Hello :) This is my honest review of the Grand Walkerhill Seoul, self-paid♡ 》Stay Date: March 19, 2025 (Wednesday) 1 night 》Room Type: Superior Twin Room (No view) 》Breakfast Use: Breakfast included (Vista Hall, 1st floor, The Buffet) 》Reservation Conditions: Free swimming pool and fitness, free minibar, sauna for a fee 》Room Floor: 3rd floor 》Occupants: 2 people The room was located at the very end of the 3rd floor with no view, but it was better than I expected. The condition of the room was good~ I was worried it would be noisy because the ice maker was right next to it, but maybe because it was a weekday, it was super quiet even during the day and late at night^^ ♡ Positive Aspects of Staying at Grand Walkerhill 》Check-in, mobile check-in, and check-out made it very convenient to check in easily before arriving and go straight to the room. The staff were also very friendly. 》The lobby had wonderful interiors, displayed artworks, and majestic yet sophisticated facilities that were a feast for the eyes. 》Room: It was clean, and the bed was the most comfortable I've had among all the hotels I've visited.. As soon as I checked in, I took a short nap and slept for 2 hours.. 》Bathroom: The water pressure was strong, so it made for a quicker bath and shower time. The refreshing water flow was the best!^^ 》Minibar: The mini-fridge had 2 bottles of water, 2 cans of highballs, 2 cans of soda, and 1 free pretzel snack, which was excellent^ 》Café: There’s a café with a view of the Han River, but I couldn’t use it because it was late; I just peeked inside, and it was really nice. I plan to use it next time^^ 》Library: There’s a library on the 2nd floor that only hotel guests can enter, and it had a great atmosphere. 》Breakfast: I had breakfast at The Buffet in Vista Hall on the 1st floor.. it was really delicious. A morning meal packed with freshness and health! Having a leisurely breakfast by the spacious window view overlooking the Han River and Achasan was truly happy. There were many options, and everything was delicious, plus I enjoyed some white wine. 》Walking path: After breakfast, I went for a walk around the hotel, going up and down a slight hill, which was refreshing. It took about 20 minutes:) 》CU Convenience Store: There was a convenience store on the basement level that I conveniently used. ♡ Disappointing Aspects of Staying at Grand Walkerhill When booking the room, I saw that the swimming pool and fitness were free, but the sauna was for a fee, which was disappointing since I don’t usually swim and don’t often use the fitness. Especially since I was with my parents, I thought it would have been nice if the sauna was free, and if we could choose between the swimming pool, fitness, and sauna, it would have made the hotel stay more satisfying^^ My parents were satisfied, so next time I want to stay at this hotel with the whole family together♡♡ That’s all. Due to urgent circumstances, I visited with my baby, and I was touched by the thoughtful service of the staff. I would like to thank all the staff members, including Jang Jae-won at the desk and Han Gi-soo at the buffet, for their warm kindness. My experience at Walkerhill has left me with very good memories. My sister and I stayed 2 night gets over the weekend and overall, very sat with the stay. The buffet is superb and the shuttle makes public transportation easy for the guest. There is a nice hiking trail to boost.

