Quite and relaxing ”
Always get a good sleep here. A short, free ferry ride from Central Station. It’s nice and relaxing staying on the water away from hustle and bustle of city centre.

Amsterdam gem”
Quirky little stay in a quiet location with a free ferry. Winner! FYI - tiny boat cabin bathrooms for the larger traveller could be a problem.

Very good”
First time to stay in a boat-hotel! Location was very convenient. So easy to get to the main station via a 10-min ferry ride. Our room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was small, needs some upgrading and repairs, but was fine for us.

Great place to stay and in a perfect location, the ferry taking you to the center every 20 min, it’s perfect. Staff are friendly. Overall, lovely hotel and will stay again in a couple of months

Quiet and comfortable”
The Botel offers a slightly different 'hotel' experience. If coming from Central Station it is a short free ferry ride from the centre, takes about 10 minutes to get from central dock to the north dock, where the Hotel is a 5 minute walk from. The room is clean, and comfortable. It is quiet, being located outside the city. Regular check in is 3 pm, but I was able to check in earlier as a room was ready and available. Check out is 11 am. Bathroom is a little tight for space, but then again this is a cabin in a boat. It is functional and clean. I had a great 'catch up' sleep here which I really needed to re-charge the batteries. I think the Botel offers good value for money, when compared to staying in Amsterdam Central.

Simple hotel. Ok. Rude receptionist ”
You get what you payed, very simple. I was not happy having to wait for the boat to go and come back from Amsterdam. Next time I’m not choosing this Hotel, however, my son loved to sleep on a boat. Good room, hot water and ok beds. Didn’t have the breakfast

Nice stay”
Very nice accomodation, rooms are clean, perfect locality, 50 m from pier that take you to the centraal station which is in the centre od the city. Breakfast is included, should be more diverse, but it’s ok.

The view ”
The hotel location was good! You can ride the ferry for free to and from Amsterdam centraal station to access everywhere in Amsterdam. Very convenient. The hotel staff was ok but not the lady who check us in, she looks like an Asian but speakin Dutch. I always come up to the deck of the hotel boat to see the view of Amsterdam and there's a bar and a restaurant close to the hotel servin a very nice meal!

Cheap and Cheerful but fairly basic”
Nice idea, quirky place to stay and different but you get a very basic hotel. Rooms are very minimal - clean enough but very plain. Beds comfortable enough though so does what you need it to do. Reception were very pleasent. Breakfast included but very poor! Unless you just want eggs or toast. We went elsewhere after the 1st day. Hotel really easy to get to using the Ferry and this was a nice start and finish to each day.

Decent hotel”
For the given price (around £45 per night), I would say this was good hotel as it includes breakfast as well ! The Botel is located on the other side of backwaters from Central. There is a free ferry service which is run by GVB (Amsterdam local transport) every 30 minutes... In peak hours it runs every 15 minutes... It takes around 12 minutes to go from Central station to NDSM Werf... From that place it is just 1 min walk... The stop is right next to Botel... Please be careful to take the correct ferry as there are ferry services to other places as well (I took a wrong ferry and had to return to Central and take the correct one on first day). Breakfast is decent... The only problem is that the self-service area is too small for 100s of guests.. Often we need to wait 5-10 mins just to toast the breads! They have to consider expanding this! Staff were continously refilling the food, so that was not a problem.. Luggage storage room is right next to reception and it was locked by the staff and opened only when you had to access.. I left my luggage there on last day and had no issues.. Bed size is decent.. but the bathroom is really .. really small... considering that most of us spend few nights, it should be manageable.. Some of the staff are friendly and some of them don't even smile.. so can't really comment on this..

Room basic but OK, TV didn't work and lights were very temperamental. Tiny bathroom and shower. Receptionist rude and not very helpful when trying to locate a lost passport. Good location, just a short ferry ride away from central Amsterdam.

Good to be on a boat, but other than that…”
we booked the discounted rate via Agoda for a double room. Yet a twin room was given. As we were tired, and it was only for a night, we didn't care much and rested. Staff was in general friendly and helpful. Although there are occasions there's nobody at the reception. Being on boat and have the slight swings was quite comfortable. Yet it got quite noisy as of somebody was fixing sth/ scratching metal at 7/8am. The shower head looks quite lousy but had surprisingly high water pressure. But the toilet wasn't quite clean, and there's absolutely zero bathroom amenities except 2 rolls of toilet paper and 2 disposable cups. Towels look quite clean though. The botel is right next to pier for ferry back to centraal station, I find it quite convenient. there's a breakfast/coffee/bar place right next to the pier as well, that was such a nice place. I think this place is good for staying for 1 night or 2.

Wonderful”
The boatel is a fabulous place to stay: Excellent value for money and a great location. The rooms are small but adequate for a city centre break where you know you are going to be out and about most of the time. Plentiful continental breakfast buffet sets you up well for a day out and about. We would definitely return as this is a second stay with over 10 years apart, but still represents good value x
