Safe and pleasant walking city. Convenient to food and shopping. Great views at bay side, harbour area,
Very cosmopolitan city. Food, people, transportation around the city, shopping, relaxation, fun, activities.
Overall, Vancouver has to be one of Canada's most exciting cities of all time and one that I enjoy the most.
Vancouver is one of the best places to go for a mini-vacation. There's 24/7 bakeries, fusion asian-western food that is sometimes even better than the original, and so many clubs you'll definitely find something that is your style.
Vancouver is a great city. Very clean, lots of fun things to do for all travellers. Great options for food an drink!
One of the friendliest cities I've ever visited. Easy to get around, and plenty to see and do. If you're a first time visitor and you're not sure what to do, drop in to the visitor information centre at Canada Place.
Comparing to the state, it's not a good idea to do shopping here as stuffs are more or less the same as what we can find in the state, yet, the price is much higher.
It is a nice city. Good parks and attractions. Food is good and so is shopping and entertainment. Relatively nearby.
A beautiful city, lots of activities to get yourself into! I loved exploring it. Its not the cheapest for nightlife, nor the most exciting.
one of the best places i have arrived in my travels, was sorry to leave. wonderful city. will definitely come back with my family to enjoy!
Wow, what a lovely, clean and well laid out city. The people are very polite and genuinely friendly.
Vancouver is the ultimate city - friendly locals, safe & clean, smoke-free and green-minded, great places to eat, shop and visit, all surrounded by parks, ocean and magnificent mountains!
Vancouver is a very friendly vibrant city. Perhaps plan to spend 3-5 nights here as there is plenty to do during the day such as Stanley park, the markets and Canada Place.
Vancouver is a melting pot of different races hence the abundance of authentic local dishes such as Chinese food, Japanese food, korean food, malaysian food, etc.
I would suggest to rent a bike or walk in downtown Vancouver to see Stanley Park, Gastown , Chinatown and main street will be great
A city with a little bit of everything. Very multi-cultural, with any kind of cuisine you could possibly crave.
Vancouver is beautiful. My family and I love to spend time outdoor walking or cycling around the city and parks.
Coming into Vancouver on the train from Seattle we were not impressed and felt we'd made a huge mistake in coming here.
Vancouver has a lot to offer especially so that it's a melting pot of different cultures. The local Rest.
It has a lot of hidden gems like the Marine building, Holy Rosary Cathedral, Public Library. All great architecture spots to marvel at.

I have visited Vancouver 3 times in my life. Actually I live in Vancouver right now. I love this city because we can enjoy anything I want to eat, also we can try many night clubs if you like.
it's a city. very quite on the street, not much people, not interesting place for shopping. but if you want relax, it's good city as nit busy at all.
It's a city port. Do go to Victoria on Vancouver Island and stay there for more than a day or so. Spend a day at Butchart Gardens - phenomenally beautiful! We also had the best seafood chowder in the world - two nights in a row - in a pub at the back (or front) of the Days Inn Hotel/Motel quite near to the impressive Parliament building and the marina waterfront (in Victoria).
Place is clean, cosmopolitan and people are friendly. Everyone is eager to help, direct or just smile.
Vancouver is a great city with friendly people. I had a flat tire and within 5 minutes 2 different cars pulled over to help.
Great, clean, friendly city,Easy to get around, plenty to see around the city,Good starting point for first time vistitors to Canada.
Was there only for 2 days and mustn't missed the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Booked a tour the the Rockies and enjoy the scenery.
Long day light during summer and climate can be sunny with day temperates below 20C. One negative point - it is common to find people on street asking for loose change.

Transportation Made Simple in Vancouver
Getting around Vancouver is straightforward, thanks to its well-organized public transportation system. The SkyTrain is a rapid transit service that connects the city to surrounding areas, making it easy to reach popular destinations without the hassle of driving. With three lines—Expo, Millennium, and Canada Line—travelers can access key attractions such as the Vancouver Aquarium, Granville Island, and the historic Gastown district.
Buses complement the SkyTrain network, providing comprehensive coverage throughout the city. The buses are frequent and reliable, making them a convenient option for exploring neighborhoods that are not serviced by the SkyTrain. Utilizing a Compass Card simplifies fare payments and allows seamless transfers between different modes of transportation.
For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, biking is a popular and enjoyable way to explore the city. Vancouver has an extensive network of bike lanes and paths, making it easy to navigate while taking in the stunning scenery. Bike rentals are widely available, and cycling along the seawall offers breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. Whether you choose public transit or biking, getting around Vancouver is both efficient and enjoyable.
Practical Information for Your Vancouver Trip
Before embarking on your Vancouver adventure, it's essential to familiarize yourself with some practical information that can enhance your travel experience. First, check the visa requirements based on your nationality, as some travelers may need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before flying to Canada. Having the necessary documents in advance will help avoid any last-minute surprises.
Currency exchange is another important aspect to consider. While many establishments accept credit cards, it's a good idea to have some Canadian dollars on hand for small purchases. Currency exchange services are readily available at the airport and within the city, making it convenient to access cash when needed. Additionally, familiarize yourself with local tipping customs, as it is customary to tip around 15-20% in restaurants and for services.
Health and safety are priorities while traveling. Ensure you have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, as healthcare costs can be high for visitors. Vancouver is generally a safe city, but like any major urban area, it's wise to stay vigilant and keep an eye on your belongings, especially in crowded places.
