Killarney hotels & places to stay

the house is beautiful, surrounded by a wonderful garden. totally relaxing place with good size rooms and ensuite. kathleen is a wealth of information and knows the surrounding area well and was helpful in ensuring we could capture all the sights in the limited time we were in the area.

We stayed for two nights at Glena House while we visited the Ring of Kerry. Our stay was most enjoyable. The room was comfortable, clean and the hotel was reasonably well located. The staff were the highlight, being helpful and great fun to interact with.

Beautiful apartment but the only draw back is having to check out at 10 when you are with a group of people after an event the night before 12 o'clock would be a better time to check out at

Conveniently located between the centre of town and the INEC (Convention Centre) it’s a perfect choice for those that are in town attending a conference. For those simply visiting, Killarney House and Gardens are just 3minutes away, Killarney Brewery is across the road and the town is 5m walking. Plenty of parking spots on the property, the room was very spacious and the hosts were lovely. Can’t recommend Abbey Lodge enough.

I was only here for one night, but it was a great experience. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful, especially when we realized our plans had fallen through and needed to book a new tour while we were there. The room was well appointed and comfortable, and the B&B has a whole table of toiletries and other items in case you have forgotten something or have run out on your trip. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. There is a continental breakfast with everything you would expect, or you can also buy a hot breakfast for a selection of omelets, pancakes, etc. The one thing that would have made this B&B perfect is if it was closer to the train station. It's about a ~10 minute walk away from the main town area. This is great in that it is very quiet, but it's also not the most walkable road (very busy, small sidewalks), so walking back from dinner / pubs late at night isn't ideal (but definitely do-able).

Very friendly hostel, comfortable beds with curtains plugs, a light and a shelf. Great bit of privacy. Close the the national park. Good kitchen and supplies. Cozy common area with a fireplace.

Excellent location within walking distance to downtown Killarney. Lovely gardens and beautiful historic stone walls line the entry way. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Room looked out over the garden with its beautiful Yew tree. I would recommend The Gardens to my friends.

i would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in a quiet traditional irish b&b. the owner was lovely and cooks a brillant breakfast. this place definately has that home away from home feeling. the only issue i had, was that it is hard to locate, however with the help of the tourist information centre in town we were able to locate it.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel's charm. First of all, the location is perfect - right in the middle between the town center and train station. Killarney is quite small so you can reach everything by foot anyway. The exterior of the hotel already screams classic luxury. The lobby/reception area is quite small but there's enough space to relax. The room itself looks old but is still very beautiful and up to modern standards. The main assets of the room are the whirlpool bathtub and the huge bed (you might only get this in a 5 star hotel). Service was very good (our hair dryer was broken and it was replaced instantaneously). There is also a SPA and swimming pool but unfortunately no kiddie pool. BUT the BEST part of this hotel is the dining area: sleek and artistic interiors, dark but pleasant and the food was GREAT. Will definitely come back.

Lovely guesthouse a short walk from the town centre. Nice and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good value for money

Staff was very friendly and suggested a few great local things to do! Breakfast and bar downstairs are great!

My in laws were heading off to Killarney and they asked me if I could look up some B&Bs for them. I found the Agoda site for the first time and was well impressed. The deal I got for the The Heights Hotel was amazing, and was even cheaper than the B&Bs I was looking at. They called me when they got into their room to tell me that it was the best hotel room they've ever stayed in. The views were amazing, the food was divine, and the staff were so very polite. I, myself, have decided to stay there at a later date to indulge in some much needed luxury.

Would recommend staying at this hotel while in Killarney. Rooms were a good size and very clean. It's about a five minute walk to the centre and a short drive to the lakes. You have use of pool etc in the hotel next door which was empty both times we used it. Overall a pleasant stay and would return again when back in Killarney. Breakfast next morning was to a good standard. No faults at all to mention.

Sabrina and Sean were wonderful. Warm welcoming smile upon arrival and we received an early check in after requesting one a few days earlier. Aoife from the hotel even emailed days in advance saying that if they could, they would. The staff are very professional. The room was a great size, the breakfast wonderful and there is plenty onsite parking. Should I return to Killarney, I shall not stay anywhere else except for Randles Court.

