"I can't speak highly enough of this place. The front is unassuming to the point of being plain, but don't let that fool you. The rooms are warm, soundproof, and with the amenities of a 4-star hotel by Indian standards -- room heater, hot water kettle with coffee and tea packets, shower separated from toilet, nice workmanship all in all. But the star attraction here is their beautiful outdoor patio/lounge area, which is split in 3 levels, and the Mango Tree Cafe, which has Western, Khasi, Chinese, and Indian food options (vegetarian and non-veg). The staff is by far the friendliest, most accommodating staff I've encountered in all my Indian travels. Also, the value for a single-person room was incredible. I paid almost hostel prices here; less than half what I would have paid at Poinisiuk, for example. Loft and Mango Tree staff -- Thanks for everything, and keep up the good work!"

"The hotel has parking space for three or four cars. The approach to the hotel is steep - on top of a small hillock - requires a good driver with a good car. However, it is in the middle of Shillong town - well positioned for tourists or business. The rooms are reasonably spacious and are equipped with proper room heater. We got the top room with a good view of the city. The property has no lift/ elevator. The helpers will help with the luggage. There is no dining arrangement for lunch or dinner. They will get it for you from their Cafe Shillong restaurant - which is some distance away. They can heat up the food and serve you in a small dining space inside the hotel. Once inside the room you should be comfy. Bathroom was really quite good. The HD TV gives you all the channels available in India."

The location of the hotel is quite nearby police bazaar and one can just get some good exercise with some walking ... the rooms are good though the room which we booked was somewhat small (last minute booking-Christmas rush) ... the food here is really good (green Thai curry)"

"Went to shillong after a decade. Centre Point is one of the oldest landmarks of Shillong. Pros: The best aspect of hotel is its location which is bang in the middle of the city. Both restaurants were good and served tasty food. Staff was courteous and helpful. Cons: Bathrooms could be maintained better. Splashing can be avoided by increasing the height of the barrier between shower and toilet areas. Toiletries also can be improved. "
