La Vela Saigon Hotel
District 3,Ho Chi Minh City - View on map
"This place is just amazing, the staff is very helpful and everything is so luxurious. We were a bit sceptical at first seeing no reviews on this hotel considering how big it is, but we're so grateful that we decided to stay here. Our flight left late in evening, so they also allowed late check-out for free and after that chill in the pool area. The breakfast was superb, the best I've ever tried and the selection was just enormous. And the infinity pool - so cool! Definitely will recommend to everyone if you are looking for 5 star experience."

The Myst Dong Khoi
District 1,Ho Chi Minh City - View on map
"The highlight of our 14 days travel around Vietnam was two days stay at The Myst. The staff was soooo friendly. It looks that they love what they do. They would do everything possible to make the stay of guests as pleasurable as possible. The design of the hotel is just perfect. Old Saigon story wrapped in modern package - unique and perfectly carried out. Since the hotel is located in the middle of Ho Chi Minh City urban jungle, the noise around the clock wherever you go is just a part of the package..."

Lotte Hotel Saigon
District 1,Ho Chi Minh City - View on map
"We stayed at the Lotte Legend Hotel from 6 September 2017 to 11 September 2017 in an executive river view room. We found the staff at the hotel very attentive and professional. They were always welcoming and would meet you with a friendly smile. The facilities and food at the executive lounge was always excellent. We have stayed at other executive (Club) rooms in many parts of the world and have always found them to be good. However, In this instance the big difference was the staff that served you. The staff and the supervisors at the executive lounge were willing to assist you with any request that you had. I like tuna sandwiches and hot fresh chili with my food and once the staff got to know about my liking, any time I visited the lounge, they would make sure that our table had an extra plate of tuna sandwiches and freshly cut red chili. Everyone who worked at the lounge seemed to love what they did, with two waiters who stood out. We had Jack who was always smiling, very attentive, polite, and willing to assist you with any request you had. Then there was Kyle, who was a consummate professional who was doing what he liked. After a day of sightseeing in the hot and humid climate that Ho Chi Ming City offers, it is refreshing to go to the executive lounge and have these wonderful personalities greet you and serve you with a smile. We will cherish the 6 nights we stayed at the hotel with fond memories of the wonderful characters that make your holiday more memorable than others. We traveled to Nha Trang and returned to the Lotte Legend Hotel on 15 September around 11 am and were presently surprised to find that they has already made a room available for us , although the checking time is normally 2 pm. We had booked a city view room for out last night in Ho Chi Minh City, but had been upgraded to a river view room. The next surprise was that when we went for high tea in the afternoon, Kyle greeted us and once again he had not forgotten the extra plate of tuna san"

Silverland Sakyo Hotel
District 1,Ho Chi Minh City - View on map
"I stayed at the Silverland Sakyo with my boyfriend and father at the beginning of a trip around Vietnam and this hotel was lovely. It was clean at all times and the rooms were beautiful. The pool and bar area on the roof were lovely to sit and relax in the afternoon breeze. All of the staff were immensely helpful and as we found throughout our stay in Vietnam, everyone is so friendly. We ate breakfast here everyday and it really was good - lots of choice and very fresh. We also had the complimentary afternoon tea on a couple of occasions during our stay. This was such a nice extra and was made even more enjoyable with traditional live music on Saturdays and Sundays. The area around the hotel is ideal for visitors to Ho Chi Minh - attractions were a short walk away and there were lots of well rated restaurants nearby. We all agreed that we would definitely stay here on future visits to Ho Chi Minh City - I very much recommend this hotel. "

Mai House Saigon Hotel
District 3,Ho Chi Minh City - View on map
"The Mai hotel has a beautiful interior. I felt like I was in a huge mansion. The staffs there are friendly and helpful, making me feel like being with friends. I felt comfortable and well taken care of. The room was big, bright, clean and comfortable. The facility in the rooms are new, for example their smart TV, which I personally fond of. Location of the Mai hotel is on the edge of the city Centre, I tried walking to some of the site seeing places from the hotel, it was only 15mins. And if we decided to take a grab to go further to the city, with traffic only 15-20mins. there is a coop supermarket behind the hotel too. I didn’t have a chance to use their swimming pool this time. I will be happy to use this hotel again."

Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81
Binh Thanh,Ho Chi Minh City - View on map
"We took advantage of the agoda offer at the time paying a very reasonable rate for the room. Our room had good views over District 2 and beyond and was clean, well-furnished and comfortable. A room overlooking the centre of the city would have been nice but you can't have everything! The facilities were excellent; good swimming pool and gym/sauna area, and an excellent breakfast buffet the following morning. This had views over the city which was great. The staff at the hotel were excellent. Richie personally helped us to plan our evening and make bookings for us. An added bonus was holding free entry to the ice bar on the 77th floor - a real treat! Expect to pay above the odds for food and drink in the bars above the hotel. (48th floor) but there is a well-stocked mall below with plenty more food options. Overall, a really good stay and we will definitely be returning when the weather is better! "

Silverland Sil Hotel & Spa
District 1,Ho Chi Minh City - View on map
"We stayed at Silverland for several days while exploring Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel was good, the location was fabulous. The hotel is in the Dong Khoi area of District 1, super close to Ben Thanh night, and many restaurants and bars. It was very easy to walk almost anywhere from the hotel, and see all of the main sights in HCMC. The hotel itself was pretty standard, not amazing but solid. The rooms were on the small side, but the bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing. Breakfast had good variety, and the staff was very attentive. On the second morning, they greeted us by name when we arrived at breakfast. They helped us book a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels, and arranged cabs on several occasions without issue. Guests also receive a discount at the spa, which we took advantage of. All of us who tried the various spa treatments enjoyed them immensely. For the price, Silverland was spot on. "

More about Ho Chi Minh City

Sitting on the banks of the Saigon River, Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam. The city, also known as Saigon, is served by Tan Son Nhat Airport which is only around 15 minutes from central Ho Chi Minh City by taxi. Hotels near Tan Son Nhat Airport usually cater to business guests, but leisure travelers will find the accommodations equally as suitable.

There's a lot to see and do in Ho Chi Minh City. Owing to former French occupation, the city was once referred to as the Pearl of the East and architectural remnants of its colonial past remain. Most notable are the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Saigon Opera House, both located in the city center. A lot of Ho Chi Minh City's tourist attractions are historical, and many of them focus on the Vietnam War. Reunification Palace, commonly known as Independence Palace, is a restored building largely unchanged from when the North Vietnamese army crashed through the gates and took control of the city.

Nearby, at the Museum of Vietnamese History, a large collection of Vietnamese artifacts and antiques are on display. For the nature enthusiasts, the botanical gardens serve as a great way to escape the noise of the city and focusing on natural beauty. A popular way to find respite from Vietnam's heat is at Dam Sen Water Park, located right in the city center. Ho Chi Minh City is a place of historic and cultural significance, where every street reminds the traveler of all the events that have taken place in this city. A visit to Vietnam would hardly be complete without a stroll around Saigon.
