Thames hotels & places to stay

I suspect there are few options in Thames when it comes to getting your own room at a budget price, in a central location. So the Imperial does the job! The room was basic but roomy, and the bed was fine. The hotel is on the main street and there is a pub below, but I had no noise issues - it doesn't look to be the kind of pub to have loud music (it was certainly very quiet the night I was there). Service was okay.

We enjoyed out stayed at the Chalets very much. It is a wooden house hence there was nice cozy feeling staying here. My six year old daughter felt in love the place the moment she step into the chalet and said to the host 'this is best home in this whole wife world'. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night. However we were greeted with tea and milk and a complementary local chocolate bailey for my wife and myself. Rachel, the host's wife, brought out some Legos and books for my children. She and her husband had made our stay very pleasant and relax. Fantastic hospitality. Lastly, what was phenomena was the view over Thame, it was like living in a dream.

Keith and Yvonne Burns were Amazing Hosts,and there love and pride for there Hometown Thames,shows through there Stella Hospitality you receive at the Brookby.I would reccomend too Anyone who wants too feel like they've been on a well rested get away,with the comforts of Home,This is the Place too Stay.You won't regret it,and if you do,You've gone too the wrong Motel.Brookby was Awesome,for all Ages of Life.

We loved our stay here the place is beautiful, just far enough out of town along the coast but close enough to go in for a nice dinner. Sort of the gateway to the coromandel. Only problem I had was when I booked I booked a Chalet the a frame one that was advertised on the site, upon emailing and confirming as it was an anniversary stay, the lady at the front desk had said it in fact wasn’t booked as that and I had to upgrade which I did. But I had booked a chalet on Agoda so not sure if there is a confusion or mix up here between comms between Agoda and the hotel, but I am glad I emailed as I wouldn’t have been getting what I had originally booked.

There are 3 rooms situated right next to each other at the Cotswold Cottage Bed and Breakfast. On our first night there, we were the only guests and it was very pleasant. All 3 rooms were booked on our second night so it felt a bit crowded and the sense of privacy was lost. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Garth and Adrienne are very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The breakfast on both days was delicious, we had no problem with the WIFI, and Thames is a good base for exploring the Coromandel. I would definitely like to stay here again if we return to this area on a future trip.

We could not have wished for a better stay. From the moment we arrived to the time we drove out on our way to our next stop, Sally and Sacha had made our stay an idyllic one. The cottage was extremely well set up with essentials and nice touches. There was ample space for us to re-organise our luggage from "flight mode" to "travelling/cycling mode". The setting in amongst the trees, shrubs and ferns is a very calming one. The kitchen equipment worked well and having a gas BBQ on the verandah, allowed us to prepare a wonderful evening meal with the very fresh ingredients prepared and provided according to Sacha's advice. The gardens are a delight to explore and the restaurant/tea rooms a great place to enjoy some wonderful home-cooked delights.

Though I have agreed with the 4 star rating, I feel this should not be regarded HOTEL but MOTEL rating. I also ticked 5 for food. I am confident it would have been excellent. We did not actually experience their food but felt it unfair to not mark it as it would drag down the average of this great little place. I suggest the compilers of this questionaire insert another option of 'didn't use it'. We stayed three nights. The motel is the very last building tucked up in the corner so no local traffic passing. The lady on the desk couldn't be more helpful. There is a very good laundry with drier and ironing facilities. A washing line in your own little garden area,essential when you have been travelling. We used the pool at the end of the day, there is also hot spa and a very clean BBQ for guest use. The motel is well located for the various attractions of the Corromandel. The large room was comfortable and well equipped. Should we be in that part of NZ again we would definitely return to the Rolleston Motel and recommend it to others.

The is the far most enjoyable stay we had. The 3 doggies really enjoy our stay and they had brought so much laughter to us. Scott and Karyn are so warm during our stay and Karyn makes really good pizza and bf! The farm tour was something which you must do! We have learn a lot from this tour!! Worth it!!! Highly recommend and gonna get all my Singaporean Friend to come! Keep up the good job!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Thorold Country House. Wendy and Gary are such wonderful hosts right from the moment you arrive and very helpful with tips of what to do round the place. I really liked the personal touch of the place and the beautiful breakfast Wendy made. I definitely would stay there again.

Closer to the water than most in Thames. Good except, thin walls, could hear next door showering.
