Seeing both the Banaue Rice Terraces and Batad rice terraces were great. Highly recommend this area and recommend that you hike in the terraces rather than just viewing them from the view points.
You need at least 3 days in this place to visit all the amazing places this city has to offer. I said 3 days because you also have to rest because going to these amazing places needs trekking.
It was a fun experience and I will surely come back for another visit!
Had the opportunity to pass through the town years ago, therefore, my recent visit is my 2nd time. Like any other place in the world, development and progress cannot be avoided.
I'd prefer the old town when there were few homes and few people.
Ask information at tourist information. Ask for a ride to people outside tourist information so that you can take discounted price because of no commission.
Not an inspiring city as such, but unpolluted air, clean water. Sadly, locals chew MOMA and spit the red juice out at every opportunity.
Disgusting. Where I come from, spitting is against the law. There are Ifugao villages nearby, with the obligatory locals done up like dogs' dinners in traditional costume just for the tourists. Yuk. Not at all natural. Try to find a tricycle driver with a friendly face and get some real background. Give Milair a call: 09286577591 - he'll help you. Very obliging!
Nice to see BANAUE RICE TERRACES and if you have time to go to BATAD Rice Terraces but you have to be fit to go there.
It's worth the visit.
Little bit stinky and dusty city. Noisy tricycles everywhere. But it is Banaue. City on cross roads..
. Enjoy their surrounding by rice terraces. Visit village Batad. That's reason to stay here.