This is my third stay at Walkerhill, and this time I stayed for two nights. I usually choose it for the comfortable atmosphere of the Grand. First, there were a few things I didn't like. Firstly, unlike other times, I experienced noise and vibrations from the accommodation. I heard loud banging sounds, like chairs being slammed, around midnight, which was quite distracting, and then around 1 a.m., there were some embarrassing noises that seemed to come from another room. It was particularly stressful because I have an elementary school daughter. We had already been woken up by the noise and vibrations, so I was worried about waking her again since she had just fallen asleep. Fortunately, she didn't wake up, but I wondered if the Grand Walkerhill is old and sensitive to noise and vibrations. At night, I felt that calling the front desk wouldn’t lead to significant actions, and I was hesitant but endured the situation. The next day, hoping to get some notice in case it continued, I reached out, and they told me to contact the front desk immediately during those situations. They were out patrolling at night. It was peak season, almost fully booked, but they said they could change our room. They checked and said both neighboring rooms had checked out, and since we were only staying one more day, we decided to stay as we were. Fortunately, nothing happened that day. I was satisfied with the response and actions taken. Secondly, near the bathtub faucet, there was some body hair and when I moved the lower pillow, there was hair underneath it as well. I have stayed at various places from business class to five-star hotels, but this was my first time encountering something like this, which was disappointing. I requested for cleaning again. Aside from that, Walkerhill is great for walking and has many dining options. Of course, you need to make reservations for the dates and times you want, but if you time it well, it can be quite nice. Room service is not bad. It’s not extremely satisfactory though. I liked that the seasoning wasn’t too strong. Regarding the orange juice, it was quite pricey but tasted like mixed commercial drinks, not the fresh squeezed orange juice I expected. For the chicken set, two drinks are included, but the only choices available were alcohol or soda. If it must include a drink like this, it would be nice to have a wider variety of options, even if it means paying extra. Myeongwolgwan and Pizza Hill are always great as usual. I visited The Buffet for breakfast for the first time, and I liked the Korean food section. The rest was just alright.
I planned a 1-night, 2-day trip along with a visit to Children's Grand Park, and it was so satisfying. The condition of the accommodation, breakfast, and the kindness of the staff were all factors that enhanced the stay. It's a place I would want to visit again after my child grows up. I recommend coming here with family.
The accessibility was really good as I could use the hotel shuttle bus from the subway station. It was also easy to move around using public transportation, so there was no burden. The view of the Han River from the hotel was truly impressive. It was pretty during the day, but especially beautiful at night with the Han River night scenery. The room was overall very clean and well organized, making for a comfortable stay. The bedding felt cozy and well-maintained. The water pressure during the shower was sufficient and the hot water was stable and came out well, which was satisfying. The shower conditions at the accommodation are important during travel, and it was very good. The hotel had a subtle and luxurious fragrance throughout, which made me feel good from the moment I walked in. I felt that it was being managed with great attention to detail. This is a place I would like to stay at again when I visit Seoul next time 😊
I stayed with my 80-year old mom, and we both very much enjoyed our stay at Walkerhill. The food was fantastic, especially the Korean breakfast in the room service menu and the Chinese restaurant in the first floor. The price was also good, inexpensive in light of the quality of the food. The room was clean, and the beautiful scenery of the Achasan and Han river creates a cozy, calm environment, in which I would find myself part of it. The hotel staff and all the people at the bakery and restaurants that I came across were all kind and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this place. We chose this place simply because of our nostalgic memory for the hotel's show we watched a long time ago, but our pilgrimage to the hotel this time has confirmed that the hotel is still the best without the show!
I went to a hotel with a club lounge included for a staycation. When I first entered the room, I was surprised by how big it was and the bed was very large and cozy. The view was of the mountains (a parking lot tower view, haha), but it was nice because the space was open. The complimentary mini-bar was well stocked. The elevator was ultra-fast, which was really convenient, but parking was slightly inconvenient due to the high number of users. The elevator dedicated to the lounge was also really convenient, and the view from the lounge was more than sufficient. For dinner, I had a simple meal with a drink, and for breakfast, I enjoyed it while watching the sunrise. There weren't many varieties, but the selection was good. The seaweed soup and the rice porridge with sea cucumbers were very delicious. The salads were mostly soft, small leaves, which were easy to eat. The bread wasn't great... I'm glad I came, and I would like to visit again.
I have memories from a long time ago when I visited, and I am currently staying for the second night through Agoda. It seems that the Grand is the old building, but unlike the exterior, the interior is not glamorous, yet it feels clean and tidy. The staff also seem to possess kindness and smiles that match a 5-star standard. Next time, I think I will try the Vista as well.
The hotel has comfortable beds suitable for a five-star establishment and offers various facilities such as a library, gym, swimming pool, exhibitions, restaurants, and cafes. The rooms with a view of the Han River also provide a good view of the Muron Club Lounge, and the minibar is complimentary, making it a pleasant place to relax. However, some areas in the older rooms show signs of less maintenance.
I chose this hotel because of the symposium that I was attending being held in the Vista Hall, and as a foreigner to this country, I chose the easier option. The price was not that cheap but I get a good deal using Agoda, slightly cheaper than the normal price. Location wise, it is quite far from city center or shopping district, and still need a few minutes walk downhill if you want to use public transportation. However if you need this place for rest, leisure activities, sure this will be the best option. The room is exceptionally clean and eco friendly. The mini bar is free. The convenience store, pharmacy and restaurants are available within the buildings. The staffs are kind and helpful. Overall, will be back for sure, and will recommend it.
The mountain is right behind and there is a river in front, so the view is nice. I would like to praise the front desk staff, Mr. Moon Jae-min. When I asked about the Achasan course behind, he kindly explained it to me, and he also informed me about the hotel services in a friendly manner, so I had no discomfort during my stay. I plan to use it again next time.
Here is good place to rebuild yourself if you are tired of regular life. Personally Grand is prefer for comfortable accomodations.
Even though the location is a bit far, the shuttle bus comes frequently, and once you enter the hotel, there are pharmacies, convenience stores, a pool, a bookstore cafe, and so on, making it enjoyable. The staff members are also very friendly, which is great. I want to come again next time!

