Good location, friendly staffs.”
The location is really good, very nice to find a quite place in shibuya. It’s about 5 mins walking to the nearest subway station, 10 mins to omotesando, so many nice shops around. The staff from reception were very friendly and speak fluent English. I’ll choose this hotel again next time in Tokyo.

Above average”
My first stay with Dormy Inn was two years ago in Kyoto, had a wonderful experience so I decided to stay at Shibuya location this time traveling with my family. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The same size room I reserved in Shibuya was half the size I stayoed in Kyoto. We end up sleeping horizontally to fit two adults and a child. Breakfast was half the selection in Shibuya but acceptable. I also had a luggage transferring fee issue but that was minor. the staff did not mention a charge until I arrived. I am going to think twice next time staying in another location in Tokyo.

Very good”
A bit tricky to get to the hotel, but the location is in fact very convenient to many shopping areas and cafes. I had no issue walking around most of my time. The public bath tub with yuzu was a cherry on top.

Hidden gem”
Just right! Rooms are perfectly sized and have all the nice touches - loungewear, slippers, hairbrush, toothbrush, fridge, great temp control and lighting, nice bathroom, can close door betw bathroom/entry and bedroom for extra sound control. free evening ramen is awesome! breakfast is ah-mazing - everything you could want: both Japanese and Western foods. The shared sento bath is terrific - nice touch w/ oranges floating in the water. nice touches everywhere, refreshing and comfortable. couldn't ask for more. kansha!!

Perfect set up for the solo female traveler”
I was seeking to be in the up and coming side streets of the Harajuka area during my recent trip to Tokyo. The Dormy Inn Premium Shibuya was the perfect set up for me. Wedged between Shibiuya and Harajuka and about a 10 minute walk to the busy action of either area, I could travel on foot to anywhere I was seeking to wander, including subway stations. It is located one block off a major road, tucked back along a quiet back street. I felt safe, I felt welcomed and worked for me quiet well. Accommodations are small, but for a solo person on a mission of shopping, I did not care. Staff was friendly and English was so/so depending on who was at the desk, but all were helpful. Paying for breakfast with my room was a good option to be fueled before I ventured out for my day. There is nothing fancy about this place, but it is clean, welcoming and horribly efficient...like many things in Japan.

I will always come here when I visit Shibuya.”
Great service! They spoke English well, daily cleaning, there was wifi and ethernet, small refrigerator, well air-conditioned, and many shops were within walking distance. I didn't realize how close it was to the train station. So convenient. The only thing you might have trouble with is that the hotel is kind of hidden on a back alley street lol. I was like "wait...its down this way?"

Very small rooms. Good location. Nice to have laundry facilities and onsen. Staff speaks little English and are only moderately helpful. Have stayed here 3 times, but do not plan to stay here again.

Good & Bad”
I arrived at noon after flying from Korea. The young man at the desk informed me that check-in is 3 pm. I asked if they could put me in a room as soon as one was ready so I could prepare for a late afternoon business meeting. He told me there would be no rooms ready until 3 pm. That was ridiculous and I told him so. I went and sat in the area where breakfast is served and watched him cross the lobby shortly after I sat down. A few minutes later he came over to me and said he checked with a manager and was told I could check into my room in 20 minutes but I would be charged extra since check-in was not until 3 pm. If the room was not already paid on Agoda and past the cancellation deadline, I would move to a different hotel. But the room was paid, the cancellation deadline had passed and I needed to clean up and prepare for my meeting so I agreed to the upcharge. I also told the employee I would write a negative review. Fortunately, a manager checked my in and did not charge the extra.

Unpleasant check in experience ”
Location a distance from MRT. Walked for 30mins found hotel and upon check in was slapped to pay JPY 4000 for two kids cos of Hot spring services. Argued that we no chance to be use with three young kids but hotel manager insist us to pay. We were stranded and tired and no choice but to pay as we had a overnight flight and the kids were all cranky and tired. Pros: the late supper and breakfast is good.

Great location, nice, not fancy”
Although the hotel doesn’t give a very good first impression, as it is located in what seems to be a back alley, it is rather nice inside. My daughter and I booked a twin room with breakfast. The size of the room was pretty decent, though we had to live out of our suitcases for five days as there was no place to unpack. The air conditioning was great. Breakfast was good and the options were plentiful. I had the free ramen one night and thought it was pretty good. We did use the onsen one night—it was clean and quiet and very nice. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to Harajuku and Shibuya stations. My only complaints are that the beds were way too hard and room was not dusted while we were there—the windowsill and the ledge above the headboards got extremely dusty during our stay.

Very functional hotel”
The rooms in this hotel are tiny and the staff is polite but not terribly helpful. The location is excellent if you want to be in Shibuya or reasonably near Omotesando Road. The onsen and laundry facilities are very convenient and there is pretty good coffee in the rooms. The breakfast is also pretty good.

Good hotel located in between Harajuku and Shibuya”
I chose this hotel because I wanted/needed to stay nearby Harajuku. Despite the name on Agoda, the hotel is located exactly in between Shibuya and Harajuku, behind some alley. You need to walk a little bit if you want to go to Shibuya. There is some overpass to get to or from Shibuya, but if you look carefully at the roads, you can skip that and use the ordinary zebra crossing. As for Harajuku, perhaps it's a bit nearer, you need to get on the main road and cross street. Or climb a bit uphill to get to the nearest subway in front of Yoyogi. Mine was a pleasant stay, and enjoyed its facilities and cleanliness, but I get some people imagined it closer to Shibuya.

Worth the money”
We were in Shibuya for 2 days and stayed in the Dormy Inn. The space was small (as expected) but we weren’t in the room enough to care. Everything was clean and they provided a lot of different essentials (toiletries) if you forgot something. Location is priceless!! We walked everywhere!! Enough activities and shopping within a mile from the inn.

Great Budget Option!”
The entire room was very clean and cosy and I appreciated that a lot. Location was average and decent - not the closest to the train station but acceptable and still somewhat convenient! I love that the hotel had an onsen as well. Overall this is a great hotel for the price you pay and I would definitely recommend it. Oh and although the room comes with a TV, you are not able to watch shows unless you pay for it.
