Hotel is close to the airport. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Entertainment on site. A variety of eating places and meals are reasonably priced. Friendly staff who are always willing to help with whatever you need. This made it a pleasurable stay at the Peermont Mondior. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was included in the price and there was a great spread each morning. Everything was fresh and tasty, especially the litchi juice and croissants. Will definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to South Africa.

we had a very nice experience in your wonderful hotel! the best hotel i could think of in johannesburg! everybody treated us with smiles and service 24/7.the rooms are so nice that you dont even want to get out of there! relaxing athmosphere and quite surroundings outside the hotel with lots of parks and jogging areas for the joggers. i will recommend the genesis conferencing hotel and suites to everybody in the world that i know... if they ever wanna travel to johannesburg-southafrica..there is only one hotel i would recommend! that is the genesis conferencing and suites hotel in fairmounts. thank you everybody for your hospitality and greatest service!

This hotel has a lot going for it. It is my hotel of choice in Johannesburg. It's great value for money and not far from the M1 highway, the staff are friendly , keen to assist and efficient. There are hourly complimentary shuttles to Sandton City (Nelson Mandela square) which is close to the gautrain station. As a smoker it is rare to find a hotel that has smoking rooms, and so I will list it as a benefit. Would definitely stay there again. Actually, I booked another 5 days!

Stayed on our way into and out of South Africa as very convenient for the Johannesburg airport and much better value than the hotels on the airport. Large comfortable rooms and bathrooms (separate shower and bath), regular free shuttle to airport and they allow you to leave luggage if you are coming back to stay. Did not have time to check out facilities. An excellent airport hotel.

Booked this as a last minute stay for our last day in J'oburg and we were impressed. Check in was efficient and quick. You do need to review a few papers though, notable the inventory list but they make it seemless and quick. The suite had all we needed, including a washing machine. No dryers in the smaller units though. Location in Sandton is greata few minutes walk from the Benmore Garden's Shopping Centre where there is a Pick and Pay and some good takeaway options too : Simply Asia is a favorite. Would definetely stay again.

I had a great time. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about most things. The food was splendid and the environment was very nice. Didn't dare to move around outside in the night time but that is not the hotel's issue as it seems South Africa on the whole does not present a safe image.

What an amazing and restful stay. Sparkling wine upon checkin, super friendly and accommodating staff -they even put roses on the bed as it was our Anniversary. Complimentary mini bar in the room with snacks and drinks. Great food at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The outside bar was great for sundowners and had great cocktails. The VIP room we stayed in was amazing, and we made sure to use the Spa bath every night as well as the in-room fireplace! Can't believe this little gem is barely out of Johannesburg, but feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere. Really a great stay and cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Stayed in this property for our last part of our South Africa Trip. I truly recommend this property. Spacious Room and Clean. Good Location too. Part of my itinerary is to visit the Famous Neighbourgoods Market. This is just walking distance from the hotel. Also, this is walking distance too from THE SMOKEHOUSE AND GRILL - go grab some good steak ang ribs!

at first i reserved this hotel for 4 days but i have to be in johannesburg for a week. after 4 days i found it very good hotel so i prefered stay there for rest of days i have to be in johannesburg. nice place, warm people, best location near to nelson mandela square by taxi around 5 min.

Lovely rooms! Location is nice. Close to Sandton mall, walkable. That was why I chose the place anyway. Cons - Breakfast is just there, very bland. Ugh! The Staff, only Sammy, the concierge guy was friendly and nice. I had already booked the hotel before reading reviews, most of the bad reviews I read were about the staff and had nothing to do with the hotel facilities. I arrived at the hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The lady I met at the reception was just outright rude and uncaring. I greeted her and I barely heard a reply, she was just chewing gum. The staff at the restaurant too were always just staring, no smiles whatever. I am just here wondering if it's a Jo'burg thing. I will only recommend this hotel because of location and nothing else. I don't feel very welcome there.

Since discovering Misty Hills Hotel over a year ago, I have not stayed in any other hotel in Johannesburg. This is the best hotel for me. Rates are very good, breakfast great, and as for the gardens, Wow! For me they are very therapeutic.

It was a pleasant stay, my room had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, very good and clean bathroom. Every gadget that I used in the room was working perfectly. The staff was so friendly. Unfortunately I didn't get an opportunity to visit their restaurant and bar. I was invited for a happy hour which unfortunately I failed to attend because of some business commitments outside this hotel. I ticked 3 on food/dining above just to allow the system to proceed successfully.

The best priced self contained apartment in Sandton. Staff Great. Have been staying there for years and will continue

When we arrived in Johannesburg after a long flight, we got our rental car and drove directly to The Reef. The staff there was exceptional friedly and took every opportunity to make our stay more comfortable- always with a warm smile. We are ourselves front office manager and chef in a hotel in Switzerland - we found nothing to complain about. This is a good hotel in South Africa which is absolutely worth its 4 stars. You should ask the concierge team what to do in the surrounding. We only wanted to do a small tour as we've been tired after the long journey. Quincey guided us personally and was eager to give us some interesting information. The lady who prepared our omelettes did an outstanding job and demonstrated so much enjoyment proudness with her big smile. - it was great to see that she loves her job as much as we do ours. Thanks a lot to all of The Reef's staff for making us feel welcome to South Africa at the beginning of our journey

My wife and I stayed two times in the past month...once for four nights and once for 1 night. Very happy with the food and the accommodations.

Good location for an overnight in Johannesburg, right near a large mall with restaurants and shops. Spacious suite suited our need for 2 bedrooms. Staff could improve, especially when serving first-time guests to the area.

