A beautiful old house converted into a comfortable, clean hotel. Located a block from the square. Kind and friendly staff. Twin beds, not a double. Nice feel if you like older homey interiors - which I do. Great price and a nice one-night stay.

This was our landing zone after traveling 30+ hours from California. We arrived at the airport after 1am and their driver picked us up, and was very friendly and trustworthy. The checkin was easy, which was important being it was so late, and the place is spotless and very cute and comfortable. We woke up and thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast, which was served by one of the owners. She was so wonderful, happy, and a big heart, and served the best meal. Unfortunately, we had to run to catch a bus to Puerto Natales, but we really found this place to be a little gem in Punta Arenas.

This was one of my favourite hostels. Brilliant view, very well thought out building with a kitchen and common area upstairs that faced the ocean. Twenty minute walk downtown to a grocery that is fairly well stocked. I was in a six bed room and it was worth the extra dollar to have that rather than the 10 bed rooms.That being said, they looked like decent rooms. The staff were brilliant, I only had a couple of interactions with the owner and he was very friendly. Other front desk staff were very interactive and helpful, able to answer questions I'd had since the beginning of my trip.

This is an old hotel built in the style of the late 19th century. Many original features of the building remain. It is a pleasant and convenient place to stay. The hotel is accommodation onlyso does not have a bar or restaurant on site but is sufficiently close to city restaurants that this is not an issue. Breakfast is provided in the dining room on the 2nd floor

We stayed one night. We booked a double room, but got a twin, because they apperently don't have Doubles. When we asked about a double room, they gave us a bigger rooom with two double beds at no exstra cost. The breakfast Buffet was nice.

Old hotel showing some signs of age. Soundproofing poor so hope for quiet neighbours. Overall, not bad and certainly fine for a couple of nights.

This was a great place to stay. Nice and clean, good breakfast, acceptable wi-fi. They were nice enough to keep a suitcase for us while we hiked the TDP. It was nice and quiet and I would stay there again if I'm ever back in Punta Arenas. The location is a bit out of the way, but is quiet and an easy 0.5mi walk from the Bus Sur station and about 1mi from downtown.

Teresa and her team are warm and welcoming and helpful. Every moment welcomed with a smile. Perfect location just up the hill from town, quiet, clean and comfortable. Next trip to Punta Arenas, I will return to this beautiful place.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and well prepared. Location is a few minutes walk to the plaza, a block away from good restaurant and in front of the hotel is a big supermarket. Kitchen available for use. A bit quite pricey for a night though but I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Highly recommend la casita escondida to anyone spending a night in Punta Arenas. We had our flight cancelled and arrived past 2 am, before having to take a tour to Torres del Paine at 6:45. Mauricio picked us up from the airport and took us into town so we didn’t miss our tour. He went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and cooked us a delicious breakfast too! Thank you Mauricio!

This is very nice apartment hotel, clean and soft bed, easy to find the shopping mall for food, and near restaurants. Good services and quite new facilitators.

We spent two nights at the hostel. It was about 10 min walk from downtown and the bus stop. Good continental breakfast. Place was clean. Use of kitchen facilities. Fridge is small so don’t plan to store a lot in it. Staff friendly. They don’t speak English but wasn’t a problem for us.

This three bedroom cottage makes a great place for a family, although I was there as a single person. It was a cool day, so the small woodburning stove was much appreciated and gave the place a cozy feeling. There was also a propane gas heater. There is a gas stove and an apartment sized fridge, so it is well set up for having meals. The proprieter was most friendly and enthusiastic, and was able to communicate even though he didn't know English and I didn't know Spanish. He called his daughter over to translate when I arrived, and then used Google to communicate with me later. As there were no restaurants or grocery stores near, he kindly went to the store to buy me some supplies, and also took me to the airport. This is a difficult location if you don't have a car, as it is not within walking distance of any services. The only practical way in and out is by cab, as it is on the fringes of the city. It does have a view of the ocean and is a most pleasant place to stay.

The staff is very nice and helpful, but the rooms and other facilities definitely don’t deserve what we paid. There are better options in the city by at the same price.

We drove so getting to the place is no problem but can imagine it to be a distance to walk from downtown. Fabulous host, warm and welcoming. He speaks excellent English which was very helpful in getting recommendations. It was a nice gesture of having your name on the door of the room for you. Kitchen available for guests to use. Toilet seems newly renovated and relatively huge. Look out for unit number or remember how the house looks like. Host will be waiting for you based on your reported arrival time.

Located few blocks away from the city center. Room is very nice and comfortable. Staff are very nice and assist us anyway they can.
