Leicester hotels & places to stay

Stayed at the Holiday Inn to watch Leicester City play for my son’s 17 th Birthday. The location is brilliant, literally yards from the stadium. The room was clean, comfortable, well equipped and extremely quiet. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as it is excellent value for money.

Friendly helpful staff, modern hotel with large reception/bar area ... breakfast was lovely and they cook particular requests. Rooms lovely and clean, perfect size for a night away neither small nor huge with all needed facilities - hairdryer, ironing board, tea coffee etc ... large and plentiful pillows and towels. Best thing is the hotels location ... we ate at restaurants, went to bars and clubs, visited the cathedral, Richard 3rd museum and shopping on the high street and markets and experienced an escape room and never needed a taxi once! Perfect location in the centre of Leicester. Thanks Ramada Encore, we will be back 😊👍

If you have ever been to the Holiday Inn, anywhere, then you have been to this one. The staff were great! I was able to have my luggage held onto late into the day of check out, so that I could continue to explore the very cute city of Leicester!

Front rooms face a busy road and junction. Well located for Leicester station in a grim looking, but central location offering easy access to the city and cultural quarter. Good value if booked far enough ahead. Standard Ibis fare, nothing to get excited or disappointed about.

I just stayed in leicester with my family for one night at leicester to visit some friends in the city. To be honest theres not much to do in leicester， so the hotel doesnt really matter much to us. The rooms are clean and tidy and in good size，staffs are attentive and friendly. Overall nothing to complain about，if you need a place to stay in leicester then this is a good choice.

I considered this better for a short stay than the airbnb options. The location is so great, I arrived late at night and was easily able to walk here from the Gravel rd bus station.Only issue was there's no checkin after midnight, my bus was delayed so I was really worried about this but luckily made the deadline.

I was here for a wedding and for the cost, it was great value. The staff let me check in early so that I could get ready for the wedding. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The converted house has a nice setup for the guest house. The beds are super comfy and very clean. The bathroom is also very clean and stocked with toiletries. The hallways themselves were a bit run down and could use a deep cleaning. The location was close enough to walk to downtown or the train station in about 30 mins along busy safe roads. I really enjoyed my stay here and would return.

In a 2 night stay we changed rooms 3 times! In peak summer, we booked here mainly for the air con, but the one in the room wasn't blowing out cold air. We were given a fan but this didn't make a difference, so we asked to change rooms the next morning. The service was great and we were given another, quieter room which was a little cooler (still with an air con unit on the wall which wasn't blowing out cold air). When we returned to the room in the evening we noticed this unbearable smell! The staff checked and quickly changed our room! The third room was better but air con still only blowing as a fan. The 2nd night was only just bearable with a 2nd fan due to the heat. I can imagine the hotel is a good budget place to stay if you go in cold weather. We cant fault the staff who are friendly and accommodating. Generally the rooms are clean albeit a bit small and even the double rooms have a bunk so mind your head!

I stayed at the Regency Hotel for just one night because of the office christmas party and although the hotel is a little dated in its decor, nevertheless it was clean which was the main thing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast which was included in the price was as good as anywhere I've stayed. Altogether excellent value for money.

Perfect little place for a cheap night. Was lovely and clean. Very basic but all you need. Would visit again. Friendly staff. Quiet even though seemed to be a few people there to "party" we never heard a noise through the night.

The apartment was well presented with great facilities including combo washer /dryer, full oven and microwave. On site parking is extra but it is possible to park on the street out the front for free from 4pm until 10.30am if you arrive at the right time. Finding the building is difficult as there is no signage for Empire. There's a sign on the street for serviced apartments and an intercom to contact reception. Reception staff were very helpful. When our assigned apartment had no freezer we were quickly moved to a different apartment.

hotel was really lovely would recomend the hotel and when we go back to leicester would stay at the hotel again the staff were really nice and plesant and a lovely part of leicester to stay in relly enjoyed staying there the rooms where lovely thank you

Good hotel for the rates asked. Spend a couple of days in Leicester and could not have made a better choice. Friendly staff,clean room,nice bar and breakfast with a view. Location is very good close to the centre and the bus station. Even the railwaystation is walking distance. I will return.

Croft hotel was a walking distance to De Montfort hall and University of Leicester. I did not need a taxi and I walk through Victoria park to get to both venues. The cleanliness was great.

We needed a property close to family for the night and this was excellent and 10mins from where we needed to be. The room was comfortable and clean, the Bluetooth speakers were a very nice added touch. I would book again when coming back up.

We loved that the room and bathroom were very clean and without any decoration. There was also a coop downstairs, so you could buy things and prepare them in the kitchen immediately. The dining room is well stocked and maintained, so it was nice to hang out there. Disadvantage of communal kitchen is perhaps the fire alarm which went off a couple of times. Some people might not like street noise, though windows are pretty good. Compared to other apart hotel in Leicester, this one doesn’t require a deposit.
