Tallinn Old Town hotels & places to stay

Relatively quiet area in the old town, but these buildings are so famous that many tourists take pictures from the street. It's a bit noisy in the morning. If you don't mind it, this location is excellent. You don't need so much suffering from bumpy streets in the old town with heavy luggage if you come from the ferry terminal on foot. Though taking a taxi is better access. Anyway, helpful staff, the unique and comfortable suit room and good breakfast provided an excellent experience in Tallinn!

The view is superb! The WiFi didn’t work at first but the staff (manager Sandra) was helpful and she came to my apartment to fix the issue. Everything was great. Will definitely visit again if I come back to Tallinn

Very good apartment located uphill near Toompea. The apartment has 2 floor with fully function kitchen, big rooms, 2 bathroom. Big family room.Very recommended for staying while in Tallinn

Pros: it’s close to all the best restaurants and attractions that Tallinn Old Town has to offer! It’s just opposite Tallinn Tourist Information Centre!! Cons: need a safety deposit box.

This place is so central,it is fantastic.The staff only got 4 stars ,because I did not interact with anyone other than in the check in process. The only drawback to the Villa is the stairs ,if you can handle those ,go for it .I would go back there.

I stayed there few days with my nephew (10 years old). We booked the room with the city view. The room was spacious. The small kitchen had everything we needed. It is right in the city center. Great stay in Tallinn! Good value for money.

The concept and design of hotel space is great taste. Room is clean and new. Love the restaurant and indoor pool atmosphere. Helpful staffs. Quality lovely breakfast for start up my morning in Tallinn. Recommended!

I chose this hotel becouse in the last time we had stayed in the center of Tallinn and it was more comfortable than othe areas. We liked this hotel. Everything was nice: very good location, normal breakfast (7-10 am), very good soundproofig, nice beds.| We didnt use spa and sport complexes because we wanted to walk in the city and had no time, but it was included (6-10 am). You need to pay for that if you would like to use it another time. If you back to the hotel after midnight you need to use anothe door and call to reception. Would like to stay in this hotel again and can recommend it to my friends.

There's very nice staff introducing me about what to see in Tallinn with very great smile, and fluent English. There had a self-made walking map for tourists. It's very close to the entrance of the Tallinn old town. The room is very clean and tidy. The only bad thing is there was no elevator in the building.

Hotel was a very quaint old building (boutique style hotel)located right in the centre of Tallinn Old City. Rooms were good, large & equipped with all basic requirements including free internet access, the only thing missing was coffee making facilities in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only had breakfast in hotel which was more than acceptable in quality. Note that hotel is situated in the pedestrian only part of the old city which meant that we had to walk +/- 200m from nearest taxi access, only a slight problem, if like us, were on an extended holiday with three largish suitcases. Generally very good value for money.

This relatively small hotel is located in an old converted merchants house where you can feel the history of the city. Fantastic rooms have incorporated period features and retain the character of Europe from the 17th/18th century. Nevetheless the hotel has been updated to be equipped with all modern feature required. Ideal location for browsing in the old town of Tallinn.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a large room with TV (mostly Russian, but could still watch football!), and a large bathroom with bath and shower. The internet worked fine and there was a table, chairs and wardrobe too. There is a nice dining/sitting room, with some books to read. The location was amazing, a few minutes walk from the main square. The only downside was it being located next to a nightclub. If you are a light sleeper, then maybe the drunken foreigners stumbling onto the streets at 4am will wake you up. For us, it wasn't a huge problem. Also, wherever you stay in the Old Town, you will have this problem. Breakfast was good. We always had cereal, bread/toast with 2 types of meat, cheese, yoghurt, fruit and biscuits. There was orange juice, milk, tea and coffee. The tea and coffee was available all day for free. Reception isn't usually open. They just come to check you in. We left our keys in the room when we left. For us, this was not a problem at all. Actually, it made it feel like it was more homely. I would certainly stay here again.

Good facilities and staff was friendly. HOWEVER, I hate it that they don't care if the guests have to wait for them outside whereas they themselves are not willing to wait - they make sure they arrive after you. Even if you told them in advance that you are arriving earlier! Not something a guest would appreciate after getting off a flight -

I stayed at Pikk 49 with my wife and (adult) daughter. Pikk 49 is an apartment block, not a hotel. We stayed in the STUDIO apartment and it was huge and plenty of wardrobe space to hang your clothes. It's fully self contained with TV, fridge, washing machine, oven etc and wifi. It's superbly located, close to the old city square, but far enough away not to be disturbed by party goers. There are no staff located at the apartments, so make sure you set a time to meet the owner to get hold of the keys!

The apartment really is very nice and well located in the heart of the Old Town. It has a lot of character. Indeed a pleasant place to stay. However, what made our stay not perfect is the poor performance by Agoda. When we made the booking, Agoda didn't give us the details of the owner. No phone number, no email address. So, when we got there with our heavy bags all that we found was a locked main door of an apartment building. Luckily I happened to have roaming on my phone (which most of the time is NOT the case on our travels!) and I was able to make a call to Agoda in the UK number. After a 9 min 50 sec international call Agoda attendant gave me the telephone number of the owner of the apartment - which happened to be a wrong number! Then I tried to google a number for the apartment owner with the name of the apartment (luckily I managed to find a free wifi) - and again I got the wrong number! At the end, a few hours later, when we once more came to check the place, we purely by accident happened to bump into the owner who had come to check out the place, and she let us in. The owner said she had my number and that she had tried to call me once - for whatever reason there was no trace of that on my phone. And in any case, Agoda should have provided the owner my email address for communication, because it really is extremely seldom that I use a phone on my travels whereas email everybody check frequently.

The stay was really pleasant without any disturbances. You can find all needed in the place ! Still Daily Apartments has something wrong with their payment terminal or system, which did not accept Nordea Master Card although no problem with the card itself !! ????

This place does not have a bed! It has a sofa that is supposed to be a sofa bed, however, it isn't even and there are sheer blinds, so if you are thinking of sleeping here, forget it! You can try and sleep on a sofa and wake up at first light. The place is in a really great location and it is renovated very nicely, just not for sleeping.

The room was basic the staff unfriendly and we had to pay extra for two people even with no breakfast included, wouldn’t recommend in any way

Apartment just as shown in photos, great location in old town, friendly staff, highly recommand and would come again.

Our family of four stayed at this apartment for 4 nights in Aug 2017. We had a great time. The manager Katja was on time to meet us and give us the keys, and gave a detailed explanation of where everything was and how it all worked. When we found that our electrical adaptor was not working, she specially came the next day to lend us one, which we are very grateful for. The apartment is spacious, clean and has a well equiped kitchen. Its location is right in the middle of town and very convenient for restaurants and sightseeing. The only downside is that it is right above a noisy bar, which was a bit disruptive when we tried to put our children to sleep. Other than that, we had a fabulous stay at the apartment and would recommend it.
