"Ideal for backpackers. You can use the kitchen to eat food, and surprisingly, there is a sauna and a gym in the basement. Conveniently located near department stores and Massena Square. And the staff responded well. It seems to be good at cleaning. When you travel from Nice to the suburbs, you have to find accommodation here. will have to pay for breakfast. And it was a shame that there was no olive oil in the kitchen such as basic sauce, sugar and salt. There are only kitchen utensils."

"The staff first struck me as nice and friendly. The rooms are comfortable with air-conditioning, a great plus in the summer when Nice is hot and humid. The lockers are also useful with many compartments to keep your items, though do bring your own padlock. There are curtains for your bed if you need a little more privacy. Space inside the room itself is rather tight, though and it's not so convenient to put on the sheets yourself considering how big and heavy the mattress is. The bathroom floor is easily wet (would suggest to have a bigger towel or mat for the floor), and lacks hand soap at the sink. On the ground floor the common area is pretty nice, though I believe there is no kitchen for self-cooking. It is well located, very near to the train station and walkable to get to the coast and old town. The area feels safe and quiet and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. All in all would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone wanting to stay in Nice. "

I did not expect a high quality of apartment hotel since I have been travelling a lot but Appart'City was really surprised me with the clean room and kitchenette and toilet. I particularly like the kitchenette because got dish washer and even microwave though the place is small. Of course with all the pots and utensils. "Hotel La Villa Nice Victor Hugo is located between the train station and Promenade des Anglais. It is around a 10 minute stroll to the station and about 5 minutes to the Promenade which suited us well. We arrived by train and used the local service for day trips to Antibes and Monte Carlo. Nice is easily walked and a great place to visit. The Hotel is located in Boulevard Victor Hugo which does have construction of a new light rail tunnel happening but it did not bother us. Additionally the hotel had scaffolding around it but no workers appeared in the time we stayed. Staff were great and the breakfast is ok but we preferred to go out venturing for breakfast and would recommend you do the same. Room was a great size for Europe and the biggest bathroom we have come across. Minor privacy issues with the bathroom with clear glass above the frosted areas but this is France. "

What to Expect from Nice's Weather

Nice enjoys a Mediterranean climate, characterized by warm, sunny summers and mild winters. The summer months (June to August) are particularly delightful, with temperatures often reaching the mid-20s to low 30s Celsius (70s to 90s Fahrenheit). This is the perfect time to hit the beaches and enjoy outdoor activities. However, be prepared for the peak tourist season, as many visitors flock to the city during these months.

Spring (April to June) and fall (September to October) are considered the best times to visit, with comfortable temperatures and fewer crowds. Spring brings blooming flowers and vibrant colors, making it an ideal time for outdoor exploration. Fall offers a pleasant climate for sightseeing and enjoying local festivals, while the changing leaves add a touch of magic to the scenery.

Winter (December to February) is mild compared to many other destinations, with temperatures ranging from 8°C to 15°C (46°F to 59°F). Although it’s cooler, the sun still shines on many days, allowing visitors to enjoy the city's attractions without the summer crowds. This season is perfect for those who appreciate a quieter atmosphere and want to experience local holiday celebrations.
