Geraldton hotels & places to stay

Whilst the accommodation was fabulous, the entry to the apartment was terrible. The address on the booking was not the street with the entrance and the signage was nonexistent. The parked cars directly outside the apartment blocked the entry and made it very difficult to manoeuvre suitcases at all. The main door opened inward directly clashing with the outward opening apartment door so to get luggage in was incredibly difficult and then we were confronted by two flights of stairs! The check in arrangements didn't work. The code we were given was incorrect and despite having rung ahead with our late arrival time the Perth office did not communicate with the Geraldton accommodation. We had to disturb the caretaker who was completely charming about it but I would not stay recommend it for a short stay.

This year I have had to travel extensively to regional towns. My work is for the government and is always booked in from Sunday to Friday, but sometimes my work is completed sooner than expected, which is something out of my control. Agoda has always been able to refund the days I no longer need, with the agreement of the hotel, EXCEPT this hotel. They refused. I can understand this attitude if a hotel is fully booked and they have turned people away, but that was not the case. At the end of the day I am not out of pocket, because the government pays, but it is still public money. My advice - book another Geraldton hotel if there is a possibility you will need to check out early. There are lots of nice ones.

The Best Western at Geraldton was a little distance from the shopping area but this was not a problem as like most travellers we had a car. It may be a problem for people without one. The bed was very comfortable and the room although dated was clean. The television like most places in this accommodation range was small. One of the best aspects of the accommodation was the swimming pool which was situated in the middle of the car park however it was private and open 24 hours a day, which we enjoyed in the evening. Unfortunately it was not heated however the weekend that we visited it was so hot that this didn't matter. The breakfast range was good and reasonably priced with the full breakfast only a few dollars more than the continental. The service was excellent from all the staff from reception, cleaners and the waitress in the restaurant. I have no complaints with be Best Western and may stay there again or opt to pay more and stay in the town centre.

I went on to agoda site to find a hotel in Geraldton and I saw this resort and I applied for a room.with in minutes I had a room.the room was big and cleaned

We spend 5 nights in the Mantra Geraldton recently, the location is fantastic overlooking the marina, near the town centre, walking distance to shops and other services. The apartment was very nice, modern comfortable furnishing with brilliant views of the ocean, marina and port. The onsite facilities with the pools and spa were clean and tidy with well manintained garderns. Staff were super nice and easy to talk with and ask questions, always friendly. Will stay again next time going to Geraldton!

Location of the guesthouse was within close proximity to the Geraldton CBD which made everything very convenient. Overall the guesthouse was very clean and comfortable. Free laundry facilities was a bonus. Owner/staff of the guesthouse was helpful and prompt in replying to email queries prior to our stay. Would recommend this guesthouse to anyone planning for a short stay in Geraldton.

We were traveling around Geraldton looking at wildflowers so the Ibis Hotel was perfect base for us. The dinner at hotel's restaurant was delicious and the staff very helpful.

We were welcomed at the reception after a long drive from shark bay and greeted by their fluffy friends Simba and Nala :). We got vouchers for restaurants and cafe as well, which our friends did not get any from where they have booked.

great value and a fantastic parmy from the restaurant. the continental buffet breakfast was fine the staff were lovely and we will be staying there again when next in Geraldton

We wasn't staying in the main building but in a house/flat in the town of geraldton. It was clean and spacious. The only negative thing, it was a bit cold during the night and not enough blanket for the two bedroom. Beside this little thing everything was good.

Highly recommend their motel room, the toilet even come with heater!!! Location was quite close to Geraldton ! we love it

This recently renovated backpacker will surpass all your expectations of backpacker accommodation. It is a two storey heritage building with two street frontages - the marina and the Main Street. I had a single room with French doors leading to a veranda balcony with ocean views. Everything is new and sparkling clean, from the crisp white sheets to the super comfortable mattress. It had a flatscreen television in the room! The communal areas like the kitchen are fully equipped with coffee machine, teapots, complimentary spices, and fresh bread daily. There are two large comfortable lounges, both with tv and one has a pool table. The outside area are vine covered with tables. There is ample privacy and space throughout the building, with the wide verandas furnished with comfortable cane chairs and lounges. The staff are friendly and welcoming. What more can I say. It is just a pity there are no photographs on the webpage. Without doubt this is the best Backpackers I have stayed in.

Basic, but clean and comfortable. We stopped for one night on our way home from a camping trip and was well worth it. When we arrived there was an initial mix up with the booking between Agoda and the lodge, but the staff were very friendly and helpful and got it sorted out ASAP with no issues. Would stay again if travelling through Geraldton.

Only stayed 1 night but very helpful staff. There was 2 things wrong 1)ants on the cupboard and fridge, couldnt get rid of them. 2)I booked online price was $88.00pn and when I booked in I had to pay $120.00pn Everything else was fine and I will be staying again in November.

The place is old needing some modernizing. The wifi only works if u stand in the carpark, doesn't work in the room. Most things in the room need a good clean. There are bed side laps with no globes in them, the fan in the bathroom sounded like a freight train. The beds wore clean and comfortable.

The best Geraldton holiday travel in WA. So friendly, nice and clean. Really a step to the beach for fishing.

one of the cheapest hotels in Geraldton but I think I would have preferred to spend a bit more rather than stay another night in such a tiny, stuffy room. room did not have a table to sit at which I was surprised about - how does one sit to enjoy a coffee in the morning - sit on the bed and use the side table? hotel is so far from the beach when there are so many more hotels to select from overlooking the ocean. staff were friendly and room was clean and quiet which is always my top priorities when travelling - would suit someone on more of a budget than me. I have learnt from the experience and will enquire about their higher priced rooms if I decide to stay again
