Byron Bay hotels & places to stay

This is a great hostel and located very close to the main beach. The town is very small and it is in a perfect spot for walking to all of the shops and restaurants. The room was very clean and decently priced. We stayed in a private-share room, which had a double bed and a single bed in it. The bathrooms and showers are shared amongst all of the guests and they were very clean and the showers had great water pressure with plenty of hot water. The community area was nice and comfortable. Kitchen is very large and can fit a lot of people. The pool is a nice size with a very nice day bed area and hammocks around it. The staff at the hostel are very nice and helpful. They have surfboards for rent and are prices really good, as well as wet suits. There is a good surf shop right around the corner to get lessons at, Black Dog Surfing. There are cafes and spots to grab food really close to the hostel. The only knock on it is that there is minimal free parking at the hostel.

Not sure how I feel about the iPads and revamping the reception to look hi tech... this is my 3rd stay at the Arts Factory and the aesthetic has always been a hippy haven. But no matter how many iPads they install through out the hostel you still get the douchebag playing oasis on the guitar til 2am. Doesn’t matter what happens to this place it’s the only place worth staying for the Byron Bay experience.

My friend and I stayed there for a week. The staff is lovely. We stayed in the 4 beds dorm with brand new private bathroom. Comfortable bed with plug, light and curtains. The kitchen is cleaned 3 or 4 times a day, well furnished, half outside. All the common facilites are clean and comfortable. The location is next to an organic shop and Woolworth, also 10 min from the beach and 5 min from the city center. You can feel all the good vibes from Byron Bay !

After travling a while in & out AU I can say that "Wake up Byron" is forsure one of the best places I've been in. I stayed longer then expected and would probably come back

We had a wonderful stay, it Had everything we needed and was a quiet place on the rainy days. The roadhouse cafe had great coffee and within 1 km the general store had awesome breaky. The best part was it wasnt far to town, and the beach was only 10 mins away . Definitely recommend this place, loved it.

We stayed here overnight whilst at Byron Bay. It is not five star but then you are not paying five star prices. It was perfectly good for what we needed. A good location for down town. We did not use any of the facilities so I cannot comment on them.

When I saw the post on Agoda I nearly thought it was too good to be true...good news is it was true! Excellent value for money studio nestled in the hills. Well furnished and with a gloriously comfortable bed. Only a short drive to Byron, Ballina, Bangalow or wherever around the area you want to be. Equally, it’s just as nice relaxing on the front porch! Hosts are very helpful and friendly as well.

The two bedroom Superior Villa was perfect for our two night stay in Byron Bay. Beautifully finished and stylish with cool tiled floors and two bathrooms. A large lounge area and a 6 seater dining table gave the place a nice feel. Some artwork on the walls would have made a nice finishing touch.

Really nice apartment 10 minutes work from Byron Bay. Big kitchen with well equipped kitchen tools. 5 minutes work to the beach

Brand new cabins, in the middle of town with super comfy beds, and everything you need for the perfect Byron Stay. Staff were helpful and friendly when checking in and appreciated the small touches like tea and coffee facilities in room and nice smelling toiletries. Highly recommended!

We stayed 2 nights at this motel and everything was wonderful. We had no idea Suffolk Park was so tropical with the best beach in Byron Bay! The hotel/motel complex includes the motel with lovely pool, the open-sided hotel/pub/restaurant next door, and across the carpark a delish bakery, pizza restaurant, cafe, fish n chips, etc. This is a very popular spot for locals - so for our 2 days we felt part of the community rather than tourists. Cappuccino and chocolate croissants for brekkie from the bakery mmmm. Byron Bay - 5 kms along the beach is very touristy so this was a nice break. 5kms south is Lennox Head with an amazing Tee Tree Lake - the tannin from the trees colours the water a dark brown and is very therapeutic. This motel is very good value for money and the staff were super friendly.

