GreenTree Inn Phoenix Sky Harbor

"I stayed there twice within 10 days (each time for a night). What I really loved about the hotel was their location (near the airport) and the staff. I had accidentally left my bag (wallet, passports, etc.) at the cafeteria and panicked (this had not happened to me before) when I found out after about 10-15 minutes. However, the staff had noticed it and kept it safe for me. This was right at the beginning of my trip and I was meant to be on the road for 3 weeks in AZ and Mexico. I am grateful to them. There is a small gym, which I didn't get a chance to try out. During my second stay, I used their laundromat. Very convenient -- I would have carried fewer clothes had I known in advance. Overall experience was good. My only request is to put more lights in the rooms. It is difficult to see anything that drops onto the dark carpets. Cheers."

Talking Stick Resort
Central Scottsdale,Phoenix (AZ) - View on map
"Beautiful, clean everywhere. Good entertainment. A lot to do. Buffet was good, but not worth 50.00 a person! We went to enjoy the pools. Wrong, just wrong that we had to pay 30.00 a person extra to utilize what you felt you already paid for in all your room service fees and resort fees. (Because they had a DJ playing). Pools are part of the property for all to use. Especially in AZ when it’s 108 degrees. Probably will not go back."

"The only con was that I booked this place primarily for the pool and it was closed for remodeling the week I stayed here, and didn’t find out until I was checking in. Other than that, this hotel was super cute. I loved the decor and the room. The restaurant/bar Tranquilo downstairs serves delicious food and margaritas, and has great ambience. I will stay here every time I stay in Phoenix!"

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Phoenix Airport, AZ
Sky Harbor International Airport,Phoenix (AZ) - View on map
"We stayed at the hotel because we had an early morning airport flight and wanted to save more than an hours travel time. The room was a good size and clean. Staff was pleasant, shuttle service to the airport was on time and efficient. The only downside was that the breakfast was not ready at 6 as scheduled and we did not have time for it before the shuttle left. From what I could see though there was a good selection so it would have been good."

Traveler impressions of Phoenix (AZ)

More about Phoenix (AZ)

Situated on the Sonoran Desert, Phoenix is a surprisingly green city that has been a hub of agriculture for a very long time, dating back to the days of the Native Americans. The city is also a popular tourist destination, attracting people from all over the country and some international visitors on a regular basis. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport serves as the gateway for the entire state, and is only a short drive from downtown Phoenix. Most hotels in Phoenix will be happy to arrange a shuttle or transfer service to get their guests from the airport to their hotels, so booking a hotel near the airport need not be a concern.

The unique desert climate of Phoenix and its surrounding area have made it an important hub for agricultural industry insiders, and the Desert Botanical Garden is a popular destination for learning about the different plants that not only survive in the desert but thrive in it. The garden is a beautiful attraction featuring some unique plants, and is located in the area of Scottsdale, easily reached by car.

The history of this region is deeply tied to the history of the Native Americans. After all, they are the people who took this arid desert land many centuries ago and turned it into a thriving and green land. Learn more about the history and culture of the Natives by visiting the Heard Museum, one of the largest institutions of its kind in the world. The museum has an impressive collection of exhibits and artifacts celebrating the many different cultures of Native Americans, with a focus on those who lived in the areas of Arizona and its neighboring states.
