Vancouver (BC) hotels & places to stay

Breakfast is what you would find at a regular motel, juice cereal fruit coffee, of course you can cook your own. I bit on the warm and muggy side as the window is small and it is difficult to air out the room. I received bad advice to walk to the aquarium. It was too far and the signs inadequate to find it once inside the park. Best to take the number 6 bus. Otherwise great location and certainly cheaper then a hotel in the area.

Perfect location close to the beach, good staff. The only thing missing is outlets to charge phones.

The location was great, just a short 5-7 minute walk to the port. Restaurants / shops were in close walking proximity. The staff was very friendly and helpful in navigating around the city. The rooms were very clean and the property is well maintained. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Vancouver.

We stayed for 8 nights in this Hotel which is situated a little away from Down town vancouver. The Hotel has Heater/A-c, TV, coffee maker, micro wave, Fridge, and iron with a board etc. the facilities in the rooms were adequate. we had comfortable sleep and the surrounding is calm and quite. There are plenty of out lets to dine in the neighbourhood. Mc donalds, Seven eleven, Dosai factory are some around. You could take No 19 bus to Metro town opposite the hotel and No 20 to go to Down town. this bus goes in the road that is perpendicular to the road the hotel is facing. you need to walk upto the fuel station after Mc donalds and cross the road to your left. Also you can take Bus no 25 from the opposite of the Hotel and goto "Nanaimo" railway station and from there could goto anywhere through "Skytrain" where services are available. The hotel staff were polite and good. however could not give proper direction on transport though. therefore it took a little time for us to understand

Frankly to say, I have traveled to Vancouver so many times and stayed in so many different hotels. Atrium of course can't compare with higher class 5 stars hotels....but as value for money, Atrium tops them all! Very good booking price vs good services, clean room, breakfast and underground very secured parkings. I will pretty sure I will book Atrium again for next travel!

We picked this hotel because it was walking distance from the Waterfront train station. Arriving from the airport by train allowed us to avoid the traffic on the freeways coming into town. Fast, easy, friendly check in allowed us to start exploring Vancouver right away. The only issue was the amount of homeless/drug user/vagrants in the surrounding neighborhoods, but they pretty much kept to themselves. Inside the hotel there were all the amenities that one would expect from a well run establishment. Breakfast was included and the room was spacious enough for us to spread out.

My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Vancouver and were having a hard time finding an affordable hotel that would be reasonably far from the city center. We went with the Comfort Inn in North Vancouver and were pleased with the accommodations. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room, as well as the hotel itself, is a bit old, but the room was clean and had everything that we needed. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, so we were able to easily use public transportation for most of our travel throughout the area.

The hotel is located in the north side of Vancouver, which is a bit of a distance from downtown Vancouver but very close to the suspension bridge. There is a bus stop nearby.

If you're looking for a place to sleep with a great location and price this is the place. Clean room comfy pillows but mattress was a bit hard. Didn't have any trouble sleeping during the day even with the construction next door.

The property was a little hard to find as we were looking for a house number and didn’t realise the number was on the gate. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed firm and the pillows comfortable. The house is quite far from the city centre (journey of 45 minutes) but the bus that takes us into town was s short walk and the supermarket just across from the bus stop, We enjoyed our stay and would stay again,

We stayed at Moda for 3 nights. We found the hotel easily when driving into the city and it was very handy to have on street parking outside to be able to drop our bags before returning our hire car to a car park drop off further up Seymour street. The room was ready even though it was well before check in and the staff were very friendly and welcoming at check in. The room adaquate but found a lack of floor space to open two large suitcases but it’s a city centre hotel so it is to be expected and we worked around it. Our room overlooked the busy Seymour street but the traffic did not disturb us even with the window open. A great coffee maker and a fridge in the room which was clean and very comfy. The hotel was in a great position to get to Granville street, Robson street for shopping and a short walk to Gastown. Happy to stay again if ever back in Vancouver.

Travelling alone in Vancouver on a cold rainy winter is an adventure but luckily I booked a great hotel located at the heart of downtown Vancouver near the Holy Rosary Cathedral, big shopping malls and sandwiched between Granville and Stanley Chinatown MRT stations. You couldn’t get better than this location. The hotel is a 3 star hotel but rich in history and has beautiful interiors, classic design, friendly staff (Kudos to Simon and Jose), well heated and most of all very clean. I was booked at both the private room with bath which is divine and the shared single room with bathroom . The private room is very spacious and elegant with tv and chair. The shared solo room is a bit small but you have your own private space, sink to wash and comfortable bed. The common toilet is very clean and not too busy. The breakfast is simple bread or bagel with coffee, juice and tea plus cereals which is good to start your day. And,The heating system is superb I got a nice escape from cold weather.

