This is a traditional Japanese town with just about everything: good sightseeing, nice Japanese styled restaurants, and very friendly people.
However, you have to speak some Japanese to take advantage of all this. There was a festival going on at the Sakurayama Shrine with horses, and people dressed in samurai and traditional costumes. Great photo opportunities. Then the next day was the Yosakoi street dancing going on all over town. Young and old people in wild costumes did outlandish dancing to loud recorded music. Great fun. Walking around town I found a number of good shops and at night good places to eat and drink. All in all, a highly recommended place where you can have a marvelous time.
The near by farm is also a good place to visit It is a very beautiful place the tree and the flowers are so pretty
