Ponorogo is a small city which is famous for its traditional dance that become the main identity for Ponorogo Regency, namely REOG that is held every years along the anniversary of Ponorogo regency.
The weather is quite hot but the traffic is much more less compared with big cities. There are no many hotels in Ponorogo since it is not business city but some hotels are clean and well maintained. Foods are cheap, very reasonable price. There is also lake in Ponorogo around thirty minutes from the central, namely NGEBEL. It is nice lake, beautiful view and not many tourist.
Ponorogo is not the best city for adventure. It's only suited for passing through, but maybe I just didn't find any interesting place.