After a long Summer having visitors in Seattle, we decided to spend our anniversary weekend away. After deciding Vancouver was the spot I decided it was going to be a decadent weekend and opted for the club level room. Which was a great decision, the continental breakfast was actually very good and it was nice to start the day off with the view from the 25th floor. There was one minor hiccup in the reservation communication where we our Club Level King with a View ended up being a 5th level king. That being said, we showed the check-in clerk the reservation email and they honored it and apologized for the confusion. The room was huge, the bed comfy and the views breathtaking. If we're ever looking for a romantic getaway weekend we'll probably opt for a cheaper stay but hopefully with the Wall Centre.

Best Western is located in West end near the English bay. Since Vancouver downtown is pretty small and covered by a great transportation. Getting into the hotel from the train station was pretty easy with skytrain or bus. The hotel building is an old one with an elevator looks like the 80s but the room is pretty homey. Nice room amenities, great mattras and many goose down pillows. It remains my bed back home. My room has a partial view of English bay. Great panaromic view of sun dawn on the evening and big ships in the morning. The hotes is on a central location closed to park and beach, so it is very comforting not too downtonwny. The only thing concerns me was the price. LOL. since hotel in Vancouver area is very expensive. USD 120++ and up. But overall the hotel is very recommended. even my high-end friends who joined the last couple days gave two thumbs up.

I have Platinum Status with Marriott+Starwood. Didn't feel acknowledged by front desk or anyone else. The hotel does not have a feel of hospitality. The good thing is the Lounge on 25th floor. It was a good experience with good food and service. There are probably much better hotels in the area.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Complimentary tea, coffee and juices were available in the lobby. Staff were helpful and polite and parking was free on site while spaces were available. The location was perfect for us, close to Pacific Station, but may none as convenient for other travellers. There are good bus links within easy walking distance however. The hotel was relatively pricey, but this seems the norm for Vancouver. We would return

This was a bargain in expensive Vancouver. The staff , especially Aida, are very helpful, patient and professional. Location is ideal. Great value for fully modern city core hotei

Our room was ready, clean, welcoming. The Westin is located on the water, so you can watch the boats from your balcony. There is a "hop on hop off" trolley stop at the hotel, as well as an inner city bus stop within walking distance. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood, with a wide array of ethnic food choices. It is also within walking distance to the best shopping district in Vancouver.

Bed was also alittle on the hard side, but comfortable enough. Breakfast was fabulous, Location was only tops 10mins to the train which could take you city and airport very easy. Few restaurants around the area which was helpful. Our room was below entrance so w heard everything coming and going at the entrance with or without suitcases above our room roof.

I had to go to Vancouver for a quick meeting and brought my daughter with me, as she was on spring break. This hotel isn't the closest to the downtown core, where activities for children (science world, aquarium, Stanley park) are located. But it was the most inexpensive one I found on agoda. I have stayed here a number of time while going to Vancouver for work or as a stop over to the airport. I'd say, it's probably one of the best for flights out of YVR, especially for early morning, as traffic is not a concern at all. Getting downtown, or the more fun areas of the city, can be done within 20-30 mins driving, depending on traffic. The room was small, but provided us with what we needed. The White Spot downstairs is convenient for meals.

Location is very good, in the down town of Vancouver, walking distance to 2 Train stations i.e. China Town Station and Granville.

The Residence Inn is clearly a good option for anyone wanting to stay in Vancouver. The staff were really great and friendly. The breakfast was decent but quite busy. The rooms were clean and adequately stocked. The hotel was just 2-3 blocks away from actual downtown... a very convenient location with a 7 / 11 right in front of the door step. Definitely a place I would think about again if I go back to Vancouver.

Vancouver is a very walkable city and the location of the hostel was excellent. Environment was clean overall, and the staff were pretty friendly. The ventilation in rooms were a bit weak however, if your roommate sweated a lot or the weather was hot, it would took a day to get the body odor or the hot air circulated out of the room.
