Lovely place”
We fell in love with place, the room is huge, and the scenic view especially at night. The place is far but we love the location. The staff are friendly and helpful. You just need to know some Chinese to talk to them. They speak little English. Nevertheless, we had a really a great time and will definitely stay again.

Good hotel at the entrance of national park Taroko”
If you are planning to rent a car or scooter to discover Taroko gorge then this hotel will be a great option for you. It is located in the quiet place on the bank of the river. Hotel is offering a home-made Taiwanese style breakfasts (congee, stewed veggies), fresh coffee and tea. It's a new hotel with big rooms. Hotel is offering bikes for renting for free. The only disadvantage is that there is nothing around. Hotel suits to those people who come to Taroko gorge. If you plan to go to Huailen, you need to drive for 40 mins.

Great place!”
It's one of the best affordable hotels I've stayed in Taiwan. The location is perfect if your main purpose in Hualian is to visit the gores. The personal is nice and friendly. The rooms are clean and you can use the hotel bicycles for free.

Just a place to sleep. Not much like a hotel”
Hotel staff was very very nice and service minded
At first we did not plan to stay here. But due to our booking at Yu Homestay at Taroko was unexpectedly cancelled at the time of arrival despite having the booking confirmation (reasoned no room available), Taroko Delight was the only choice to choose and Agoda agreed to transfer our booking to. Taroko Delight - room condition was ok. Bedding was clean and tidy. Hot shower was available, but water temperature was unstable that it kept changing between very hot and very cold. There was wifi in lobby, but not usable in the room. Hotel does not provide dinner and there was no restaurant in hotel or in walking distance. Breakfast, sandwich and coffee/tea provided - no buffet. The hotel was very empty and there was only one staff doing everything from picking up from bus stop, driving us to dinner, giving tour advice, preparing breakfast, etc (really only 1 staff and really does everything). All in all, it was more like a room to sleep and go, not much of a hotel with service. Anyway, the only staff we got service from was very very nice and service-minded. Have to thank him for his good work which actually made our day easier at the hotel.

Comfortable bnb ”
The owners/staff are extremely kind and helpful. Property is very clean and comfortable. The room is very spacious.
I stayed here three nights with a friend and it was a memorable experience. The property is well kept and close the gorge. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The breakfast is very nice and fresh and in the afternoon they serve coffee/tea and some snacks. The best thing about this place though is the people. Despite a huge lanaguage barrier the owners/staff made us feel very welcome and looked after. They were extremely kind and even invited us to eat with them one evening after a long day hiking and cycling. The property is couple of kilometres from restaurants and shops but it is possible to borrow bikes to cycle to town. The hotel can also arrange trips into the gorge, although we were not aware of this before we had arrived and already had alternative plans. I'd recommend staying here!

Clean Homestay ”
Close the gorges and clean
It is a Homestay that is close to the entrance of the gorge. It has few rooms and the decoration is pretty strange (more like European French Versailles style) compared to the environment. But it is rather clean. With tables and benches outside. Bikes you can pick up and ride. The owners don't speaks English.

Quiet and peaceful”
Quiet, nice setting, bicycles
It was refreshing, quiet and good to be alone or have romantic couple time. The staff were very friendly, but it was quite a distance from anything else. Had to cycle to get dinner and food.

Great hospitality”
Great service, clean rooms, nice facility
Staff picked us up from train station, settled us into our double room which was very clean and spacious - biggest room we had on our entire trip. We also used their bikes to ride around the area - especially across the bridge to buy mochi. On the following morning, a sumptuous breakfast was prepared for us consisting of fried noodles & egg, steamed buns and hot tea. As there were leftover buns, the lady helpfully packed it up for us to take along on our trip to Taroko Gorge. Room & toilet were spick and span - service left us most impressed among all the stays we had in Taiwan. Would definitely stay here again when I next visit Taroko Gorge. Half an hour's drive from Hualien City, not much food in the area.

A great family-run hotel”
good location, nice view, helpful staff
This is a new family run hotel. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are decorated in a funky baroque style. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the Taroko park. Getting there might be difficult if you do not have a car. But there's plentiful of taxis at train stations and other tourist sites. Overall it is a good value.

Perfect”
Near Taroko National Park, friendly staff and quiet location
Our decision to stay at this hotel was just right. Location is just perfect. Far from the stinky and noisy China tour buses yet so near. It is only 5 minutes from the park by hotel shuttle. The villa was peaceful and clean. You can smell the fresh air coming from the mountains. Staff "Achie" was cool and drove us around for food and a bit of shopping. It was a pleasure staying at Taroko Delight Villa and will stay here again.
