New Jersey hotels & places to stay

Perfectly located in Long Branch on the Jersey Shore, this resort hotel has it all. Great pool, tiki bar, and ocean views. Cross the path right onto the beach to enjoy the sand and surf. Restaurant in property is OK. 2 minute walk to the shops and more restaurants. Be prepared to pay for all the convenience as this is one pricey place.

Very nicely decorated, clean, breakfast was very good with great selection. Staff were always helpful and willing to help. The shuttle was not the best I've had. The hours said open till 9 pm but twice we got back at 845 and could not book the next day as no one was on duty and we were not allowed to book ahead. There was a lot of tension at pick up locations as there was ALWAYS more people than seats. We were told we could pay the driver if we were not booked ahead, and as stated above, the office was not open till the hours stated. I felt sorry for the driver as he had to deal with irate people. We found another shuttle at the Super 8 that was half the cost and ALWAYS available, ALWAYS accommodated everyone and ran 24/7, which suited a couple nite tours we took that we would not have been able to with your shuttle as the last bus for your place was 10. Because of the shuttle issues, next time I will more than likely book at a place closer to the other shuttle service.

The room was very upscale and clean. No view, but I did not book a room with a view. When checking in, I stated that I did not want to pay for the wifi and spa because I would not use. The check in person stated that it was complimentary. Be aware that it is not. Everyone pays the $17.00 fee wether or not they us it. Parking cost a one time fee of $5.00 but you can come and go as you please if you are a hotel guest. You also get a voucher that can be used one time for free parking at any other casino.

My wife and I celebrated her early birthday in AC and we stayed at the Showboat. It was directly next door to where we were seeing Jersey Boys. The check in line was a bit long since it was 5 July and lots of check outs. Rumors of rooms not being ready spread through the long line, but was quickly dispelled when we got to the counter. The room was comfortable and had partial view of the ocean.

At first we were kinda peeved that Harrah’s wasn’t on the boardwalk, but after checking out all the hotels, we determined Harrah’s was by far the best. The pool/hot tub is amazing, they play much better music than the other casinos, and they offer free drinks while gambling - right from an electronic menu at your seat! Something that we took for granted until visiting the casinos on the boardwalk. Staff was pleasant and security made us feel safe at all times.

When I checked in, I was the first in line. There were 2 front desk agents, and one of them was assisting me, but started helping his co-worker who was checking in the lady who had walked up after me. I thought it was first come, first serve; especially when there was someone else helping the other/second person in line? The lady ended up being helped, and walked away, first while I was still waiting for the front desk clerk to finish checking me in. Needless to say, I was a perturbed. Also, we didn't have housekeeping service, even though we were automatically charged the resort fee/day. We would be gone the whole day & wouldn't come back until 5-6 pm. That was when the housekeepers just got around to our room - on all 3 days that we were there. By the time we got back to the hotel, we were so tired that we just wanted to rest in the hotel room, so we declined the housekeeping service. This is the 1st hotel stay ever that we received housekeeping service so late in the day.

Overall this is a good hotel. The condition of the room was great, and the proximity to New York City is a great. I do think that the staff could use a bit more customer service training.

Thin walls, but didn't spend much time in room. Key cards kept deactivating, had to go to front desk to get new at least three times (no, they weren't stored by credit cards or cellphone). Several machines were always out of ice. These were minor things. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable. Nice location on boardwalk. Trams and jitneys available. Great valet service. Jimmy at the bell captain station is the best! Many restaurants within hotel, and nearby. Some sketchy areas to avoid, especially do not go to at night. Hotel staff will advise.

Everything is good: staff at the front dest, check-in process, parking, facility and cleaniess. The bartender at hotel is racist. We ordered a bottle of wine, and what he only did was to bring the wine and empty glass and left. We literally self-service ourself by opening the wine and pouring it into the glasses. Additionally, he brought back the bill right after giving out the wine without asking if we want to close the bill. Furthermore, no napkins are served the whole time while other customers (all white people) all have napkins under their glasses. We are very disappointed at this bartender who is an elderly white man who discriminate his service against Asian.

They care enough to wish every guests a Happy New Year by knocking on each door n gave us a pack of chocolates. They really show the spirit of the festive season thru giving n caring. We also book a shuttle bus to JFK airport. It came on time & we didnt have to confirm anymore. The service is really gd. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my relatives n friends

It was confusing where parking garage to park in. Also, Wasn't happy about the $100 deposit fee when I already paid for the hotel and everything and also another fee after we checked out which was not happy about that! I am regular from New Jersey and I vacation in Wildwood, so I thought i would give Atlantic City a try. Overall the hotel was good, but I would pick Wildwood,NJ over anything because they don't charge me all these fees.

