Puri has quite a good clean beach which stretches for miles. However, the wave is quite strong. Plenty of old temples around Puri or nearby area, of which the Jaganath temple is most famous one.
Unfortunately, only Hindus are allowed to enter. For others religions, you can only get a glimpse from the outside. And, if you visit Puri, you should find a time to visit the Konark Sun Temple, one of the world heritage sites.
Puri is a lovely destination for families looking for religious breaks from their lives. Have loads of temples and is also good for people wanting to chill out at the beach n sun.
So it is an overall a nice destination for solo travelers, groups, friends and families. But a big no no for business travelers as there is hardly any facility available for conferences and seminars.
one must go if want to enjoy bath in sea... hotels are good.. reasonably not over crowded... Lord Jagganath temple is a must visit.
.. too good place for relaxation... NEGATIVE aspect would be that there is no night life and that you wont find adventure sports as expected from a beach area...
Excelent for religious and living natural beauty ....Puri and Konark (Sun) Temple...specily Chillika Lake.
Slightly dirty, nothing exciting happening kind of place. Good if one likes the beach. Lovely beach.
