miri is one of the good state in sarawak to do shopping, but they are still having gangsterism around which could frightened the visitors
The environment in Miri are very calm and peacefull. the population here are multi races but in harmony living
Miri is a small town which we would go and have a short holidays for shopping and food. There are clubs like the celebrity which you enjoy some hard drinks and listen to some nice live band.
Miri may be a city, but I feel that it still has a long way to go to actually be able to label itself as one.
Miri is not a big city. If you just walk around the city, you can do it within 2 days. But if you want to feel the nature, extend you holiday to 5 days.
Pretty good for shopping. So far it has been safe for me. I did hear stories about crimes and car-thefts in the past.
Please get miri friend to tell you the good and interesting place to tour around, not need agent. you go by free and easy, but more fun if you know the local people to share around
The Miri city is one of the biggest city of teh Sarawak district with continuous development and growth yet still preserving the natrual touch around it for nature lovers and sightseeing.
You can find a reasonable amount of things to keep you busy both in and around the exterior of Miri. It's a weekend break for most Expats from Brunei and has a selection of eateries and drinking places.
This city may not offer a lot of things unless you wanted to explore some caves which were require to travel by car or join some tour around.
Is a nice place to stay at which able to found lot of different type of food and shopping mall i this city.
Its a small young city. People are friendly and warm in general. Inexpensive to get around. It will still take time to mature as a city but its a great experience to see a new city grow.
Its the nearest Sarawak town from Brunei. It may be a good stop by town before going further into the Sarawak.
Miri grew from a fishing village to an oil town due to the discovery of oil & the town prosper together with the Oil & Gas industry.
Miri is a decent place to travel for a relaxing time. Also you can visit the caves at bintulu with a few hours drive.
Oil town. Great place to live but not sure there's much for tourists unless they're just passing through.
miri is a good shopping city with excellent facilities for gathering such as christmas and new year party
miri is one of the nice and good city in SARAWAK to be visited.varieties of natures places to visit n also nice to do shopping as well
many shopping malls.natural park.10mins drive from town to the airport and 20min to the boarder of brunei darusssalam
Very famous weekend getaway for most Bruneians to do various activities from beaches, nature or shopping.
45mins to the National park (gua Niah).15mins drive to the border of Brunei darussasalam and to the airport of Miri
Miri is a vibrant city that offer unique experiences with its great location to nearby national parks such as Niah Cave, Mulu National Park and Lambir Hills National Park.
Miri is a small but large town. People are friendly, town is relatively clean and very comfortable to move around.
If you are looking for a weekend trip to be with your families and friends, this is a great place to choose.
Great for shopping non hi end branded goods, mid range mostly available, if you are shopping for outdated items, you will be so happy they are still available
Beware of your handbags (for the ladies especially) while walking. Too many snatch thieves around. And drive with care cos the drivers are civic minded on roads.
Miri basically is a small town that turns into a city few years ago. It has many shopping centre and is still growing.
I was recently transferred to work in this city. Widely touted as a RESORT CITY, there is nothing much Miri city has to offer.
Miri is an oil city. Newly develop and still a long way to go for modernization. Went there for the nature experience and also transit to brunei.
Lots of seafood restaurant that serves nice dishes and a lot cheaper than KL. Near to Niah cave which is a recommend to go for outdoor lover.