To be honest I don't know why this place is in Agoda. On arrival we went to what we thought was reception, just to find out it wasn't part of the complex with the woman rudely saying "you're staying at some random guy's house who rents his place out." If I had more time, I would have researched this place more. My friend and I were literally crammed in a twin room in a floor where you had to share a bathroom with two other rooms. Do Byron guests really pay hotel prices for Airbnb type accommodation? If I knew this was the case I would have paid the rip-off prices to stay in a standard hotel. Although the best part of the experience was being in a great wedding for most of the time, and only coming back to sleep.

We had a wonderful stay at Bay Haven Lodge Guesthouse. We stayed in a Garden Suite and the room was perfection - modern with a touch of Byron. We cannot thank Jade enough for her hospitality and kindness. We booked our room very late in the evening and despite the time (midnight) Jade still went above and beyond for us. Do yourself and favour and book a room at this property if you are ever in Byron. You will love it!

My wife and I had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. The room/private villa was clean and very comfortable and had everything needed. The management/owners were very friendly and accommodating they couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. If we go back to Byron bay we will be staying here again.

Really enjoyed our stay here over the Christmas period, we were greeted by a very friendly host who went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as posssible! We tried to book another night straight away but due to the busy time of year were unable, our host was so helpful and even tried to find us another place to stay for a second night. Very clean, great facilities, excellent location and overall a great experience. Worth every penny and will definitely be staying here again next time we visit Byron!

We are a young family with a 4 months babygirl and stayed at the property for 4 no nights. This was our favourite place of in Australia of all the places we chose for accommodation across our 1 month trip here. The property is just the right size and is a very quiet and relaxing place. We stayed in one of the cottages, just outsite the pool and bbq area. The cottage was perfect in all ways - exactly the right size for a small family (living room with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with 2 beds, double + single, and enough space to add the baby cot we were provided with). Everything was very clean and well looked after and in the kitchen we had everything needed to cook some veggies to go with the bbq meat. Deborah and Graham, the owners, were the loveliest of hosts and made us feel at home! We highly recommend the Byron Sunseakers and will definitely retun next time we come to Byron Bay.

Stay very comfortable and relaxed. Key pick up very close to unit so didn't have to drag suitcases. Central to everything short walk to beach. Only need to bring beach towel as everything supplied. Games. DVDs CDs fill kitchen equipment. Washer dryer. Ceiling fans only. Only disappointment was couldn't use BBQ ad in need of repair

Well... you may be want a clean bed and good night sleep... Than is this your stop ! We were asked upfront how we would like our beds placed ( 2 seperate of 1 big bed ) so the communication is great, the bed is great, we were shocked to find ear-plugs next to our bed... "What ?? Are we sleeping next to a nightclub ? Big party in the garden ?" but nothing happened, it was quiet, nice bed, nice soap (!) and nice breakfast. The only minus is that the shower and toilet are outside and shared with others but we went to bed early ( first one to use the shower in the evening ) and up early ( also first one to use the shower ! ). Thank you, we will visit if we're back in Byron Bay !!

This was a lovely location with just the noise of the local wildlife but also just a few minutes to down town Byron Bay and all that it offers. A wonderfully relaxing boutique accomodation and we throughly enjoyed our stay.

This motel is only small, so no pool or fancy features, but it is in a fantastic spot and is very clean. Beds were very comfortable and room was of a great size and very clean. Rather over priced for what it was, but that is Byron Bay! Staff was very friendly and nice also.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wollongbar Motel on the long weekend. The rooms were neat and tidy and looked freshly painted. The room was warm and comfy. We enjoyed being in such a great location close to the beach and the centre of Byron Bay. It just a short walk to everywhere. The staff at the motel were always very friendly and helpful. We will stay again in the future and hopefully in better weather than last weekend.

Clean, stylish decorating and interior. Comfortable bed, quality furnishing and linen. Quiet location, close to cbd and lighthouse. Relaxing atmosphere, and poolside. Lovely morning sunshine at rear patio, to sip a cup of tea. Beautiful rainforest birds, singing their song in the rear yard.