I was satisfied with the elegant and comfortable lobby, and the simple and clean room. The scent reminiscent of my favorite White Neroli made for a pleasant stay. The transportation was slightly inconvenient, but the staff were friendly, and the facilities were good. However, there was some hair under the table, which was a bit shocking, but since I had my baby with me, I cleaned it up quickly... The breakfast was also very delicious.

This is the second time using Walkerhill after last year. I recalled the happy times spent there with my parents and three sisters, when we first visited. During our stay, we had a joyful and beneficial time with my second daughter, who will return to her job as a nurse at a university hospital in November, and my grandchild. Walkerhill, which is perfect for spending time with precious family, offered excellent facilities, friendly staff, clean indoor spaces, and satisfying breakfast. I have a feeling I will be using it frequently. My daughter is also very satisfied. We had a great rest. Thank you.
I made a reservation for a river view room at the Grand Walkerhill because I wanted to quietly relax with my partner. I went with mixed expectations, but as soon as we opened the window and saw the view, we both fell silent. I realized that the Han River could look this amazing. The open view, the quiet atmosphere, and sitting by the window watching the river flow was just a nice time being together. The room was in good condition, and I was satisfied with the bed and amenities as well. Even without doing anything special, the space itself made the day meaningful for us. The staff were friendly, but it was even more comfortable that they only attended to what we needed without being intrusive. There were no loud events, but we were able to enjoy a sense of leisure that we usually don’t get to experience together. On the way back, the words "let's come again" came out naturally. It wasn’t an exaggerated expression at all; it was a day where I could sincerely say, "the Grand Walkerhill River View is the best."
I went on a hotel vacation and I liked that there was a shallow pool in the swimming area. The water was a bit cold, but the kids had a great time. Forest Park was better than I expected. I booked a room with a non-view for a little cheaper, but it wasn't worth it. The price difference wasn't much, so I plan to go with a regular room next time. The breakfast had a variety of options and tasted good. It's great for a hotel vacation with kids.
I am sure that the hotel staff's customer service was excellent. The view from the hotel room was magnificent. The only thing I was not sure about was the bathroom; it was small and looked like it needed to be renovated. The room size was much less than that of other five-star hotels.
Every employee at every place we went was really kind. We are a family of four with children, and the room was spacious, with two beds securely attached, which made us satisfied. The swimming pool and the buffet breakfast were great, and thanks to the shuttle driver’s kind consideration, we were able to take a tour around Pizza Hill and Douglas. It’s also nice to take the shuttle to Gwangnaru Station for dining! The Light Theatre was great, and everything was really good. There’s a reason why Walkerhill is famous; it’s the best!!!!
The staff is kind, but there are some who struggle with language selection! Other than that, the facilities are diverse and really nice. It's an old hotel, so there are some inconveniences even after renovations, but I'm quite satisfied.

My second stay in Seoul was at the Walkerhill Hotel, which has been the setting for Korean dramas. My long-held wish has come true. From the river view room, you can enjoy the majestic flow of the Han River against the backdrop of the buildings. I highly recommend enjoying the night view. A stroll around the property is also recommended. The view of the sunrise from the garden of Aston House was especially wonderful. The breakfast buffet restaurant was very fulfilling. In addition to tourists, I also saw many Western business people. It's a hotel where you can truly enjoy the experience of staying there.
This is a five star white glove resort that we booked on Agoda. We had no idea what we were in for. Kind and welcoming service and a buffet that was beyond our wildest expectations! The service is impeccable, the facility is beautiful. When we got there they told us that we had booked the package that included forest park- free beer and marshmallow toasting by the fire. The free shuttle bus takes you there - up the hill. Charming. The buffet was spectacular. The only thing I can say that is mildly negative is that the location is slightly far from city center of Seoul but they have a free shuttle to the train/subway. We were blown away at the accommodations we got for what we spent. If I could live there, I would. Thank you to everyone who made our stay spectacular. And the concierge made great recommendations for a great skin care experience. Kudos to the staff- well done.
This is a hotel I frequently use; it's a quiet five-star hotel that's great for relaxation. I've tried various meals, but the dinner buffet is the most delicious, and Douglas's dinner is good as well. The breakfast isn't as good as it was in the early days of the W Hotel, but it's decent. If you're planning to eat here, I recommend focusing on dinner. Also, if you're assigned a room near the smoking area, be careful, as you might smell smoke when you open the window. Make sure to take this into account when booking. Enjoy your time at Walkerhill!

