"Great hostel in a good location. Just a 10 min walk to the central Berlin train station, where there are many shops, a small supermarket and restaurants. Good connectivity from the Berlin Hbf to the rest of Berlin and for travelling to other areas e.g. Potsdam, Dresden, Cologne."

Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz
Mitte,Berlin - View on map
"Located at, or rather in Alexanderplatz, which is the real happening lace in Berlin, with the bus stop, the underground, tram and taxi stand just outside the hotel, Park Inn is a very well located hotel. All the historical monuments can be accessed by the hop-on hop-off bus, which is only €15 per head. Taxis are very reasonable with an airport trip costing €30. The rooms are a bit small, but very clean and most comfortable. The only deficincy is the lack of tea/coffee self service in the room. I would go down the Burger King and get coffee for my wife in the morning. That, however, was not really a problem as Burger King is in the hotel. The elevators are high speed and covered the 28 floors in 30 seconds. The breakfast was a very large, sptious spread consisting of A huge variety of breads, cheeses, eggs, cold cuts, juices, tea and coffee and fruits. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this East Berlin hotel to anybody. And, I will definitely stay th"

"Hotel was pleasantly situated near the main attractions of Berlin. Staff was always available and helpful. The room was nice -- quite big with nice comfy bed and clean bathroom. I would highly recommend this hotel for fellow travellers looking good value for money. "

NH Collection Berlin Mitte am Checkpoint Charlie

"This was a last second booking as I chose to leave Munich a day early and head to Berlin. My other hotel wouldn't be available until the next day and I didn't want to pay top dollar for a quick 16 hour stay. I found this on my phone and decided to chance it as the price was quite affordable. When I first arrived in the hotel I was shocked by how nice the lobby was. This was at least a 4 star hotel. They quickly checked me in and brought me to a clean room with nice linens and zippy free wifi. I then went downstairs and they helped me find something to do for the night. The staff and the facilities are all very nice. I only gave the food a 4 because I didn't actually eat in the hotel but the restaurant they suggested was fantastic. It's a little Thai spot down the street, do it. I would absolutely recommend this facility for anyone interested. "

Upper Room Hotel

"Exceptional good location to our surprise. It is walking distance to so many good restaurant and stores of different choices. We came in a car and there were parking right in front of the hotel but you have to pay the rate or you can decide to park at the hotels private parking which is 10euro a day. The room was good not great but acceptable. We booked the same type of room and stayed in 3 different rooms throughout our journey in Berlin. They were all different in sizes but it was ok for us since we only had a short stay. Facilities was average. "

Apartments am Brandenburger Tor

"I had read many reviews of this apartment and as a result I was a little apprehensive when I had booked until we checked in. The apartment is located in East German part of Berlin and the hallway do have the typical East German feel. Hallways were well lit and staff at reception were helpful. Yes there is a rental agreement but it is sufficiently explained and is no drama.. The apartment itself is excellent, it is well equipped and spacious. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The apartment is well located to all the landmarks and also to s and u Bahn and also to Berlin Hauptbahnhof. We went to the NYE party at Brandenburg Gate but could not wait the 6 hours for the fireworks so we headed back to the apartment. We had the most amazing view of all firework displays. A Following improvements to be considered there should be a iron , basic toiletries, enough toilet paper for the duration of the stay and washing powder for the washing machine. "

Good Morning + Berlin City East Hotel
Lichtenberg,Berlin - View on map
"We stayed for a night on weekend gateaway. We arrived quite late, around 11pm, and the reception staff is still welcoming with smile and processing our check in quickly. We also forgot an item in the room, and the staff had kept it for us when we called back to check and collected it again in the evening. The room itself is spacious and clean. The hotel has interesting concept of basic and add-ons, where there are charge for extra facilities like cable tv, room wifi, breakfast, etc. Thus, the hotel can cater for both budget travelers and those who want full service."

A&O Berlin Kolumbus
Lichtenberg,Berlin - View on map
"It's quite far out but for Berlin it's not that far. Good price and close to all you need in terms of supplies there's a kiosk opposite and a shopping centre 500 m away as well as a direct tram into Berlin fairly central but five minutes away. Lots of staff on board, place was bustling but once in your double doored room you heard nothing. Warm, fresh and largely comfortable sleeping. Wine was pricy and there are extras to pay but overall a great three days. "
