A good place if u choose to be a Robinson :P”
If you are looking for a place that can keep the modern life away. No crowds, no noise, no hi-tech, no social networks, no wifi. You should know your bungalows are truly basic, and ALL facilities you have in your bungalow are 3-small-bulbs. (Yes, it's a lil dark, I wished it had more ways to get nature light). But if u already prepared n chose to be a Robinson, this place just fit! All the beach is yours! Crystal waters, yellow sands, waves biggers than in Sacaren Bay. Birds singing in daylight n frogs croaking at night lol. Staffs very nice n willing to help. Beach front, just lie down reading some books, sleep or just doing nothing! Nothing else would bother you in this wild world.

Not all facilities available”
I'm sure they'll all be available soon, but when we stayed, the kitchen was limited (hours and menu) and the covered sitting area was closed. If it wasn't raining, it would have been fine to sit in the multiple non-covered areas, but since it was raining, there was minimal space to sit that wasn't in the rain (we stayed in a tent, not a bungalow, so no private outdoor sitting space). The staff were outstanding and accommodating!

Very good”
We happened to visit all the major beaches and found this to be the one most to our liking as there were no noisy tourists or loud music. Quiet and relaxing. Good and affordable food. Bigger (more fun?) waves than the lagoon. If arriving at main dock it is a 30 min hike through mixed and sometimes quite steep terrain. Good choice if you don't need air-con and are exited about nature and cute tokay gekkos.

Not worth the money”
From our point of view this resort is overrated and not worth the money. We are used to rustical bungalows but 60 Dollar for a very rustical and dark bungalow (Kikki lu) is much to high! We had strong rainfalls during our stay and as the roof was leaking our bed was wet. The staff wasn't really interested as we told them. We also had Gecko shit on our clothes and a snake in our bathroom so bear in mind that you are really in the wilderness. We would not recommend the resort and location for families, maybe for people who really searching for an adventure, but in our opinion not for this price.

The beach is clean and uncrowded. The food is good. The ambiance is perfect. The snorkeling is out of this world. The bioluminescent plankton tour was incredible! We loved everything about our stay. But, be on the lookout for snakes.

Lovely bungalow right on the beach, lovely staff and service. Note that Robinson’s own slow boat does not drop you back at the pier the fast boats leave from - we weren’t told this beforehand, so were surprised by a slight mission to get back to our hotel!

worth the hike in. loved it!”
Clean beautiful beach and great staff. Even though the bungalows were completely booked it was still very quiet. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and they were the best we used on both islands. There's also a new bar where you can watch the sunset. Overall, I wish I skipped Koh Rong and just booked our entire stay here. If you want seclusion, relaxation, and can handle a 40 minute hike in with packs on, this is the place for you. We loved it.

Nice location poor staff”
The walk through the jungle to this place shouldn't be underestimated, it's not just a stroll through the jungle it's more of a trek which includes some rock climbing. I wouldn't advise unless you're in fairly good physical shape and carrying a suitcase is a big no no, backpacks only and bring plenty of water! The bungalows/ tents are situated just off the beach and are nice however very basic although you should expect that when heading to Koh Rong Salome. They also have a restaurant which serves fairly good food at the standard inflated island rate although each restaurant is the same. Overall we had a relatively good stay given the resources of the island, the only two complaints I had was there could have been more toilets/they were a bit of a walk from some rooms especially at night and staff were not particularly friendly and they seemed reluctant to speak or serve customers.

Isolated Paradise”
We loved Sunset Beach, it was by far one of the best maintained beaches in Cambodia. Our bungalow was nice but very basic. We had to ask twice to get a new battery so we could have light in the bungalow. We also stayed for more than 3 nights and were disappointed that nobody came to clear out our rubbish bins. We thought the food and ambiance of Robinson was much more laid back than other places along sunset beach, and we enjoyed sitting in the common room playing games, reading, and cuddling with the very cute cats. There is no wifi. We highly recommend this to people looking for a rustic getaway in a really beautiful part of the island. (Just be prepared to share a bungalow with lots of creatures- all harmless of course!)

Grigory🙏 thanks for your kind words and so great to read you enjoyed our food that much. We always work on the menu trying to adapt our kitchen to what our guests like, always inspired by the traditional Cambodian cuisine (which we do love as well). Always safe travels.

Beautful beach, lovely staff, very basic bungalow”
Location, staff, food
We enjoyed our time at Robinson's, sunset beach where it is located is absolutely stunning, a place to completely switch off from the world. The bungalows are very basic and can be quite a walk from the shared bathrooms but this is similar at all accommodation on the beach.

Martin, thanks for your feedback and sharing your island experience with other travelers. :) It always makes a smile to read / hear our guests had such a good time ( as we do :) ). Sorry we made you walk to the toilets a few more meter the other day ... We have now built a few new bungalows with a shared bathroom just next to it ... Next time you come out, we even promise you the one that is the closest to it. Just shout out :)

Untended”
Food and fried lu waitress
We didn't expect a lot. Just a nice quiet place in the nature with a CLEAN beach. But what did we get? The bungalows were nice a fairly clean but the surrounding was untended and awe full! The beach was just a pile of dirt nobody felt in charge of cleaning! The water wasn't working so they gave us 2 buckets of water to clean ourselves... It was a very unpleasant stay. On the same beach there is Huba Huba house. They offer you a lot more comfort for the same price. To not be unfair the owner was not around so maybe that was a reason they didn't take much care about the property! They spend more time on hanging out then doing something!

Eat the fried pineapple! Snorkel under the bridge!”
The food, lovely service and of course the spectacular, quiet beach!
We had a great stay! The trek was a fab challenge to get the adrenalin going and you get to see all the beautiful jungle flora and fauna on the way! The new hut 'Kikky Lu' was a divine bungalow with two hammocks in the veranda! Great little clean new bathroom. The fried pineapple was to die or with either honey or Nutella to dip into! The dogs and cats were so cute and we felt very welcome and homely as the staff were super friendly!

Rustic and remote bungalow”
Location, natural surrounds, beautiful beach
Firstly, the bungalows at Robinson are very basic, so do not expect any frills. In fact when I stayed there, there was no electricity in the bungalow, only a candle. The location is why you go to Robinson. It's located on a beautiful beach with amazing sunsets. A few things to take note of: The mosquito net they provide is fine however ants still came onto my bed and bit me. Bring some citronella candle as there may not be any electricity running in your bungalow (they do have a generator in the dining hall) and the mosquitos can get quite bad in the afternoon. Lastly, the 45 min walk from the jetty to Robinson is not easy. Hence I would only bring a small bag to carry as you have to climb a small hill to get there.
