Puerto Rico Island hotels & places to stay

This place was different level. The service was amazing. From the moment i stepped out of my Uber; every need was met with the utmost attention. Every single employee of this hotel deserves an award. They are all very well informed/trained and curated the most beautiful experience for my girlfriend and I. We will be back every time we visit puerto rico !

Place is great. They are renovating so the eating area was a little cramp. But its great...That is my go to hotel when I'm in Puerto Rico

The pool should be cleaned daily and the pool areas (plants) needs maintenance.. the water of the pool was not clear.. needs better maintenance. ..

Nothing but great things to say from the friendly staff, to the convenient location, to the yummy cuisine location inside the hotel, infinity pool and spacious hot tub....best stay in San Juan!

The Hyatt Bayamom was located about 20-30 minutes' ride from Condova, the busy beach city center. So with Uber it took me about $11-17 to go to old San Juan or Condova. Because it was a holiday season, we paid about $290 per night including taxes ($250, the rate only). It was relatively easy to get Uber to get around, and there is free trolley to get around in Bayamon area. Unfortunetely when we were there, the science museum right next to the hotel was closed, so there was not so much for us to enjoy in the vincinity. Over all, the staff was very kind and the hotel was clean, but because of the location, if I go to Puerto Rico again I would prefer to find a hotel in Condova area where it is easier to walk around and there are so many fine restaurants to go.

This resort certainly is beautiful. Rooms and all the facilities were lovely. It’s very remote which is tough — a one way trip from the airport added $80 to the already expensive stay. I really wished there was an all inclusive package. Not sure at all why there isn’t. I would understand having some of the restaurants as restrictions but the bars certainly could participate in an all inclusive package. It’d bring a much better value in my opinion. Staying at this resort you veryyy quickly rack up a hefty tab which would inhibit me from staying there of my own accord in the future — was staying there for a wedding this time around.

Great location if you want the feel of old town Puerto Rico many places to eat and shop at by walking you will love the food and people weather is great can not tell you any thing that you would not like. will come back soon.

The hotel was full as it was the US spring break (hence expensive) yet it was reasonably quiet. Rooms were large with comfortable beds and good furnishings. Varied items for breakfast including hot items and very good. Location is good being very close to the airport and although you can hear the planes from the pool deck the soundproofing inside the hotel is very good and there was no problems with sleeping. Good range of restaurants in the near vicinity. Staff were helpful both with minor enquiries and with directions - desk was always manned. Hotel also has self service laundry which is a bonus.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff is constantly cleaning, which I have never seen in any other hotel. The pool by the main hotel is excellent, but if you take a short free shuttle ride to the Golf course, you get a much more spacious pool and less crowded. The hotel is near the beach, but the beach is not one to really swim in, but one to enjoy the view of. The buffet on-site is very good and worth the price. There is a trail just outside of the hotel for those who like running or biking. The gym on-site is worth a visit and have plenty of equipment.

Great place for a relaxing time, yet its got many things to do. From Kayaking, Paddleboard, to laying at one of their beach gazebos, catching a ride to Gilligans island on their private boat. Gilligans is beautiful! The common grounds are gorgeous! Super clean and the staff gets 5 stars on hospitality. Everyone was so nice and attentive. The rooms are big and very clean. In my opinion the bathrooms need a little update but it is still a great room. The food options are good. Great place to relax and detach.

Good for the price but need to improve the humidity issue in the rooms. The rooms in the main buildings are ok and spacious.

I Stay a Wekeend, Great Place if you gone vist center and nort island. They are very close to recibo, Ouletts in barceloneta caverns of camuy, running horses in manatí beach and to visit cave window, to know a little bit of Puerto Rican culture in Arecibo Lighthouse or to jump in parachute.

Horrible. The staff is so rude, it seems like they actually are trying to make you feel unwelcome. Don't buy drinks there, WAY overpriced and Walgreens is around the corner. Or better yet, stay somewhere else.

