Basic but good!”
Just used this as a one night stopgap before getting an apartment and it was great - very good location near to maya and all the local resturants. Staff were friendly and helpful, and room was just a bed in a box - but if that's all you need - you won't be disappointed.

Bare Necessities”
I was working out of CAMP so the location was as good as it gets. The beds are hard but nice pillows. There is construction going on across the street 7 days a week (Feb 2017) so it's loud early in the morning which is fine if you're up and out, but i was working late nights through a 12-hr time difference making it hard to sleep in the morning. The owner took care of my laundry for me which was great.

เดินทางสะดวก อยู่ในนิมมาน / easy in and out, located right in Nimman area”
You can deposit your bags here before your check-in time.(9.00 am onward) They use ventilation fan to suck in the cool air from the corridor. Cool! The staff will be on duty until 11.00 pm. Gonna come back.

No full-time staff, you have to call him and wait”
Went there around 6pm. He went out for dinner and I have to wait for an hour before be able to getting in. (The door is locked and no place to sit outside. Have to go to a cafe nearby.) Very good location, just on Nimmanhemin Road near Rinkham intersection, where you have access to almost everything. Warned you that in 2016 there are big constructions going on just opposite the hostel.

Great location, great price, great staff!”
Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is absolutely it's main advantage. Bathrooms could be cleaner. They are not maintained on a daily basis. I stayed for ten days, and throughout my stay, the bathroom was cleaned once perhaps twice. Beds, pillows, and sheets are clean. There are amenities to share such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower gel, as well as tea and coffee. There is a fridge that you can use to store food and a washing machine for use. As mentioned before, they have a very clever ventilation system for each room. A/C is turned on every night. One negative point for me is that these rooms are extremely tiny. It is just the bed and then some. That is all. There is no place to open your suitcase. This is ideal for those who travel light. This place has its strong pros and cons. All in all, I would recommend this place for people who are either just passing through or who simply need a place to stay.

Good for a couple of days ”
If you have just a backpack it is good, the rooms are insanely small (just the size of the bed + 40cm) and there is no place for anything else other than you. However I staid there for 3 nights and was ok. The staff is super friendly and nice, they have towels, shampoo, shower gel, wash machine, water, tea and coffee. I won't mind to come back there.

bad toilet”
location
The hostel locates at a very convenient location (nimman soi 1) not far from the front of soi. The room (2-bunk bed) is very small which I'm okay with it but for those who have a big luggage may find it hard to place your belongings. I got the lower bed and it has 2 plugs for battery charging. At 4th floor, WIFI is really poor. And the toilet is very dirty.

Uncomfortable bed, dirty and loud”
Location
Not much to day about this place. Smelled of smoke. Broken shower. Very hard beds. A group were being very loud while I was there and when I asked them to lower their voices they went screaming through the halls. Not sure where the hostel staff were. I wouldn't return to this place.

good choice for budgeted trip”
pricing, location, staff friendliness
I really have to commend this place of it's ventilation design, I think it was quite clever that each room had their own fan that would suck air from the corridor into the rooms, and at night Woody or Kard (Hostel owners) or somebody (guest? not sure, I couldn't find the AC remote anywhere and didn't have the chance to ask about it) would turn on the AC at night so it's actually quite cozy to sleep at night, I was really impress with this. I went to Chiang Mai for a workshop so wasn't in the hostel most of the time but have met Woody and Kard, and yes, they are as friendly as other reviews had written. The place was clean, nothing much to complain about. Although I did have a split second of being freaked out by the cartoon shadow figure painted on the staircase while I was brushing my teeth at night, but it's no biggy, I scare easy anyways. This is my first time staying at a hostel and it was a pleasant experience, the place felt safe and the location was in a busy area with easy access to food, and there was electric sockets next to the bed which of course is an essential. I stayed at this hostel during low season though and according to Kard there were only two other guest during my stay, so I'm not sure how it would have been if the place was packed during high season. Overall good experience.

Woody, Location, Cleaness
It was totally great stay. A well located hostel with great value. It is one of the closest hostel to the Maya shopping mall and a chick area called Nimmanhaemin. If you are going to stay in Chiang mai more than a week. I would recommend you to stay in this area. You will get better restaurants and cafes than old city area. The host Woody is the best part of this hostel. He is a smart, kind and easy going guy who knows what a traveler needs.
