"My first room was very loud (someone had a party outside). The staff changed my room immediately and I got a good night sleep. The room was very clean. The size was pretty good for Norway, where most rooms are small. "

"My friend and I had a very enjoyable 2-night stay at this hotel. It was nice to wake up to an extensive breakfast buffet each day and the Internet service was fast. The hotel shuttle bus to/from the airport stops directly in front of the hotel. In addition, the hotel is centrally located and walking distance to supermarkets, bus/train terminal, car rental agency and most importantly, Stavanger Old Town. We found our room to be a little too warm upon entering after checking in, and when we switched on the air-conditioner got neither cool nor warm air, so the only option to cool down the room was to open the window. We presumed that the extended winter meant the air-conditioning system had not yet been switched on throughout the hotel. Overall, a great hotel that I can certainly recommend."

"Location is good and price is too. I used to stay at Mhyregaarden a lot a few years ago. The price is ok, but you don’t get much for your stay either. The property is now owned by Frogner apartments, so if you’ve made a booking with Mhyregaarden, you won’t be able to use the check in machine. The reception has moved from a welcome reception area, to an unseen, un-signposted back room. If you have a room on the 5th floor the lift only takes you to floor 4: I had an injured back and found out the hard way. My room was ok, clean, tea making facilities, but soap was missing in the bathroom even though it was very clean. The heating didn’t work in the room either and I was frozen in the night. In the morning, the breakfast room had gone, so I went to a local cafe. Compared to the hotel I remember, it’s a shadow of it’s former self unfortunately. I’ve never written a poor review before, but I very much doubt I will return to a hotel I used to like staying at a lot. Sad. "
