasant experience. I arrived early morning since I took the night train. The room was ready and the owner let me check-in. They also let me swap my breakfast day as I’m leaving early the following day and the breakfast was great! Excellent location, just behind the Nodir Devon Begi Madrassah. The room is nice, bed is comfortable, bathroom is clean. The family is very hospitable and helpful. This place has my recommendation 👍

Situated right inside Itchan-Kala, and a nice tea house is just nearby. Room is clean and the owner, Jaladdin is willing to share every info about the city. Only problem is the water, you cannot refill, hv to buy a new bottle. Looks like whole Khiva is the same. :) Oh ya! They have a roof top area, and the view is awesme!!

Check-in:We came to Jahongir hotel at 7 a.m and it was very kind and hospitable to provide us a room before check in time . Room:The room was cosy and had everything we needed. Wifi:the best among all hotels in Uzbekistan we stayed. Breakfast:Breakfast was also great. The staff was very helpful. Location:The location is walking distance to Registan. Overall -great value for money.Highly recommended.

I think its one of the best placs in Xiva. Only thing missing was a refrigderator in the room. Very friendly people, helpful and kind

I stayed only one night on the last leg on my journey. Lovely family, very helpful and awesome breakfast. I Should have stayed here on my first leg of the journey. Highly recommended

Vladimir, Rustam and staff made us feel very welcomed. They were always around to greet us and assist us with our questions. The room is spacious and warm during winter. Breakfast was generous and hearty. I love the central location.
