Overall it is quite passable but for what they charge one certainly expects much more.

Cheap hotel”
This hotel is good for people who want cheap and not spend their time too long at hotel(just for sleep). Room and the other places in hotel was not clean enough. Bed was OK level but not great. In the bath room there was tooth brush someone already used. Terrace is not very comfortable to spend time.

Awful awful awful!”
I live in Myanmar so am fully aware of the standard of hotel to expect for the money but this hotel is literally the worst hotel I have stayed in at that price range! Bathrooms dirty, corridors dirty, cobwebs on ceiling, shower water smells of sulphur, in town so not pleasant , town end of beach is full of trash, overpriced especially at water festival time. Staff are lovely but need some training on housekeeping!

Awesome hotel but excellent staff”
this hotel is awesome, very hot, no power during the day (so the aircon is useless...when it's forty celsius outside !). Rooms are small and no mosquito net on windows. Fortunately the hotel staff is very helpful and reserve you a warm welcome. Without them, the average rate for this place would be 1/10 !

Ok But Not Safe”
Not a child friendly building, with either long windows (from floor to about 2m high) that open fully and you can literally walk out of, or otherwise, a balcony that wasn't safe (if you have a toddler). Staff were friendly, helpful but generally clueless, meandering about, spending all day doing very little. But they did try to help. Myanmar accommodation is fairly expensive for what you get. It's a (badly designed but) okay place to book for the assurance of the first night somewhere, but there's better places in and around the area.

A good hotel with a fair price, but a little far from beach, but on the main road, and staff are polite. Compare to the price, this is the good hotel.

overpriced like everything else in Ngwe saung ”
staff are nice and try their best, location is OK and rooms are generally clean
There is no electricity from 6am to 6pm, meaning also no WiFi.. However, even when the power was there I couldn't use wifi. I tried two times to get the staff to help but the passwords were incorrect for the router on third floor and only worked on ground floor . Also the signal seemed quite bad on the third floor where I was. Some guy that smelled like betel leaves who was supposed to be the WiFi tech offered me a happy ending massage... The bed sheets were clean as well as the bathroom but I found a dead cockroach on the floor when I first got there. The staff were very young and cute, they really tried their best, but it seemed there was a lack of organization at the higher level. Overall I think this place needs a lot more work, at this point it's way overpriced.

You get what you pay for..”
Staff were OK err, can't think of any more.
This hotel is along the lines of a hostel: for a hostel it would be good, for a hotel not so!! The location on the main street is near plenty of restaurants, beach is 500 meters away but don't go bare footed as the sand pathways are full of rubbish. The room I had was a little on the small side and the lack of power, which the whole village suffers from between 6am and 6pm made temperatures in the room a little high during the day. The whole village shuts down at 10pm as the hotel doesn't have a bar or proper restaurant this ended up in a few early nights trying to watch a film or two. Easier said than done when the TV keeps changing stations. Forget the WI-FI as it never works (routers not even plugged in). Still I enjoyed it in a perverse kind of a way but glad to leave back to Yangon after 4 Nights.

Uncomfortable”
Good location, near the nice beach.
Uncomfortable due the day time electricity cut. 6am to 6 pm. Room was like a sauna, when outside temp was +40 Celsius. We stayed only 2 nights instead of 4 night booking. The hotel and room weren't cleaned properly. The staff was motivated to do anything. We felt like we were a nuisance for them. And there is NO WIFI. We were prepared to work a bit during our stay, so that was a real annoyance. Near by resorts have wifi, but it costs as we ordered drinks and food in their restaurants to use the wifi. The beach is nice, but very few facilities: simple covered stalls serve food and drinks. No toilets (resorts have them) Mostly local holidaymakers spending their weekends/holidays there. As most places in Burma, the place, hotel and town,is overall pricy.

Should be one of your last options in Ngwe Saung”
You should only stay there if there is absolutely no other place available in Ngwe Saung. It is way too expensive for what you get. Electricity only works from 6 pm until 6 am, which is ok if you want to stay at the beach for the whole day. But you should definately write that in the hotel description. Furthermore we had to insist that electricity be on during that time. The staff's suggestion was that it would be on for one hour, than off for two hours... and so on and so forth. Considering the 30 + degrees at night that seemed a really bad suggestion. After long "debates" with the staff who does not speak English at all they finally agreed to leave the air con on - at least until 4 in the morning. The advertised WiFi is not working at all. I will not stay there again
