"When I first entered the room, I was actually quite surprised with its neatness, tidiness and the amenities available. I felt the room had a lot of space; I was sharing this room with a friend as we didn't really get into each others way. The service desk was open 24hrs and was very prompt in answering any queries. I have stayed in the Mercure hotel in Melbourne cbd before and felt the room was very congested and was more expensive than this hotel. This hotel was walking distance from the Southern Cross station; which made it quite accessible to catch the airport link bus. On the king street below there was ample parking available and variety of food outlets available. "

"We always like to book hotels close to public transport to enable us to get about with great ease. Whilst not our favourite Melbourne Hotel, Best Western Atlantis ticks all the boxes for us in terms of being close to the Airport shuttle, free city loop tram (corner of spencer street and la trobe) that will loop around to the majority of the tourist attractions in Melbourne. The tram stops directly outside some attractions and just a short walk to others. We arrived at 11am and didn't,t expect an early check in and were quite prepared to leave our luggage with the concierge til check in time whilst we explored Melbourne but we were given an early check in which was very helpful. The Queen Executive we had was a reasonable sized room, writing desk, two seat sofa, coffee table, fridge, tea/ coffee making, safe, hair dryer, alarm clock - all the things we required. The room was clean and comfortable and very good value. The hotel is NOT located in the hub of Melbourne and there are no stylish eateries on the doorstep but supermarkets, 7-11 and various fast food outlets and other clothing outlets can be found in or near the Southern Cross terminal just across the road and less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. So easy to go further afield on the free tram or just pick up a Myki card at any 7-11 or most stations and load it with whatever credit you require to use the train, bus and tram system - just easy as:D). The hotel also has an indoor pool and reasonably priced breakfast though we didn't,t have chance to use those facilities on this trip. We,d definitely stay again."

"The location of the the Ibis is perfect, it was close to everything, we got to Melbourne by ship and it was a short Uber to the hotel It’s next to our favourite Melbourne cafe called hardware society so that was also a bonus, the test of our trip we walked everywhere including To the airport skybus which was a short 15min walk from the hotel The room was small “compact” which was in the description but very clean and functional Perfect for my partner and me. We ordered Room service and one were unhappy with one of our items the lovely ibis team took this item off of our end bill which was greatly appreciated. Overall we had great experience here and would book with Ibis again in the future Great value for money as well "
