"Refrigerator not plugged in so I spoiled some food. Other than that I was happy. I should haves checked to make sure it worked. The door only opens 3/4 of the way due to the microwave and refrigerator sitting by the door "

"The hotel was perfectly fine, the staff were efficient and friendly. Room was tidy and clean, no complaints about anything until breakfast. BLECK! Paper plates and plastic cutlery. ~Gross~ The staff at the breakfast were very pleasant and friendly. But the food was so mediocre and basic. Everything was quick/instant/pre-made/packaged and clearly reheated. Such a downer on an otherwise great night out. I was dumbfounded that such a good overall experience could turn so sour so quickly. I recommend the hotel and staff, definitely recommend to stay away from the free breakfast."

"Our group of four (two rooms) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Champlain Waterfront Hotel. We received a very warm welcome from Sandra at check in. She also provided an informative history of the building, and recently-completed renovations, and a small tour of the premises. Our rooms were modern, comfortable and well-equipped. The buffet breakfast the next morning was tasty, with a nice buffet selection - and their coffee was good! The Champlain's staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us, we thank them for their hospitality. We're looking forward to our next Orillia visit and to staying at Champlain Waterfront Hotel."

"The breakfast was good. The location was good. We were there for a concert and it would have been great to have shuttle service available for hotel guests. "

"The location is very convenient with close access to main highways and amenities. Not a deal breaker, but the TV was grainy and offered poor viewing. Sleep is very important to me for obvious health reasons and as an athlete. A family on on my wing were talking and laughing extremely loud into the late hours. They may as well have been in my room, as the separating walls offer no sound barrier. Room signage should be front and center on this point in support of those who paid significant dollars to get a good nights sleep. The hotel should enforce quiet hours after 9PM as standard policy for all patrons."

"Most of the hotels and motels in Orillia are uninhabitable at any price. This place is very clean and nicely equipped. If they would just charge a fair price instead of as much as they can possibly get. Comfortable mattress and pillows, good size shower with nice bathroom. Decent Wi-Fi and TV."
