it was 1:40 am when my boyfriend and i arrived at estalagem coração da mata. cora, the owner, received us with a warm hug and a welcoming smile as if the late hour was not an issue. the next morning, after a great night of sleep in a cute cottage with fireplace, jacuzzi with glass ceiling and a fluffly comfortable bed, noeli welcomed us with a fresh home made delicacies breakfast. the place is beautiful, surrounded with lots of trees and has a lovely heart shaped lake, and it only has 4 cottages built in one single construction. you wake up with the refreshing silence of the country side, even if you have had a night out in the city which is a 5 minutes drive away. it is totally worth the money, which is a lot lower than the other tourist driven high priced places to chose from.

The hotel is located near the city centre but still way from the very centre, which makes it a quiet spot. Most rooms I think comes with a balcony. Looking out from the balcony I saw lots of pine trees. The downside was the slightly musky smell from the blanket.

The location is perfect, you have great options of restaurants from a walking distance, the staff is very supportive and the room is clean and safe.