We stayed on two separate occasions during the course of one week. I had written in earlier about my disappointment with my first night there, but in my earlier comments I had even forgotten to mention that not only was the breakfast poor, we had paid on average US$200-250/night and could bearly sleep since we were kept up my music and what sounded like a nightclub nearby. Although we returned at the end of the week and were quite pleased that at check in someone kindly asked us about our comment about the breakfast (at least it had been noticed!), it didn't seem to make any difference at all. Unfortunately, nothing changed. Worse of all, we ended up finding a dirty fork in the 'clean' utensils box. I guess if we had paid much less, it would not have mattered, but paying over US$200 for a night, one would expect much more! Despite all this, we still had a wonderful time in Puerto Rico!! I would suggest spending more of your time in Isla Culebra and El Yunque, which is what we did!!

Updated room photos needed. Booked a king bed, received two full beds, staff stated they were out of king beds. I had to be moved to another room since the ceiling in my original one was leaking. I was also charged a resort fee at the hotel yet when I booked through Agoda that showed as part of the fees when reservation was paid in full. I will be calling to obtain credit. Breakfast provided was great though. Lots of variety

Only downfall was the coffee, very weak no alternatives, had to take a Uber to Get a good cappuccino or latte. I would only go back there if they got a good expresso machine like the Marriott casino in Condado.

It was a great place. I will stay here again. The rooms are very comfortable. Loved the casino. Loved sitting outside. And using the pool. I was very happy with it. The service was good the staff was awesome.

We stayed for 1 night and it was fine, small rooms but the place has character, everything a little old but not bad at all, the a/c made alot of noise but wasn't really a issue, the bar was cool but was right next to our room although noise wasn't an issue (apart from a/c), couldn't get the television to receive a good enough picture to watch which was a bit annoying, its a pricey area and for what it costs you would expect more but i don't dislike the place and it was one of the cheaper options. Staff were super helpful and all in all I give it 3 stars

Let's be frank. It is truly regrettable the fact that unless you pay $18.95 for indoor parking or $25 for Valet parking, you would have a hell of a time to park your rental. If you decide not to have a rental, using taxies is prohibitive. This was the warm welcome we got when we arrived at the hotel. The room was great up to Friday when we got a surprise. The room was not fixed up, trash was still in the trash cans, and we had to contact the front desk to get it done. The two employees that went over and beyond their duties. If I had to stay again in a hotel in PR, it will definitively not be The Condado Plaza Hilton.

this hotel has a great location on the beach and on isla verde. however, our room that costs us more than a night had no refrigerator/bar and no plama tv. the bed was comfortable and the sheets were very clean. the restroom was kind of small and poorly equiped for a hotel of this status. we arrived at the hotel at 10pm but the hotel personnel was very friendly and very helpful at the reception, that includes the vallet parking and the personnel at the front desk.

The hotel had a pool and hot tub which made the stay very positive. The front desk staff were awesome. Special thanks to Scarlet who was super helpful. The facilities were acceptable. The only complaint was that breakfast was a little crowded at times and the food was sometimes dry. The location and price were excellent.

We only spent one night in Ponce and it turned out this was a great location in the heart of the old historic district.

We were very disappointed in the quality of the shower. You could not maintain water pressure or temperature. Everything else was great. The staff was nice. Our room had a good view. Felt the hotel charged a larger fee but delivered less than the quality such a fee should cover.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The employees were great and the hammocks by the pool were so nice. We only wish we had stayed longer.

The location of the hotel was good. More than enough bars and restaurants within walking distance. But didn't have to leave the property to have fun at night. Casino on site was fun. There was a sports bar that showed all the football games on Sunday and the lounge was hopping on Saturday night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service came in a reasonable time and the food was good. I thought the price on comparison with other hotels was good and I would go back again.

Great experience, a little small (especially the bathroom) but otherwise great. Staff was great. Rich offered plenty of help and even took us out to a local drum music event. Great service~

Staying at the Hilton was very exciting. Its the dandy among hotels in Puerto Rico. Service was goos. My only regret was not getting senoir discounts. Beds were very comfortable. Very rich look.

Overall, very good. You cannot beat the location- the beach, convenience stores, restaurants and bars are only a step away and you are paying much less than the vast majority of hotels in the area. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast, however, was underwhelming and the walls are a bit thin with the rooms being so close together. Thus noisy guests can sometimes be a problem. Those things, however, won't stop me from staying again!
