Gdansk hotels & places to stay

Hotel is ideally situated within a 5 minute walk to the centre, in a peaceful location for a lovely nights sleep. The facilities at the hotel were superb! Pool and sauna are such a bonus and great as we visited in the winter and it was extremely cold outside! Cleanliness was 100% and breakfast was amazing so much to choose from! Only problem we had was out or shower did not drain and at one point the bathroom flooded! We had to change rooms however this seemed like fuss to them and they did not appreciate that moving and packing luggage to move ate into our last evening in Gdansk and we struggled to find food places (they like to chuck you out by half 10 in the centre) as a result we cut it fine and out last evening was a little stressful it would have been nice to at least have a complimentary drink or something just to acknowledge the room flooding was not our fault! However all in lovely stay and would 100% return and recommend!

The hotel is is walking distance from the main railway and bus stations. The hotel is well standardized. It has everything you need in your city exploration trip: on the centre of the city at the edge of old town, nourishing breakfast, friendly personnel, well furnished rooms with useful amenities. A bathroom is tiny but very cost and with touch of stile in details. It's even more than a regular 4*-hotel. We didn't spend much time in the room, most of time we were exploring medieval beautiful merchant Gdansk, and the activity brings real pleasure to an adventurer! The town has much to see: port, churches, walls of castle, old houses, plenty of museums, amber shops etc. We got very pleasant city break experience as well as a very pleasant stay in Mercure hotel in Gdansk.

Stayed here for 4 nights in December. This hotel is comfortable and modern. Our room was spacious and well equipped for a 3 star hotel. We had a bed and breakfast deal and the breakfast was buffet style with a good selection. Maybe the hot selection could have been a bit warmer but it was tasty. In the main foyer there is a Apple Mac with free internet access and a free X Box and play area for children The hotel is really close to Gdansk old town and I would recommend it for anyone thinking of visiting the area.

Great location, 2 blocks from The Crane. Near food stores, restaurants and farmer’s market. 20 minute walk from train station. Unit was perfect for couple, and had fold out couch for two more. Nice bathroom and kitchen. Overlooking courtyard with a statue of Neptune. Very secure with guarded entrance. Close to riverfront and Amber district.

I recommend this Hampton by Hilton for those needing an overnight stay near the airport. It is clean, functional and great value for money. Due to my early morning flight (before the cafe opened for breakfast), the hotel prepared a take-away breakfast and I compliment the initiative and service excellence.

Nicely designed, new hotel in good location with underground parking lot. Walking distance from old part of the city. Very tasty food in hotel restaurant.

Nice and cozy apartment! It's conveniently located, well designed and clean. The kitchen is ready to be used (oven, microwave, pans) and they provide glasses, accessories, e.g. wine opener. A possibility to leave keys in a box upon check out was super helpful. In the close proximity there is a grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops. It's within a walking distance to the Old Town. Thing to improve: quality of TV box. The one in the living room has no HDMI port. Overall very happy about the experience!

the apartment was ok, there was too much building work being carried out in the building, how many holes can you drill in one room ! it wasn't cleaned to a standard you would expect, but i did bring this to the attention of the key holder !

We would stay at the Stay Inn, again, on our next trip up to Gdansk. There are so many sites, cafes, restaurants and markets nearby that the location alone makes this the perfect hotel to frequent while in Gdansk. The rooms were clean, new and the windows kept out noise from the street. Thank you for a wonderful weekend away!

My stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The location is excellent in a quiet, residential area and near public transport. There is a grocery store nearby which was convenient. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I missed was a minibar in the room and air conditioning. I will certainly stay there again.

World Hostel was nice. I heard noises during the night but it is not the hostel's fault. I stayed in Barcelona-room and it was clean. Only problem was, that my suit case didn't fit in the lockers. And the lockers make annoying sound... Oh well, lovely location and I might go again.

I have booked this hotel for visitors before. The hotel always gets a good review as far as staff, cleanliness. Its location is pretty good, close to the road out of town but still close to city centre. Its next to a lake which gives it a country, out of town feel but public transportation and cheap taxis are available to the main sites. Highly recommended as even during the Opener Festival they had decent rates.

It’s only 3 mins to the Gold Gate. Quite and clean. We lived in a 4-bed room, it’s a little bit narrow but the price is good! The bathroom is not easy to hang out clothes but the water is good. Anyway, I would recommend it to my friends.

It's the best place to stay in Gdansk. The city center is near, the room is clean and warm, the price is great. We were here for the 2nd time and hope to return here again and again.

Ok service, the rooms were clean and large. I had a private twin-bed. Sheets and room were clean, bed not the best but what can you expect. There weren't any towels so remember those yourself. Otherwise nice kitchen area where basic food can be made. A tv and sofa to relax in. The location is amazing. 10 min walk from the train station and only 2 min walk from the city center. A perfect place to explore Gdansk from. The shared toilet were clean and bathing area quite big. All in all a good stay.

I settled on this hotel as it was one of the cheapest available, and was pleasantly surprised to find it is well maintained with clean rooms. Staff were polite, internet solid, and room/bathroom quite large for this price range. While it is in a quite remote location (around 30zl taxi to the city), there are regular buses at the nearby bus stop, that take you straight into the city for 3.6zl. Just make sure you stamp your bus ticket in the machine (after buying from driver), else you risk a fine.

We (couple with a baby of six months) enjoyed staying at the Krolewski a lot. The hotel is beautifully located in an old storage house with thick brick walls immediately next to the river. The staff is friendly, our room was spacious and clean with a view on the other river bank. The only backdraw was the loud music from across the river (probably the Krolewski is sharing this problem with quite a few locations near the river). Several loudspeakers simultaneously playing different styles of music were not really pleasant.

Fantastic little place! The staff was amazing! Especially Olga. She is super helpful and really cares about the guests. This hostel is immaculately clean, which I really care about. Staff was there every morning, cleaning every corner. They have a very nice and big, bright kitchen and common room with free coffee, tea and cereal available 24/7. Towels, sheets and of course, wifi make this a great deal. The location is close to the train station and great cafes and the old part of town. Cannot recommend this place enough. Gdansk is beautiful and this is the place to stay when you are there.

I wanted to love this hostel. Location is perfect, and it has all the little things you always wish a hostel had - toilets separate from showers, shelf in the shower itself, curtain creating a changing space outside shower, hooks for hanging your things, outlets, kitchen, strong WiFi, free lockers for valuables... but the staff were confusingly difficult to locate most of the day. When the right travelers find this place and staff warm up a little, the atmosphere should improve and it should be great.

This is a great hotel. Breakfasts are rich and tasty. Central location jut across from University of Gdansk. Close to tram and train lines. 10 minutes away from old city centre.

Normally book a hotel but the apartment was amazing .excellent location 2 min walk from old town.very good communication from the the people who ran the apartment. Would highly recommend

the hilton in gdansk was quite ok. good and beautiful location by the river and nearby all the nice restaurants in old town. the rooms are spacious and nice. good facilities and clean. the staff are mostly kind and serviceminded. with some excemptions. in a five star luxury hotels this kind of excemptions shouldnt be allowed or to be found. some staff need to be trained in english or better behavior. some kind of weakness compared to other international hilton hotels i´ve been to. also disappointed at the breakfast. its ok but not to the luxury standard.
