Bergen hotels & places to stay

The building is relatively old, it can be seen from the grey color of hotel's outer wall. The furniture in the lobby looks old. But, the room is very comfortable and clean. Besides that, the location of hotel is very center, one can discover Bergen only within one day. The breakfast is very delicious. Finally, the price is relatively cheaper than other similar hotels in Bergen.

Very close to all attractions in Bergen. Staff friendly and helpful and loved that they stored luggage for free. Something rare in Norway

The hotel is conveniently located next the Bergen train station. Our room was in the newly renovated Villa building and was a perfect example of modern Scandinavian elegance and simplicity. Shampoo and body wash were the best I've ever used in any hotel. The slate bathroom floor was heated! The included breakfast buffet was excellent. This hotel was a great value for the money! Especially for those travelers starting fjord tours from Bergen, you won't better than Grand Terminus.

The staff was helpful in helping us find the location of the apartment, which requires exact address (if not taxi drivers would not be able to get there). It is an apartment, therefore there are rules to follow such as no use of washing machine after a certain time. And because it is not a specified service apartment, cleaning is not everyday (unless you ask for it & pay additional), it is also not a traditional check-in counter. Staff is very friendly, the means of communication is through digital (e-mail / if you have a local number) however if you are a tourist, need to make sure you have wi-fi to contact the staff when you are arriving at the exact time you specified. The place is very clean, and have everything you will need. It Is located slightly outside the main area of the city which requires 20+ mins to get to. Good for long term stays.

Nice 3 star hotel. Rooms were very small, but adequate. Buffet breakfast was lovely, but dining area was small which meant long queues at the buffet. Free coffee is available in the foyer. Located about 15 min walk from train station & 10 mins from centre. Check in was a breeze.

I was attending a seminar and chose this hotel because it was close to everything worth seeing in the center of the beautiful city of Bergen. A loittle bit pricey, but they do have deals for weekends and summers. The breakfast is good. I think the restaurants are too, but didn't get to try any of them. Plenty to do as far as restaurants, bars, parks, sights etc. in the surrounding area. Good airport buss.

My fiancée and I stayed for just one night, traveling from Oslo via train before catching a ferry to Flam the next morning. Check-in process was easy and we were upgraded to a larger room, which was much appreciated. Beds are comfortable, facility well-maintained and décor reflecting boating themes as the name implies. The hotel location is excellent for anyone looking to catch a ferry or explore the harbor - it's right on the water and a short walk to the town fish market, with excellent views of the boat docks and famous Bergen Bryggen (colorful Hanseatic buildings). Breakfast is included and extensive, with several stations characterized by a large selection. Overall, satisfactory visit, and would return if staying in Bergen.

We stayed here after the nutshell trip, we took a cab to this hotel because it was raining and coupled with strong wind. It costs appoxitemately 180 NOK, less than 10 mins ride from the train station. The airport transfer bus is only located 1 block away from the hotel which is so convenient for us to go to airport later. Supermarket REMA 1000, fish market, museum and the fortress is just within walking distance. But do remember to bring your water proof jacket as bergen city is always rain, alternatively, you can borrow umbrella from the hotel. You cannot miss the hotel breakfast ang they provide supper up to 9pm from sun to thurs.

Situated on a lovely quiet street off Bergen Harbour, we were a stones throw from historic Bryygen, the Floyenbannen, Fishmarket and Kong Oscar Street. The hotel provides free hot drinks and breakfast included. Rooms were comfortable with lovely wood panelled floors. Repairs and refurbishment were being done while we were staying (not too disruptive, just a little noisy in the morning). Definite recommendation for those visiting Bergen for the first time. If you choose to take the bus to and from the airport (Flybussen), it conveniently stops a couple of hundred meters away (Radisson Blue Hotel Stop)

The Hotel has been recently upgraded, is very clean, efficient and great value for the money. An excellent buffet-style breakfast was included as well as a light dinner - great way to save money on restaurants. The hotel is quite close to the centre of Bergen, its entertaining harbour and shopping districts, and many museums and historical sites.

Bergen is a beautiful city in Norway. I love this hotel. I stay here every time I make a Service call to the Haukeland Hospital. The location is tops, Taxi and bus transport are dependable, fast and clean. This is a fine hotel. I will return again (in 6 months).

Stayed a few nights here as part of our honeymoon trip in Norway. Excellent location - it was literally right next to the Bryggen. Airport shuttle was available just opposite the hotel. There was a tower at the top of the hotel available for access which gives a great view of the city / harbour Room were spacious enough and we had a nice view towards the river. Bathroom seems to come with heated floor. Note that slippers do require additional charge. Good breakfast and complimentary tea+supper were a plus - if you haven't filled yourself at the fishmarket nearby already. Overall an excellent experience staying at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone going to Bergen.

The location is not that difficult to find indeed, self checkin which is fine by me. The place is new n clean and homey, but I always feel someone is nearby next hear what we re doing , it’s kinda close to the neighbors which I expect more privacy b4 checking. One room with door then open is the back stair, hmmmmm, just feel not too secured. Also, fire alarm in the morning and several times with few secs in day after, kinda irritating. The property inside without tv is not I expecting too, kinda bored at nigh without any TV to watch. Given the price, it’s bit high compared to other places.
