Best hotels & accommodations in Kagawa Prefecture

Hotel has its own parking but chargeable at 1000 yen per night (reasonable). We booked at a standard room however the room size is not too small. The environment of the open onsen is very nice but not big. Breakfast is recommended. late night ramen is provided from 9:30 to 11:00 pm. Nearby the hotel, just across the street, there are a lot of food selection.

this is one of the best budget hotels that I have stayed in. the room is spacious comparing to the standard size in japan. the room is clean and tidy. the staff is professional and welcoming. not the best option if you are just staying for a night for transfer to other cities, but definitely recommend it if you are exploring around the city and major shopping avenues a...

Fantastic full window views of Angel Road from our room. Wonderful dinner and buffet breakfast included. Lovely onsens to relax in as well - both indoor and outdoor type. Cherry on top was the staff - they went absolutely above and beyond to try to accomodate us and make sure we had a pleasant stay as well as make sure we made our ferry on to Takamatsu. I especially re...

Room was so hot that I woke up several times at midnight and not felt well next day. Staff was careless and gave wrong change. Yet the breakfast was excellent with different kinds of local fruit and I was fascinated with the colourful tomatoes and the orange juice from Kagawa. It was expensive though.

I loved everything about my stay at this hotel. My very reasonably priced room was spacious and had a great view of the bay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I rented a bicycle from them for a day and did a nice ride to the Movie Village at the end of a quiet coastal road. They had free quality coffee service in the lobby. If you stay multiple nights and agree ...

I am the solo traveler who stay in the sea view Japanese room. The view is so stunning. It's not a traditional Japanese hotel. They let the customers took the Japanese style dinner and breakfast in their sea view dinning room. Their dinner time is 6:00/6:30/7:00 pm. Breakfast is 7:00/7:30/8:00am. I booked a dinner but I have no idea what's that. As I didn't eat co...

We stayed in both the JR Hotel Clement and the JR Clement Inn, which are next door to each other across the street from the Takamatsu port, and we liked the JR Clement Inn more. The large Hotel Clement, with its marble atriums, big restaurants, and floors full of conference spaces, seemed like an impersonal upscale business hotel, whereas the much smaller JR Clement In...

Almost perfect except for its a bit far away from oboke station, but its free shuttle service to and from the station, even to another nearby hotel as in my case, got rid of the location problem. Once arrived in the hotel, the receptionist who i still remember her name, was so helpful not only explaining the hotel facilities and onsen usage, but also assisting us to pl...

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is a short bus ride from the JR rail station and easy to find in a central location, with a bus stop 20 metres from the door. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was more spacious than we had come to expect in Japan and the fittings and features clean, new and of a high stand...

The hotel offer breathtaking view overseeing Seto Inland Sea. Best to watch sunset from your hotel room, sea view facing. The staff is friendly and kind. The breakfast served traditional Japanese breakfast but what make it stand out is the three different color drinks red, green and orange in little glass. Really nice presentation. The room is super spacious as we...

Typhoon hit on the day that i was supposed to checked in, called the staff to let them know i maybe late and they were very kind and patient to offer alternative commute suggestions, despite my halting Japanese. My room was very pretty and had a balcony porch that i enjoyed having some nice tea at whilst pondering by the night sky. The onsen was simply lovely, the typ...

It was not hard to locate the hotel, just that I first entered through the side entrance hence needed some navigation inside a building (clear signage was provided). It was further from the station than expected, still reasonable: took about 10 minutes to walk. I had booked a single non-smoking room but it was not available during checkin, the staff was nice enough to ...

It is a little bit hard to find, by which I mean you have to look above your eye level to see the sign. The lady that worked a the repection was extra pleasent and helpfull. I needed a place to crash next to the port and train station and i got that. It was clean and nice. If I ever come back I won't thi k twice where to book my accomodation. And accros the street is a...

We booked Guest House Sukaruso quite last minute and were happy we did - it was basic but comfortable accommodation, in a traditional Japanese house. Walls are thin so you can hear others but we slept well, if you're a light sleeper maybe take plugs. It's located right near the port, lots of food options and the wonderful public bath which is well worth a visit (the ho...

We are an American couple traveling to Takamatsu for the first time. The APA Hotel seems to be more designed for Japanese business travelers. However, we found the bed to be comfortable, the facilities to be good, and the location to be pretty good as well. There is an excellent coffee shop located within 5 minutes walking and plenty of restaurants/shopping around as w...

We stayed as wanted a cheap hotel on our way back into Takamatsu after driving around the Iya Valley. The price was excellent and just a 20 min drive back to the train station. Just make sure the room states non smoking. I booked a double which turned out to be a smoking room. Thankfully the room didn't smell of cigarettes. This issue was more a fault of Agoda tha...

The traditional apartment is an interesting place to live in, different from hotels. The location is 5 min walk from 瓦町 station and you probably need Google map to get there. The bathroom is outside of the room but that's okay with me. Of course, there are inconvenient things like you can hear noise from neighborhood traverllers. For those who have serious trouble with...

It’s easy to go there, here is a old Japanese style hotel, if you like to enjoy such an accommodation, I am strongly recommend you to live here! The services were very good which is exceeded my expectations. The dinner here is very delighting and there is 2hrs free bicycle for rental...I will definitely live here if I visit to 小豆島again!

