The French windows from our room led onto a pathway and car park and the maid left these open, presumably to air the room. Door retainers are fitted as a security measure, but these are totally inefficient as we demonstrated by squeezing through the open doors without a problem. We mentioned this security problem to the receptionist and left clear instructions that our windows were to remain locked. The bar area at the entrance has been tastefully refurbished since our last visit. Car parking is very limited and customers in the bar took spaces which caused residents to have to park elsewhere, which either involved paying a fee, moving the car very early in the morning, or both. In any event an extra walk was involved.