We were not happy with our stay in this hotel, we had parking under the hotel for the first two nights of our stay, then on the friday night we had to drive around for an hour and a half in the rain beofre parking became available in the town, then we had to walk back to the car in the morning at 8:30 (also in the rain) to get a new parking ticket. The hotel staff told us there was nothing they could do about this. The first night we ate dinner in the Hotel Bar and Grill, the meal was well below the standard of edible. The lamb was very overcooked when we asked for medium and the burger was not cooked properly with raw mince in the middle. No staff at any stage asked us if the meal was okay, just to mention a few things, we had to walk out. There were other problems also including no wifi for the first few nights.

Victoria House was suberbly comfortable - charming rooms, even more charming staff and a seriously to-die for breakfast. The hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of the stunning Killarney National Park, and a short drive into the town centre. Special thanks to Maura and her team for making our stay so enjoyable.

Due to a bit of a mixup in our booking, The Ross Hotel was already closed for the season, so our reservation was transferred to their five-star sister property, The Killarney Park Hotel. For the confusion, they also upgraded us to a Junior Suite, which was a truly lovely room. HUGE bathtub, with a TV to watch while you soak, lovely sitting room with fireplace, big windows and a balcony overlooking the gardens. The service here was EXQUISITE. I can hardly remember having had better service at any hotel anywhere in the world, and I've been to a lot of them. The bed was large and luxuriously comfortable. Literally my only complaint was that the comforter was not down, it was some other thick, heavy material that did not breathe well at all. So, unfortunately, even though the bed was the best we slept in during our whole time in Ireland, we didn't sleep very well due to feeling stuffy and overheated by the comforter. Still, no matter, the breakfast spread made everything worth it. I've never eaten so many croissants and biscuits and cheese in my life! My boyfriend was eating their smoked salmon (lox) and he said it might have been the best he'd ever had. Wonderful experience overall.

We love this hotel. Our best hotel in Ireland. Rooms are large and beds are super comfy. We have a car and it was very easy to drive around ROK and the Dingle Peninsula.

From the word go, it was perfection, and it shows from start to finish. The staff here are genuinely warm and professional. Nothing is out of place. Its spotlessly clean, well maintained, retains its traditional character. A wee tip. If you are one of that fortunately dwindling number of smokers, and you can afford it, get a superior room with the balcony on it. Thats because all rooms are non smoking. What else.....theres an outdoor Jacuzzi and a fitness centre. All in all, its the best I've stayed at, and the prices reasonable too.

Good value for the money. Stayed here just for a night to explore Killarney and attractions nearby. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely go back.

We stayed 3 days at MacSweeney. The service was excellent and the room with the bay window was impeccable. Hotel has an excellent location with public parking nearby. The attention of this family owned hotel is spectacular.

The hotel is in a convenient location with plenty of free secure parking in the grounds. Room was excellent and spotlessly clean. Price was very reasonable. Breakfast was excellent. All in all this hotel is excellent value and I will recommend it to my friends without hesitation.

Booked the hotel based on the Internet description and options. Choice probably due to having been baited and lured by the purportedly "4 Star" ranking. Did not pay sufficient attention to weasel clauses and, what on checking in was verbally told, were bookings actually depending on the elusive concept of availablity. No parking, being offered the choice of "upgrading" to a "better room" which "just now" has become available, three beds in a separate single room booked for an accompanying female friend of ours - surely were disconerting, to understate my personal feelings and which I know from experience is not very condicive to good hospitality business. Location and breakfast excellent, though.

We loved out stay at Murphys. Although the food in the pub was priced higher than we expected, everything else was an excellent experience. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the beds were comfortable. In the morning, there were many breakfast options. I had an amazing full Irish breakfast and my wife, who is a vegetarian, was very pleased with her choices as well. This hotel was well priced, centrally located, and a great experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting Killarney.

Amazing hosts, beautiful room, delicious breakfast, incredible location....what more could you want?