My stay at the Hyatt was s pleasure. I have no complaints. Clean rooms, comfortable mattress. My husband and I plan to make this hotel our go to in the future.

Love this hotel bed are super comfy and room had mini fridge which is really useful with little one. There is an additional room on ground floor that have microwaves which is useful! Good size gym but equipment definitely needs updating

We booked online last minute without much idea about what we were getting into. When we arrived, we were impressed by the charming building near the commuter train station and apparently near a bike path. The interior did not disappoint--it felt like old school charm. The room was very comfortable, and breakfast exceeded our expectations. We would definitely choose the Madison on any future visits to Morristown.

My class met for our 20 year reunion here at the Hotel. While checking in I found the hotel staff to be very friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean and nice, much closer to a four star. The garage parking was free. I would recommend this hotel.

I really loved staying here, we had a great view of NYC and the hotel provided a shuttle to the train station for us to get to the city. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was quiet and very accommodating.

I stayed here for two nights. The first night my shower handle came off while in a hot shower and I had to be transferred to another room. I had to move all my stuff quickly and I was there on a business trip. I had my AirPods and the day after my sudden move to another room they were no where to be found. The staff was not friendly or helpful with my situation and I believe they were stolen by the room cleaning staff. Would never stay here if I was paid to.

I was hoping to have a breakfast included in the price of the room. The previous hotel did this. Of course, I realize this could possibly increase the cost of the room but I hope not. Our children and grandchildren live nearby and we will return. Just a thought.........

not much to say except that this was my first stay in new jersey and this place really started me off on the wrong foot. food was right around the corner from my hotel, it is located next to journal square, if you forgot the basic bathroom necessities they would provide you with a replacement, and they have a complimentary shuttle bus to take you to and from the airport; free of charge. definitely will be back in a couple of months.

Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Room large and comfortable--and one of the biggest bathrooms in hotels of this size.

$200/night and no refrigerator or microwave. Room service food was ridiculously expensive and valet was $30. Bring the checkbook. Or stay at a Holiday Inn for half the price.

Our stay was fantastic. The location was great. Near everything. Hotel was clean and staff was so helpful. Our room was clean, roomy and amenities were newer. Parking was also a plus. It was included and plenty of spaces were available. We didn’t get breakfast but it looked amazing. Thank you, Lisette

The location was easy to get to, and the price was right for the time of year we visited. The breakfast smelled really good but we never got to eat it (not early risers). My only issue was that the bathroom is very small and the showerhead essentially gets water all over the floor which is hard to avoid. My husband also complained that the room seemed damp. Apart from this, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we needed to.

Great hotel with warm and caring staff. Feels like a home away from home. Location is great and shuttle service available when going out to the city. Hotel has a rustic feel but overall adds to its great charm. I will definitely go back the next time.

Everything about our experience was exceptional. Being about a 20 minute drive to Philly makes this hotel a prime location without paying Philly hotel prices. Room was great. Shower water pressure perfect and didn't have to fiddle with temperature control to get the right water temperature. Heater was spot on. It does get hot very quickly. Staff was supportive. The grounds are clean. I left a back pack in my room and received a call to let me know. Shopping is at an abundance also. From Cherry Hill Mall to Walmart to local restaurants, you will find what you're looking for. Highly recommended.

The Brigantine Inn's, aka Legacy Resort, best feature is it's location on the beach. ON THE BEACH, people for a reasonable price! Built in 1927, the facility retains it's art deco style with a variety of room/suite sizes suitable for couples or families. I choose the large queen efficiency which was spacious, had apartment size appliances. There is an indoor pool & gameroom, free coffee in the mornings, free parking. The neighborhood offers several stores, shops, & a playground within walking distace. The island has bike lanes. On the downside, 1920's size bathrooms are small. Parking is shared with a busy restaurant on site. Their parking attendants will move the dining patrons' cars to liberate your vehicle but don't expect a quick getaway if your car has been blocked. An effort has been made to make the hotel accessible but the accessible entrance is on the back side of the building & there are only 2 handicap parking places adjacent. But it's on the beach!

no there is no microwave, no refrigerator, no free breakfast but the rooms are huge, the bathroom is a walk-in shower with bigelow amenities, it is right across the street from new jersey transit train station, the community is up and coming, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, there's the new jersey transit bus 48 which you can take under the trestle of the train that will take you to the woodbridge mall - I even took a taxi to aviation plaza in linden which is a strip mall with stores and restaurants -