This business hotel is a little old, but don't let the looks put you off. Everything is clean and serviceable and a good deal for being this close to the ferry port. The staff are really friendly and kind, and try their best with English. There's parking available for 500yen per night. I've stayed here twice and will definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed staying at Tsutsujiso Lodge. The caravan was cosy and I had dinner at the restaurant both nights, as well as breakfast. The food was delicious. The location was great - very close to Benesse House and the Lee Ufan and Chichu Museums. The staff who work there were really lovely and very helpful. I recommend paying a little extra to use the private onsen...

The hotel was really right next to the jr station Utazu, walkable distance to the coastline to enjoy time looking at the sea and longest bridge. Their buffet breakfast variety is excellent and their udon is a must eat! Reception was great too. Though English might be a problem but they were patient and friendly, so everything work out fine. Room wise, don't expect it t...

The owner offered to pick us up at the station, which was awesome. Luckily for us we had the whole house to ourselves. The house was really big and very homey the host was really nice and super helpful, he even drop us off at a shrine which we were planning to walk there. Yes its a bit far from the city but we didn't mind it, it was nice to get out of the city and see ...

I’ve stayed in many different dormitories and capsule hotels all over Japan, this one is one of the bests I’ve stayed in. The only problem with such awesome place is always the guests who have no self respect. I found myself cleaning after other guests after them using the kitchen and bathroom, cause they don’t care about others after making a mess. Smh. Anyway, I rea...

First of all the host is amazing, just so warm and helpful, good english too! The place is small as the description says, it was super clean, light and plug socket by the pillow which is always handy. Powerful hot shower. Right by a train station and right by one of the Shikoku pilgrimage temples too. Thanks so much!

I have honestly never met a host that ungenerous before. He kept reminding us not to use the shower in the guesthouse and wanted to charge extra if we use it. He even watered down all the hand soap, shampoo and body wash to a point which it is impossible to clean with those. The walls are paper-thin (literally just paper) and one can hear the people next door. There a...

I had stayed here previously and I came back because I liked it so much. Well organized guesthouse. Check in is at 4pm but you can drop your bags before 12pm. Bed is comfy, the pod is roomy. Bathroom and kitchen are very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free tea and coffee. Laundry available for 200 yen. It’s about a 25 mins walk from JR Takamatsu station which I...

If you want a cheap spot to stay, Little Plum is great. It's near Miyanoura Port and has bikes to rent as well as a diner next door. It was easy to get there although be careful about when you arrive-- there was no one there when I needed to check in and a note said to call the owner. I didn't have that option as a foreign traveler but a very nice bystander helped me. ...

This is the second time I stayed in this hostel. Very clean and comfy, only bad thing is that a bit far from kawaramachi station and takamatsu port, yet using the bus route is the best way to save walking time. I love the common area which is the cafe with many books and information abt travelling and art related programmes. I love the breakfast so much priced at 500ye...

1. Large room 2. Cheap price 3. Airconditioner/heater is good 4. Location is superb 1. Shared toilet 2. Not 24hour shower 6~9 facewash 16~24 shower 3. No freezer in the room Okay Compare with the price it is good Room is clean but floor carpet is bit dirty Supermarket is near and there are good restaurants around hotel Just think about price... you can't com...

It's location is very good especially for solo traveler like myself who need to use the bus a lot- there is a bus stop right in front. There is a restaurant right next door for dinner; another one for breakfast. It's a good place to stay if you want to spend a night on the shodoshima at a low cost

Although very simple and pared back, the stay at Mamma beat all the other hotels during our 10 day stay in Japan. Its setting is idyllic and the atmosphere serene and restful. A braceful cycling expedition round the island, wholesome food, forest bathing and a soak in the Japanese Bath at Mamma, means your spirits will be restored in no time. Recommend lunch at Shima...

The location is practicly in the port. It os extra easy to move around from there. Dormitory is nice, clean. A bit little bit overpriced, but among the cheapest on this island. Lady that is the owner or whtever she is is amazing person, warm and helpfull she adds the extra star or two to the whole impression of the stay 🤗🤗

The Honmura Art Village is tiny, everywhere is walkable. The host guided me through the intro with little English and laminated cards and with grace and charm. A recommendation was made for the restaurant serving set meal os sashimi fish was superb. My traditional room was spotless but hot though the temperature moderated (which may or may not have been the a/c!) in ti...

We’ve stayed in a very small double room (unfortunately no double but two single beds with spring mattresses) for only one night. For this it does it’s job and the friendly service of the staff counterbalances the simplicity of the place. There is a bus connection from Miyaura port and about a 20 minute walk to Honmura port. Bikes are available for rent on site. You...

They are not much information, review and nice picture showing in the website. But when I arrived, I really love the place the room is large, clean and tidy. The room view is a Honmura port which is really beautiful in the morning. They also a common living room for free-drink. The hosts were lovely though they speak very few English but they were helpful. The loc...

The first issue I encountered was Agodas. The room did not indicate smoking or non smoking. I added a special request for non smoking which was not passed to the hotel. The smoking room smell was really unpleasant. Please be aware of this when you book. The excellent staff helped me to change room. For both rooms, the arrangement is business hotel standard and is fin...

It was raining while we were checking out. We had informed the front desk to book taxis for us to proceed to the train station. Instead, they had provided us a vehicle promptly to accommodate 5 persons (with 5 pieces of luggage) without any charge. Such a thoughtful and excellent services!
