"Although Slumber Lodge is a very well situated beach front hotel and I visited in summer, my visit was really to see family so I spent little time at the hotel itself. The studio room had two large comfortable beds, a large TV and a very adequate bathroom. There was a microwave, a small refrigerator, a coffee machine, cups and glasses - but nothing else, no cutlery or plates. (Larger rooms are better equipped.)There were a lot of towels in the bathroom and used towels were replace daily; bed linen three times a week. The biggest drawn back was that in the downstairs studio there were no net curtains, which meant that the curtains had to be kept closed all day to stop passers by looking directly into the room. So the room was always dark. The Penticton beach front can be noisy at night (especially during summer festivals), but once in the room no outside noise was noticeable. Check in was quite fast; check out very fast and easy. The hotel suited my purpose perfectly; I could walk to my family, I was on the beach front and the city centre with its many restaurants and shops was five minutes walk away. Not a fancy or inspiring hotel, but a very useful one when visiting Penticton."

"Spent three nights here in late September. I found the hotel and room to be clean, bright, spacious and fresh. This may sound trivial, but one thing I really liked was the bathroom, with a fresh, modern design with a shower set up more like the ones I've seen in Asia, which I prefer. If I had one complaint, and it's a minor one, is that I wish there had been a kettle in the room so I could have boiled water for tea. The room was equipped with a coffee maker, but I don't drink coffee. Would definitely recommend and would consider staying again if I ever return to Penticton. "