The accommodation is comfortable and the morning walking path is nice. I was tired from my business trip but had a good rest. However, the soundproofing is really bad.
It's a good place to stay if you are a bit tired of exploring Seoul city or need a break/rest from traveling. The staff are kind and very helpful, the hotel has its own space for exhibitions and nice parks where you can just walk around and relax. Achasan is very close, so it's also nice for short hikes. But the best part is the breakfast buffet. You can enjoy good food with a beautiful river view.
Travelling with my son to attend a convention. The hotel was very clean, staff were friend, efficient and very accommodating. We also appreciate that a bus can bring us to the subway station anytime of the day. The food was a bit more expensive though but nevertheless it was delicious and well-prepared. Truly this is a very good place to rest and take a break from our busy schedules in the hospital. Would love to come back with the rest of the family someday.
I loved it. Stayed on a low floor (3rd floor, no view) due to budget constraints. But it overlooked a terrace with plants and another building, so wasn't depressing at all. The staff are lovely. The mini bar in the room is free. The bathroom is clean, spacious and well-stocked. The bed is super cozy. The closet space is ample. I loved staying here and look forward to returning.

It was a room facing the mountain (Room 1002) with a view of the parking building. It was disappointing, but the room condition and friendly walks were nice. The lounge happy hour had very few food options, but it was tasty, and the breakfast was very satisfying.
The room is fantastic with a very huge very comfortable bed. The room is also a decent size. The hotel is clean and the staff are hospitable.
I stayed for one night in a room that included access to the club lounge with my 85-year-old mom. I was worried that she might not eat well, so I thought it could be a bit of a waste of money, but the food in the club lounge exceeded my expectations and was excellent for elderly tastes. Of course, the buffet food goes without saying! Those using the club lounge during weekdays can also enjoy the buffet. Foot baths are available for an additional 18,000 won per room and can be used without any limit, but the sauna costs an additional 20,000 won per person. However, it’s free for suites and higher. This staycation was truly the best!

These days, hotel prices have risen so much that it's not easy to stay comfortably alone for a day, but I still think Walkerhill is the best value among hotels in Seoul in many ways. The staff were friendly in their responses from check-in to check-out, and although Walkerhill is an older hotel, it is very well maintained, so I never felt it was outdated and had a great rest. Additionally, the breakfast is excellent compared to other hotels. The menu selection is very substantial, and the view from the breakfast restaurant is unbeatable. If you're looking for the best view of the Han River in Seoul, I believe Walkerhill is the best. The walking paths are well arranged, the hotel’s facilities are excellent, and if I had to choose just one hotel to visit repeatedly for relaxation, I would choose Walkerhill.

I booked through Agoda and the breakfast was really delicious, and the staff were friendly. I would consider visiting again. However, it stated that breakfast was available when booking, but I was confused thinking it was included, and I had to buy breakfast separately as it was not included. I think it’s important to check carefully when making a reservation.
It’s our third time here, and stayed in different rooms. This time round, the room and services were really lacking and it’s to our surprise since we had excellent experiences prior. We will still stay here on our annual trip and hopefully our experience will be better next year.

Thanks to the wonderful view overlooking the Han River, I was able to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable time even in the city. The room was quite tidy. The breakfast had a variety of menus and was of good quality. The staff was friendly and responded quickly, so I felt that the overall service quality was high. The Walkerhill has well-equipped facilities such as a convenience store, swimming pool, and gym, so if you make a reservation in advance, you can have a very satisfying time without needing to go outside. It is a hotel that I would recommend for families and couples alike.
