Palm Springs (CA) hotels & places to stay

I definetely recommend this hotel for everyone who is visiting Palm Springs; great rooms and suberb staff. Hotel has wifi internet with high speed and two great restaurants serving delicious mexican and european food. Rooms are big anf comfortable; we were upgraded to a garden king room with direct access to pool. will definetely stay again in summer, when it is warmer.

Large space for 4 people and room condition was clean. You can find water & cups every floor for free. Pool facilities are very nice, you can use cavana and pool bed for free. However, staff seem not very professional and they were not friendly. pool towel was not in the cabinet as well.

It was an amazing stay during summer. My suggestion maybe the hotel could have more facilities or even build another pool so it won't be too crowded in 1 pool and more comfortable for the kids

Avalon was good. Welcome Drink on arrival. It has 3 different pools depending on the vibe you want. I personally like the quiet pool. Staff were friendly, but during my 3 day & 2 night stay, the room never got serviced, which was weird, even after asking to get serviced. Rooms are a bit dated (and I think they left a lot of the decorations as is, when it was under previous management) but most of our time was spent outdoors at the the pool or in town. Overall I'd come back again.

This was my 2nd stay at this property and I will definitely be back. The location is great, just around the corner from the main shopping area with plenty of restaurant choices. The rooms are spacious(maybe a little dark) the pool is great, a little on the small side but that’s what I love about it, everyone in the pool becomes friends. The poolside bartender Nick is fantastic and people need to stop giving him crap when he calls out guests who bring in their own outside beverages. It plainly states in big letters “no outside food of beverages allowed and you initial for that when you sign in. I’m sure that’s not his favorite part of the job. If you insist on doing that stay somewhere else. Nick your awesome!

This is a great place to stay at when I’m Palm Springs. The location is perfect. Only a block from downtown. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff is great and they really go the extra mile to help you. My only complaint is the pool. It was over 100 degrees and the pool water was about 90. It didn’t seem like it was being constantly filtered. They really need to work on this. Other than that it was perfect! Will be going back soon.

The location is definitely worth it, walkable to stores/bars/restaurants, and way cheaper compared to other downtown stays. Nothing fancy, but really only need a place to sleep while in Palm Springs.

It is a good hotel but it takes about 30 min to walk to the downtown. However, It's clean and nice.

This place is hassle free with friendly staff. We arrived at the resort at close to 1am and they got us checked in, in no time. The resort is outdated but I like it as a vacationer that travels with pets because they are so pet friendly. The bed is very comfortable and the suites are roomy.

Had a fantastic room the space is so smart and clean feeling. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and on the ready to help in any way they could. The rooftop pool was the key feature, views of the mountains all the way to the wind mills just spectacular.

When I booked this hotel I wasnt expecting much as I knew it was an old hotel with a 60s tikki theme so as I expected it to be a bit tired but I was wrong! It is an old hotel but it is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious comfortable and immaculate. Hot powerful shower with lots of fresh towels. The pool area is very nice and the Reef Bar serve great fresh cocktails made from scratch. We had the Coconut Shrimp from the bar and it was delicious. Unfortunately we didnt have time to try the restaurant. All the staff we met were super nice. Overall we had a great stay and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

The staff were all professional and made sure that I was so totally taken care of. Sammy (Front Desk) was friendly, professional and made sure that I had anything I needed if I came to the Front Desk (to pay for WiFi). WiFi was only 2.99 for each 24 hour basis and was a good strong signal. The pool was nice and large with a nice hot spa that was clean and enjoyable.

Pension was easy to find and close to downtown. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Room was clean, large and equipped with all necessities. Pool areas were great as well as the open areas to either relax by the fire pit, play boche ball or watch old movies. All in all a most enjoyable time away, definitely recommended and will go back next time we're in Palm Springs.

The hotel manager was concerned when my sister arrive early and tried to check in for our reservation. So, they are careful and that is appreciated. The location is very good. The appearance of the hotel (the office is an A-frame) is a bit along the line Disneyland's Swiss Family Robinson exhibit, but it is attractive, albeit simple and basic. The hotel boasts a swimming pool and a smaller spa pool. The ice machine is something of an enigma. It give the instruction that a sliding portion must be up while a button is pushed, but no plastic items slide, and it seems, at best, to dispense a few ice cube chips, sufficient for a glass or two of Pepsi or your favorite beverage, as long as it is served in the small plastic cups the hotel provides in hermetically sealed plastic pouches. Mind you, there are some hazards. The particle-board (extremely heavy) bed's headboard fell off the wall when I tried to plug in my phone charger into the socket which was covered by the mattress. It looked like the plastic mollies had suffered a few incidents of having fallen off the wall before my incident. I was able to re-install the tipsy headboard onto its overly burdened wall-bracket. Just to be sure, I unmade the bed and slept with my head at the foot of the bed, lest I be conked on the head in the middle of the nights by the loosely-attached VERY HEAVY particle board bedhead (which rested on two barely-attached wall fixtures on which the headboard sat. The horizontal venetian blinds also lost a leaf or two when my sister tried to open the window. We were able to "sorta" reattach the wayward slats. Overall, this is a great place, and I DID show the hotel manager these problems. He smiled and said that he would take care of them. Just you take care if you stay there. But maybe I just got the jinxed room. Seems like a nice family that runs the place. I'd stay there one more time, just to give them a second chance (the price and value are very good).

This was, by far, the nicest place I have ever stayed during my travels. Now when I go to another destination, I compare it to HH and the others don't quite meet the bar. Nice job staff and owners! I look foreword to another stay with you! Kate C

This motel six isn't luxury, but it was clean and had everything we needed for one night. I would consider staying for two nights, but more than that it might be a little dull as it is a short drive from the center of town. The decor is kind of mid century modern, but of course on the cheap side. There were ice machines, easy and plentiful parking, and a pool. Good for a quick weekend away on a budget.

Right where you need to be in Palm Springs. If you want an early night then don't get a room facing the pool. But if you want to have a cocktail or two, then thats another story ;-)

Great we were in town for the light parade and had an early morning flight out of Palm Springs. It was conveniently close to both.

This was our first visit to this particular hotel and we will most definitely be back! We had a wonderful time. Our room was so clean and comfortable in a nice quiet location. The kitchenette was equipped with everything we needed. We were looking to relax and we found that at Palm Springs Tennis Club Hotel. The hotel staff were most accommodating and friendly. I enjoyed the fitness center very much. The fitness center had a nice array of equipment for both cardio and weight training workouts.

I loved our stay at Parker’s. Service is perfect, helpful but not pushy. Facilities are out of this world. Lobby and rooms are amazing. Choice of two pools, both stunning. Good good and drinks wonderful. Can’t say enough good things. I will be back.

Loved it! Will definitely book at this hotel again if we were to come back to Palm Springs. Primarily, we were there for Coachella, Rendezvous is 5 minutes away from one of the major bus terminals so it was great not having to pay Coachella prices for our hotel yet still be able to enjoy the transport system of the festival.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a hotel in Palm Springs. It is historic, and although smaller, full of charm. We loved our second story room, enjoyed the spa, relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the lovely sunshine of Palm Springs. They have ice cold lemon water available all day, and the breakfast was adequate. We would definitely go back!!!

This place is optimally located for the single gay man and the facilities are excellent (two pools, large hot tub, sauna, and lush gardens). However, their coffee is horrible. Apparently is it prepared by individuals who Do Not drink coffee (??) Aside from that-this place is GREAT !
