First off, on the question "What would you recommend this city for?" I only answered Nature because an answer is required.
None on the above or nothing would have been the truer response. You don't go to Nuneaton unless you have to. Either business or family, family on my case. There is some important history near by (north of town about 5 miles is the Bosworth battlefield) but if that was my destination, I would find a quant pub/hotel in a tiny village near by rather than staying in Nuneaton. Downtown Nuneaton is a sad, desolate place. I have been maybe 2 dozen times in the last twenty year. Hasn't improved, possibly worse than my first time there in 1993. If you are there with time to spare and like to walk, I suggest walking the canal in town and others in the area. We hired a canal boat north of town a couple years ago and that was a crowd pleaser. The city of Coventry is not to far away and has a bit more to offer. I don't recommend coming to this area to sightsee, Better areas like Stratford on Avon or Cambridge to enjoy the English country side.
