"First time staying over in Chalambar Motel. The motel is located just a short drive away from the Ararat CBD. Comfortable room with all basic amenities such as air conditioner/heater, shower, toilet, microwave, kettle, television, wireless internet, comfortable bed, tables and chairs. I am grateful that I've been given a room with a nice big bed for the night during check in. The check in process is straightforward and hassle free. The toilet area together with the shower is a bit small. Otherwise it's a comfortable stay overnight. Happy to stay again."

"We had a warm welcome and were nicely surprised with an upgrade for our cabin. The cabin was spotless, modern and well appointed. We had a very comfortable overnight stay and were able to head out very early the next day as planned without any hassle. The noise from the highway and the odd train could bother some people but it didn’t bother us at all. Would absolutely choose to stay again and explore the area properly. "

Note that plates and cutlery need to be requested and collected from reception, otherwise the standard mugs and glasses are provided in the room along with a toaster and microwave. Woollies is directly across the road. A large Target shop also on adjacent High St."