Very good stay with no problems Good location near Sandton and also easy access to Grayston shopping centre and not too far from the M1 which is an arterial road that takes you quickly to Johannesburg city centre. The hotel is also near Sandton Square which is a large mall with a multitude of shops and also includes a multiplex cinema and several restaurants, besides clothing and other outlets. Also close to the Gautrain

Lovely setting in gardens 6 mins from Jo'Burg airport. Nice rooms and relaxing atmosphere. BUT: We booked and paid for a family suite but they were given to somebody else. We were provided 2 twin rooms. Nice rooms, comfortable and spacious, except one of the TVs didn't work and the floors were covered in black soot and no towels. One room had bird droppings on the sheets. Internet and wifi, eventhough advertised, is non-existent and the credit card machine is "hit and miss". Staff were aloof, not all that helpful and rarely at reception. We rang for the free pick up from the airport - "the guy is on his way" (remember it's 6 mins away). 1 Hour later he arrived, so not a great start.... Hotel has a dining room and 'honesty bar' in a great spot upstairs. Food from the cook was REALLY good, drinks were well priced and breakfast was plentiful, apart from limited cereals and fruit selection. Recommended as a value option close to OR Tambo (Jo'Burg) Airport provided they fix up the internet and staff issues. Chilled out place, after TIA - This Is Africa .....

This is a well organized Guest House very close to Johannesburg airport with good facilities, large rooms and free WiFi which is a rarity in South Africa. It is very convenient for people arriving from, or departing for, overseas destinations. Good value for money.

This is a great hotel in the middle of Johannesburg international terminal. I transit through South Africa a lot and don't like the idea of having to go through security and immigration each time. The hotel is in a quiet part of the airport and you don't hear the planes. The only downside is that there is no eating in this hotel. There are lots of cafes in the transit lounge which does require you to go through the xray part but if you have no bags, that is easy enough. Just be aware that to get back to the hotel you have to go back through the xray security area. You have to tell them you are staying in the hotel and they open a side door. Maybe a hotel sign would help.

I have stayed at a number of capital hotels across South Africa and with good reason. they're generally perfectly placed in the correct areas. Modern, clean and always comfy.

This was the third business trip to Africa that I've stayed at the Protea OR Tambo. I'm only ever transiting so need a good hotel near to the airport. I've tried several of the other bigger hotel options, but this is by far the best. The rooms are small but well designed, the beds are very comfortable and I always get a good nights rest. The restaurant is excellent, breakfast is very good as are the options for dinner. Importantly the shuttle service from the airport is quick and efficient. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'll be sure to stay here again on my next trip.

great hotel felt safe although the cleaning ladies start making noise around 630am so maybe not the best place if you need to sleep. Also we had bed bugs but were given another room. Nw room the shower was broken,

i was very impresssed on the kind of service that the rivonia b&b staff had provided. the staff (namely zani, fillitah, farmer, jessica, charles and trust) were very friendly, kind and have a genuine desire to make your stay enjoyable. the room was very spacious and clean - it's better than a 4 star hotel! as a frequent traveller, i greatly appreciated that i was able to check-in quite early and was offered to check-out on a much later time. the breakfast selection was awesome. they have earned my trust and loyalty - i will always stay at rivonia b&b whenever i go back to johannesburg.

Being a returning guest I am happy always to be met by many familiar faces at this excellent family run property. The accommodation remains as clean and comfortable as before and all staff from reception to waiters and cleaners were their warm, friendly and efficient selves. The lastest recent dining menue is well balanced and all dishes were expertly prepared and a culinary delight with one very minor exception. With an extensive wine selection that would satisfy any palate, a full set of Super Sport channels on the in room TV and a delightful room patio where I can enjoy my evening cigar I have found this oasis along the road to be a place that I am always very happy to return too when visiting Johannesburg and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of staying in Boksburg either for just an evening or a much longer longer period.

Because of the location we had great times in SA. I've participated to an exhibition and it was pretty close to the exhibition center. for the breakfast, it should be improved and for Muslim customers Halal foods should be placed in the meal. Overall everything is fine

lovely older hotel in the heart of sandton. built in 1949 and still retains a lot of rustic charm from its time as a stables. good value for money. rooms are a little small but beds are very comfortable and the room well appointed. bathrooms and shower are great. make sure you book room and breakfast. breakfast is great here and the sitting out area is really neat. if you don't book the room/breakfast however, the breakfast is a little expensive at r 155 per person. the spread is great and if you chose to sit outside, many of the local birds will come to join you... quite delightful! at the price, this is one of the best places to stay in jnb. the area surrounding is completely safe as well, which is a nice bonus. staff are helpful and polite. the hotel has a gym but it needs to revamp the dumbbell set which is old and not properly matched as some are missing. a few heavier dumbbells would be perfect. overall a great and inexpensive hotel which i would recommend to everyone. quite a few airlines chose to put their staff here when they lay over in jnb, which should tell you a lot!

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Afrique and yet again it did not disappoint. Staff are amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean. Dinner was amazing! We were leaving very early and they packed us a lunch. I was super impressed the sandwiches were in paper bags and the juice was in bottles so Afrique is away of the environment - that for me deserves 5 Stars! Well done!!

5)3 accomodation was very good, and certainly equal to a 4 star hotel. Breakfast too was very good. The DSTv is lacking in channels, which I find personally annoying, however this is the same for all establishments apart from some 5 star hotels. I will return.

We were extremely impressed with this hotel. An international conference was being hosted there and it was fascinating to talk to all the different cultures over breakfast. The grounds are green and natural and filled with bird life. It offered everything a traveller could wish for from swimming pools, a gym, a spa to mention but a few. The only thing I struggled with was a totally closed up room that was air conditioned. Beautifully warm in the cold Johannesburg Winter though.
